The food here at Applebee's is good, but what really kills them is the service. It's absolutely atrocious. I waited 30 minutes for my food on a night where the restaurant wasn't even particularly busy. Then, to really top things off, I asked for a refill on my soft drink, so the waitress took my drink, and then she never came back. I do NOT recommend this Applebee's. read more

The evening of 12 Aug, 2013, I was part of a party of six that ate at this restaurant. The quality of the food was uneven. Some wasn't hot. The burgers were cooked to the point of being denatured, perhaps reheated. The "Applewood" bacon wasn't crisp and was inferior to Shari's. Service was pleasant, but abysmal. The server failed to bring two requested condiments, a beer, and the requested Saltines for the baby. Moreover, confused by the application of a discount voucher, the server intended to collect payment w/o a written bill! The restaurant wasn't crowded but the wait for food was long. It is REALLY hard to register a complaint. A call to the restaurant revealed that the general manager wasn't available. The email form on the Applebee's website didn't work. A call to Applebee's customer service resulted in an after-hours message at 10AM on a weekday. A call to the parent company, DineEquity, connected me to an operator who said she was directed to not connect the public with a live person. read more

I have no idea why I came here again. I should have learned from the last time. I swear they have the temperature set on 50°F. I'm afraid to have a beer from the taps because the last time i did it stuffed me up so fast i couldn't even finish it (dirty lines). My son ordered the house steak (med well) and it came out black. Last Sunday evening, my wife and I decided to try our local Applebee's once again. (We had been avoiding this restaurant for months because of a previous bad experience.) However, I wanted a nice salad and I know from my experience at the Richland, Washington, restaurant that they had great salads. We hoped that in the past several months that their service crew would have improved. We arrived around 7 PM and had to wait for a few minutes to get a table. The place was busy, but the hostess told us there weren't any seats and we would need to wait about 7 minutes. Looking around there were several empty tables that needed to be bussed. Our server showed up after we sat down at the assigned table, but she didn't seem pleased that we only ordered water and a coke to drink. She came back to take our dinner order about 15 minutes after bringing our drinks. I ordered a southwest steak salad, and my wife only wanted a bowl of their French onion soup. I also requested an order of bread. It took about 30 minutes to finally get our dinner delivered and my southwest steak salad was deplorable - the steak was cold and the chip strips on top were soggy! I was hungry, so I just ate the salad as complaining about it would add another 1/2 hour or more. (It may have been sitting on a counter somewhere?) I asked for a spread on the bread, but that took another 10 minutes and she didn't have the forethought to bring a knife along to spread it with. I didn't want to bother her for a knife, so I just dipped the bread in the spread. After we ate, it took a long time to get our bill. We only saw one employee in the restaurant, and that was the bartender. We finally saw the hostess and asked her if we could see the manager. He came out fairly quickly and apologized for the service claiming that he had requested more help from their corporate management, but they told him that he had a big enough crew to accomplish the job. I feel sorry for the manager, because without his corporate support they won't stay in business - I don't know how they stay in business with the deplorable service. We were there for 2 hours! They must depend on all the unsuspecting highway traffic on Highway 97. My wife and I will not return to this restaurant. read more

My family and 5 of my work colleagues went to Applebee's last night for a business dinner. When we arrived we were greated by a young kid and he told us they would get a table for all of us and that it would be about a 15-20 min. wait. After waiting, we were seated by the young man he was very polite and friendly then the waitress "Jasmine" came by and asked if we wanted some drinks. My wife asked Jasmine what they had on tap and she said "the tap is over there" and she pointed! We asked her again what drinks they had on tap because we couldn't see all the way over there to where she was pointing at. After a lil while she then started to mention the different kind of drinks that were on tap, acting very rudely like it was an inconvenience for her even though that is her job! After we ordered she asked if we knew what we wanted to order to eat, we informed her that we just got seated and we didn't get a chance to look at the menu, she didn't say aything she just turned around and left. After about 15 minutes she came back and asked if we were ready to order, my work colleagues and I were discussing business topics and we didn't quite hear her because the place was a bit loud and we were having a business discussion. Jasmine then snapped her fingers at us and said "umm excuse me! Are you ready to order or not!?" We felt very disrespected by the way she was talking to us and how we were treated! After placing our orders the appetizers came out and we had to eat them with our hands because she didn't bring any silverware out to the table and she hadn't passed by so we couldn't ask for some. After finishing our appetizers, my work colleagues and I went to the bar to have a couple drinks before our food arrived, when we got back to our table I noticed my wife and my colleague's wife were very upset. I asked what had happened and they said that the waitress Jasmine had passed by and made some rude comments about my daughter's that were sitting at the table! At this point I asked the young kid that seated us if the manager was available. When the manager "Ryan" arrived at our table I introduced myself and so did he, I then began to explain to Ryan of how poorly we were being treated and the rude comments made by Jasmine. Ryan said that he was going to take care of it and he was going to comp our meals for the inconvenience. I thanked him and waited for our food. After we had finished our food Jasmine came by and gave us our check, I was very confused because Ryan had said that he was going to take care of it. Ryan came by moment's later and asked if everything was ok, I informed Ryan that there must of been a mistake and he took the bills and our groupons we had and he said he was going to be right back. When he came back he said don't worry I took care of it, I asked him what does that mean? He said we didn't have to pay that he took care of the bill. Well when we got home we noticed that Ryan had put our groupon codes and used $30 dollars of our groupons that we had paid for. There for he lied to us about not having to pay and still charged us and used our groupons we had saved. We felt very discriminated and harassed and lied to, if the manager says you don't have to pay for your meals then goes and charges and uses our groupons $30 dollars worth we had paid for already I find that to be very dishonest! And I feel like I had been robbed of my money! This has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a restaurant, I will let people know of my experience and I will also write more reviews about this place in other platforms so they see what kind of service they have there. I will never go to this place again! read more

Was at a nearby hotel Super 8 for a three night stay. First night, called ahead for a pick up and I walked over to get my food. 50 mins later I finally got my food, my order was lost and my food was on the house, thank goodness!) I thought that for my last night here, it might be better. I ordered online instead for a pick up. Soup, salad and garlic potatoes. Super simple. Walked over in the freezing cold and got a beer while I waited. I was given a bag of food that wasn't my order. Gave it back, got my order then walked back in the cold to my hotel room, where I found I had no dressing for my salad. We ask for a window seat to enjoy the beautiful day. Instead of clearing the booth by the window they cleared the table in-between the windows. A few minutes after being seated a group of women were sat by the window seat and the waitress ask if the would like the blinds closed. They said yes. Nice. Then we waited 15 minutes for for a appetizer that wasn't so appetizing. We order a burger with no ketchup and cheddar cheese instead of American. When we get are burger of course are burger has American. So we send the burger back telling her we wanted cheddar She comes back a few minutes later and says it does have america. So we have to tell for a third time no we want cheddar and when its returned to us for the third time they scraped off the american and most of the topping we paid extra for and on top of it they add ketchup. The service was horrible. Even though we were polite about the situation and WE apologize she mad it very obvious she was irritated. I always love this place and I'm very sad I had this experience. Our friends invited us to Applebees in Redmond last night, and we weren't very enthusiastic after our last experience there about a year ago. We're glad we gave it another shot. The staff was friendly, the food was good, but the main thing that made our evening incredible was the entertainment. They had a magician there named Jackson who was performing for the tables next to us. He came to our table and impressed us with some VERY good magic tricks (my wife is still talking about them). Then, as soon as he finished, our food arrived and we had a great dinner. Our only complaint was that the drinks took a little longer than expected, but it seems like Applebees is raising the bar these days. read more

Keep trying Applebee's thinking with all the poor reviews they would attempt to improve. They continue to have problems seating their guests in a timely manner, waiting on your table after your seated and the food quality is inconsistent. Other Applebee's locations don't seem to have this problem. So I went into Applebee's again tonight but as I was waiting to be seating a couple got up from their table to leave. The food server rushed to their table. The couple explained that they had been waiting for 15 minutes to be waited on. She convinced them to stay, but not me. We eat at this Applebees frequently and usually enjoy it. We went in today and the service was only fair. I ordered a nine ounce steak medium and it was medium well and simply was not good. My baked potato came without any butter and the French onion soup was only warm. This Applebees no longer has gravy with any meal. Will try other restaurants in the Redmond area that have a better quality of food. read more

Well, tonight's visit wasn't without complications but I can tell they are trying out new customer service standards and I was impressed. I took my two kids for dinner and we tried out the 3 course meal options. The salads and appetizers were sent out almost immediately. My spin dip was hot and amazing. No complaints. Then we were waiting for quite a while for our entrees, however, it was nice just hanging out with my kids and they were mature enough to be pleasant tonight so we didn't say a thing. I believe it was almost an hour and I saw other people getting their food that came in after us but I didn't say anything. I believe the manager came out to our table and said there was a computer issue that didn't give the cooks our entree options. He apologized and said he would be comping our meals and it would be 8 to 10 minutes. The entrees arrived and they were hot and delicious. They didn't have to comp all of our meals but they have come a long way since the last time we were there. Go, Applebee's. We will be back. read more

I went to dinner tonight with my husband and 4 year old son. Worst service I've had in my life. No refills on our drinks (not even an offer). Midway through our meal our server brought us boxes, and our check (we weren't even done eating, or asked if we wanted either.) No offer of a dessert menu or anything. They pretty much shoved us out the door and it was highly unappreciated. I've never had worse service in my life. We will not be returning here. Be careful where you spend your hard earned money. We went to Applebee's for my granddaughters birthday. Applebee's normally has their staff sing happy birthday. They never did get around to doing so even though we were there for nearly two hours. Plus our meals were not hot, and their customer service was unacceptable. The only time we saw the manager is when we specifically asked for him. This evening --- waitress forgot about us, never took orders for drinks,; finally took drink order, however didn't know what beer was on tap - would find out (never did); never brought the one drink ordered. Walked in at 5:50pm was told there would be a "few" minute wait. 17 minutes later we were seated waited 5 minutes for water and an additional 10 to have our order taken. 25 more for the appetizer and 20 more after that for our meal to come out that was not cooked right and sent back. Terrible everything. First the light at our table was out, there was a crack in my husbands beer glass, ordered fries for the kids they came after our meals came out, food came out and a $13 salad have hardly any lettuce on it, one of our wedge salads never came, fries were cold, Cole slaw didn't come out with meal. The most terrible service I have ever had. Tried two nights in a row and it was even worse the second time. Both times the restaurant wasn't close to full and the service was horrific. Staff was rude and annoyed we were taking up their time. Food was mediocre and cold. drinks we had to actually order from the bar by walking over at which the so called waitress was annoyed! I couldn't even order. I tried calling the phone number to order food to go and the line was busy for 15 minutes. I gave up after that so who knows how long the line remained busy. I can't believe this place is open. Service sucks. The service here is awful. It's Monday night, there were only about 10 other people total in the restaurant. We were seated fairly quickly and told our waitress Deann would be right with us. 15 minutes later she came and asked what we would like to drink. She didn't ask us if we would like appetizers. We asked for two waters. 10 minutes later, she brought us our waters and took our orders. We didn't see her again until we were finished with our meal. Our glasses sat empty for the last 20 minutes we were there. I kept glancing over at Deann trying to get her attention, but she was too busy flirting with a guy at the bar to notice. When she finally came and and asked us if we wanted dessert, I asked for the check. She never brought it. Finally the busboy brought us our check because he could see we were getting irritated. This was the first time I have left $0.00 for a tip. That felt like I was being generous. read more
