It'd be 0 stars if that were possible. My boyfriend is Celiac and a group of my friends and I went to dinner the other night here. The last time my boyfriend and I went to Applebee's, a waitress guaranteed him that what he was going to order was gluten free and all. He took a bite and realized that his allergen was in what he just ate. For anybody who doesn't know what celiac is, you can't eat any form of gluten, no wheat, rye, barley, and nothing gluten containing may touch anything he's about to eat or he'll end up VIOLENTLY ill. Then, the other night, we go and he's too scared to eat there so he decides to run over to Mary's to get a pizza that he knows WILL NOT make him sick like applebees did the last time, and they refused to let him in the door with it at all. Fucking ridiculous. Applebees is HORRIBLE. I will NEVER eat there again and neither will the two groups of people we went with both times. Applebees does NOT care about their customers whatsoever. We are FURIOUS. I will be giving applebees the WORST of reviews. Will never spread anything good about them again. That was the last straw. Oh, not to mention, the other night some lady starts freaking out on some early 20s man calling him a child molester and saying he molested her son and to everyone in there keep your children with them, and they kicked her out. The guy didn't deny it, he just looked around at everyone watching. Applebees sucks. I'm done. read more

When I first came to Windsor lo these many years ago there were two choices when it came to dining. On the Old Highway near the freeway, in the building now occupied by UME Japanese Bistro, there was a bar which mainly catered to the local rednecks however if you were hungry the owner had some frozen hamburgers which he would pop into his gas oven (no microwaves in those days). Or, over on the other side of town on Conde Lane, there was a trailer park/campground that had a little snack bar. The lady there would sell you a Hershey Bar or a bag of Lays potato chips, although if you were REALLY hungry she did have some frozen burgers that could be heated in her toaster oven. So when it came to fine dining in Windsor, your big decision was, did you want your burger heated in an electric toaster oven or an actual gas model? You could spend an evening debating the pros and cons of the toaster oven burger vs the gas oven. That was forty years ago. Today Windsor has about 30 restaurants including, as of July 26, 2008, an Applebee's. Usually you have to give a new restaurant a few months to get up and running, but what the hell, this is Applebee's, not some gourmet restaurant. Nothing about Applebee's is really special, the food is merely average, the drinks are tasty but stingy on the booze, and the service is hit-and-miss. But I like the atmosphere, the seamless combination of sports bar and family restaurant, and I'm glad to see that they've finally made it to my home town. The new location has a slightly more upscale decor than the other restaurants in the area, keeping the local memorabilia on the walls to a minimum. It seemed like half the population of Windsor was waiting for a table this evening, but somehow the newly-trained staff were doing a decent job keeping the customers satisfied. The food met our expectations, everybody found something they liked on the menu, and I was more than happy with my pomegranate margarita. I don't think we'll be coming here that often, but it's nice to know we have an Applebee's in the neighborhood when the mood strikes. Three stars. read more

I gave one star because the beer is cold and comes in a nice tall glass, otherwise I would give it negative stars if it is an option. Its standard chain food, usually microwaved and if you're lucky the food will come out not cold. I would like to meet the person or people who approved an Applebee's in Windsor. I think we have enough less than stellar chain restaurants in Santa Rosa/Windsor area. read more

Had dinner here with my wife this evening. I thought it would be nice to have something other than leftovers from Christmas dinner. I ordered fajitas (steak) to be grilled medium, my wife ordered a sirloin to be grilled medium well and some how they mixed the orders up. The dishes were dirty which explains why someone from another review complained of food poisoning. Never saw management on the floor at all. This AppleBee's will not be our first choice if we decide to go to an AppleBee's again. We'll head to Santa Rosa next time. read more

Way too hit or miss. Had to stay at the Hampton for a while and it's right next door. Food was typical so so Applebee's food the first time I ate there. The second time I came by myself and waited.... And waited... Then ten minutes after being seated and seeing two other tables get their order taken, I waited another 5 and still nothing, not even a water! I said your loss Applebee's you can suck it and walked out. Won't be getting anymore of my money. Horrible customer service. Microwave dinner way better option! read more

I've lived down the street from this place for years, and honestly, in writing this, I've realized for the first time how continuously bad the service is. As a whole there is just a cycle of laziness and unprofessionalism that makes eating at this particular Applebees a pain. I grew up loving whenever we went to Applebees as a kid and to this day am a huge fan of the food, but it just seems that too often, the service has taken too long on slow weekday nights, the hosts and servers have been unhelpful and preoccupied with their own thoughts, and the bartending quality, for those who enjoy going out to bars, is genuinely flat out poor. Most recently I had a late night bar tender doing nothing but talk to one of her coworkers while my drink just sat there waiting to be taken to my table some thirty feet away. When I asked the bartender about this her response was completely rude, sarcastic and unnecessary. I talked to the manager about it and he was nice enough and gave me a few free coupons, but all in all I just don't like going to this apple bees anymore. I'd much rather drive the extra seven miles to eat at the one in Santa Rosa. read more

My names Levi. Was staying next door at the Hampton. Ate there with 2 of my co workers every night. Construction. Good was good. Last night there this gorgeous bartender with beautiful tried to strike conversation. But j was to nervous. If she ends up ever reading this tell her to email me. Levichelm at gee mail. Don't even know if she'll ever see this. But it's worth a try. read more

Mixed reviews. Lunch at 1pm on a Sunday afternoon. Maybe 20 people in restaurant with 4 or 5 servers, yet to get any service we had to keep waving our server down. Service was slow. Husband's meal was great (steak & shrimp). I had the french dip sliders, they were OK. Served with very little sauce and horribly rubbery, lukewarm fries. She brought out more fries, weren't any better. I ate 4. She never offered to reduce my ticket considering I didn't eat half the meal. This was my second time here. For a $35 lunch, won't be back. read more

The usual good service here is gone. Stopped to have lunch 7/26/14, it wasn't even 1/4 full. We were seated right away a server passed our table twice to help another table, then nothing. We sat for 10 mins, no drink order taken, no one spoke to us BUT we did witness ALL of the wait staff take a seat in the bar area to gossip with all the laughing and carrying on they were doing. We will not be eating here again. read more

I ordered the BLT looks great in the picture says it has 6 slices of bacon it came with two slices of bacon, one piece of wilted lettuce and two half slices of tomato on untoasted bread, things seem to be going down hill quickly. We need a decent late nite eatery in Windsor. Applebee's is not it. read more

So we just walked into Applebee's. They had about 3/4 full. We were told it would be about a 20-30 minute wait because "They can't seat people if the cooks can't handle the orders." We are a party of 6 with young children. We asked if we could just be sat at an open table while we wait. The hostess told us she didn't know because she had only been there 3 days. We asked to speak to the manager. She came back a few minutes later and said he couldn't come out because he was helping with ordered in the back!!!!! What kind of manager at a restaurant doesn't come out when they are asked for? Then a customer walks by and said they waited over an hour for their food and then they didn't even have their order. We walked out. Sorry Crapplebee's you have officially lost our business. Has anyone else noticed that service everywhere has just been totally crappy? I never rant like this, but I am so over it! read more

Our family went to Applebee's last night. Don't go there. I asked for a blackberry lemonade with a shot of vodka. My 10 year old ordered the same thing without the vodka as it was originally on the non alcoholic menu. When my daughter got her drink there were no blackberries as shown on the menu in her drink and in a large glass I questioned the waitress but her response didn't make any sense? When I got mine I had blackberries in mine and was in a very small cocktail glass! It was disappointing as I wanted the larger glass to cover the vodka taste and when I asked the waitress again she stated that it was small glass cause it came from the bar- but the drink originally was non alcoholic? We ordered our food from the 2/$25 menu-- what we got compared to the picture on the menu was a big disappointing letdown. I ordered this mashed potatoes with cut rare steak that had gravy and onion rings on top. What I got was over cooked meat 2 tiny onion rings and they threw on French fries? In hind sight I wish I would have taken a pick of the food I actually received and a pick of the menu picture to post. Someone else in our family ordered this cooked potatos with chicken breast that ( in the menu) had a light sauce with shrimp. Sorry I don't remember the names of the dishes. What we got was a sizzling plate with raw onions the potatoes and onions were super hot like they had been microwaved ( the manager assured us they weren't). Chicken breast was warm with a pat of herbed butter on top of the chicken that was not melting?? No shrimp or the nice sauce shown on menu. We tried explaining things to the manager but all she could offer was one free dessert. We won't be back. False advertising read more

Will never go here again. Completely incompetent Bartender who proceeded to charge us for erroneous drinks and food on our bill. We have come here frequently with a large group and never had an issue, there is a waitress there who is fabulous and has consistently been delightful with our group. We are local, honest families who have given them a ton of business. The Bartender charged us for items we did NOT HAVE to the tune of $125+. He also tried to double bill another person in our party. Then, the Bartender proceeded to CLOCK OUT and LEAVE us with this completely inaccurate bill! The Manager was beyond unprofessional and told us that our friends who left earlier must have left us with their bill and told us we had been there all day drinking...excuse me?! NOT TRUE, and where did your Bartender go? Everyone in our Party had separate bills and paid them in their entirety when they left. The waitress who normally helps us felt horrible but there was little she could do. We were completely horrified. Never again. read more

Applebees has always been a good option to bring kids and not feel like a complete jerk if they start to act up. BUT, last week we went there and I got some serious food poisoning. I ordered the French Dip sliders (which might have been my first mistake) and only ate 1 1/2 of them because there was a ball of human hair wrapped around some of the meet in the second one. I was completely grossed out but politely (and quietly) told the waitress about it. She was very nice and did not charge me for my order. However, within 2 hours of the meal, I (a 20 week pregnant woman) began throwing up and it lasted for at least 6 hours over night. I am still feeling the effects of it now. I called them and they just kept telling me about their safety procedures. I hope that they checked on that meat but didn't sound like they were going to do much, let alone report the incident. I WOULD NOT recommend going there. read more

I had the Absolute worst service ever by our server and Manager. 5 of us decided to go have drinks after work, when we walked in a customer at the bar offered us a round of shots. We gladly accepted but when it came time to pay the bill we all were charged. We asked our server what happened and she said " that's what you ordered", We explained that the customer at the bar had asked her for the shots. The bartender came to us and said "no he bought you jello shots just pay for it its only 350" we were a little confused by this so we asked for the manager because our server couldn't even get our bill right .when the manager came we told her what happend and explained we are all in the food service industry and we would pay for this mistake but WE DID NOT order a round of shots, and she told us "its your responsibilty to make sure the server knows whats going on, shes a little stressed out"after she had the audacity to say that to us she called over the server to argue with us, to be breif we paid the bill and WILL NOT BE RETURNING!!! please do everyone a favor and get your Managers some customer service training. read more
