The previous company didn't get any of the cobwebs or spiders in my garage or doorways if I didn't see them come I would have never known. Aptive came out and sprayed doing a very thorough job knocking down some wasp nests I didn't even know I had. By the next day I'm already finding dead bugs! Max did a great job. I have an active home, especially in the summer months, with 3 young kids. We are constantly outside. We have seen an uptick in hornets, wasps, and yellow jackets. And obviously ticks are always a concern. Max did a fantastic job servicing the house, and I have a great piece of mind when the kiddos are outside. read more

TERRIBLE company. Got a sales guy at our door back in June who made this seem like a great deal, with NO contract, and guys who come monthly to spray. Just got off the phone to try and cancel my "contract" and they tried charging me $300! I then told them that every time I have called/texted I never have gotten a response, and never have seen them back at our house to exterminate. Also we still have ants and nats and flies etc. They told me there are photos on our account showing they have came to spray (never knocked on the door, notified us, never knew they went) and our account was created with the wrong email address, so we can't even log in to see the photos they supposedly have. Spoke with account manager Nikolai who was absolutely helpless and threatened to hang up on me when I told him this business SUCKS, and so does his customer service skills. Got transferred to Connor after asking Nikolai multiple times to speak with someone else. Connor was helpful and I'm trying to remain hopeful that he wasn't lying to us into some other BS, but I do NOT recommend this company to anyone. read more

Service Pros are awesome all of my mosquitoes are gone, salesman said that it's a process to get rid of the bugs so I believed him and I'm glad that I did. I used to have terminix which wasn't doing a good job, still lots of spiders and mosquitoes ever since with Aptive all have been gone! I was having new gutters installed and the salesman would not leave so I decided to give it a try without reading the reviews. The service was only partially completed, worked only marginally well and when I called to find out when they might return, there was never a reply. I texted the tech and also nothing - no call, test or return visit. Once again, they intentionally fail to read my doorbell sign specifically stating "Do NOT ring doorbell, No Solicitors and No Advertising". They rang, not once, but THREE times today at 1:32pm, at 7:35pm, and again at 8:47pm. The third time I answered him directly through my Ring Camera and asked him to read the sign and get off my property or I will call the police. Then this liar had the audacity to tell me, he couldn't read it because it's dark at 8:47pm, but yet, he rang earlier the very same day twice when it was clear as day with my sign. BE AWARE! I don't usually write reviews but I do not like how this company takes advantage of their customers. Do not go with this company. They never told my husband that he was signing into a contract. They told my husband they will come by again to see if the initial treatment worked and that there will be no charge for the second visit. Our credit card was charged for a second time and they claimed we had an appointment with them and only service the front since no one was home to open the gate. Called them and found out we are locked in for an 18 month contract. There's a fee to cancel the contract as well. What turned out to be a good deal is now costing us more now. We ended up paying the termination fee to get out of the contract. read more

They begged me to let them do just one service but I held steadfast on the hard no. 2 weeks later they charged me for the first service anyways claiming I got service yesterday. Called customer service and they told me it was an "honest mistake." Yeah, sure it was buddy. Charging my card 2 weeks later hoping I wouldn't notice? Never had a company scummy enough to pull this move. Told me they took my credit card off the account but I have 0 trust in this company so I'm cancelling the card I gave them. Don't let this company service your house even at the discounted price. That's how they lock you into their 2 year contract where it costs $200 to cancel your service. The sales guy told me I had a week to cancel after the first service to avoid paying $200 but the contract actually said 3 days. Respect the hustle but dirty dirty move Aptive. Please listen to other Yelpers and don't give this scam of a company any business. I initially enjoyed Aptive service, when the cost was only $65, but then it went to $135 / month. After 3 or 4 service calls, I did see some improvement in my yard, so I felt I only needed service once every 2-3 months, especially over the winter months. Unfortunately Aptive has an auto scheduler that booked me automatically every month. For several months I had to continually reschedule my service as I did not feel my yard needed spraying. Finally I emailed and told Aptive to remove me from the Auto Scheduler, and that I would book them as I felt necessary. I explained this in 2 separate emails, but Aptive still continued to auto schedule me. On my 2nd email explaining that I would no longer pay for any services that I personally did not schedule, in return Aptive without my approval cancelled my service charging me an early termination cost of $199. I did not cancel my service, but maybe the $199 is a blessing just to get rid of my service plan with Aptive. So to my understanding, Aptive initial cost, to get me to sign up, was $65, then all future services increased to $135, and to take me off the auto scheduler and/or terminate my service was $199. Definitely not worth to cost to spray and leave a couple roach traps. I can do the same with a quick trip to the Home Depot, and save about $100 per service. I will be sure to let anyone who asks me that I do not recommend to sign up for Aptive. read more

Every time this fraudster company is in the neighborhood, we hear nothing but bad things on Nextdoor app. Tonight the Aptive salesperson came to our door at 7:30 pm...PM, seriously? There is a reason this is the only company that comes to your door at that time, and later. Unfortunately my wife answered and signed up for their service. Afterwards, we discussed and I reminded her of this company. So, she called her bank card provider to cancel the card she gave him and get a new card. Meanwhile, being fully aware that these jerks do this late at night, i knew he'd still be in the tract. So i drove around to find him, which i found him quickly, and this was over a half hour later. I told the guy to cancel anything my wife just signed up for.....please keep in mind i had not yet given him our names or address. He said he could cancel the appointment, but to cancel everything else we would have to call Aptive tomorrow. He said ok, and that was basically the end of the conversation. Before he started to walk away, I asked him how he was able to cancel the appointment if i had not given him the address yet, LOL, to which he replied how would you expect me to know which home this is for as he goes to a lot of houses. I said exactly, I didnt give you our info yet, however you said you'd take care of it and were ready to walk away, so you basically were not going to do anything. So he got on his tablet and allegedly cancelled the appointment. He said its done then started walking away. I said to him, so what house is it, to which he repeated my wife's name to me..........so he DID know who I was, and basically just lied to my face. So this guy was nice enough when at our front door, but once i found him and told him this is a no go, once he thought he was playing games with me, he had a nasty little smirk on his face the entire time. Wow...just reading all of the bad reviews here and I see why. Two guys came to my neighborhood, serviced my next door neighbor's house and then knocked on my door. I wasn't interested in their pest control service, but they were persistent and told me they could offer a one-time, no contract service for the day. The price was low, and I asked them about what they use, which is Chrysanthemum based. They did a one time perimeter spray on my house and I paid them on the spot. Now I"m getting a "past due" collections letter in the mail saying that I need to send payment within 10 days...for what? I have called before to cancel service because I received another letter at some point like this, and apparently they never cancelled it. I just spoke to a woman named Elizabeth in Kansas City and she said she will waive the fee and cancel the agreement because the contract was sent to the wrong email and I never got it. What contract? I never agreed to anything!! Hopefully you never deal with this shady company but if you do, they are in Dallas, Texas and their number is 855-BUG-FREE, or 833-355-3124. I have had several negative experiences with this company. First, the salesman (boy) who came to the door was not very clear. I wrote him a check that never cleared. Had to call to get it sorted. The second time they came out, the technician was only at the house for 8-10 minutes. The next scheduled visit, the technician wrote on his notes that he came, but actually did not come. The pictures of my property were a blank red image. They promised a certain tech that I liked would come out, but a different tech was sent. But mostly, my discontent was the quality of their work. Someone would spray, but the spiders never disappeared. When I tried to cancel before the end of my contract, the gal kept pushing that she could send someone out to re-spray. The only pest control we need would be against Aptive - they're the real pests. At least spiders don't incessantly ring my doorbell! They came to our door today around 12 noon, and after ringing our doorbell approximately 4 separate times, my husband talked to the representative. My husband told him he'd talk to me before agreeing to anything and he gave the representative his email address to send him the quote. Well, the company emailed him a service agreement and several "welcome new customer" emails, as well as a link to upload his credit card ... All in the matter of 1 hour. After reading the reviews, we decided that we wouldn't go with them. The representative came to our door several more times in the last hour to start the treatment.
