Beef Bulgogi Fries
Barry B.

This place is a beacon of evening food and service. When the rest of the San Rafael dining scene closes, the Flatiron continues feeding hungry customers. The food is hearty and homemade. We all liked the food- the standout for me was the bulgogi fries: salty, spicy, vinegary kimchi and cheesy. What a punch of flavor.

The Bulgogi tacos were even better than delicious

This is probably one of my most favorite places to eat in our area.. Today we went shopping, it was a good time. We decided to come here to eat, why?? Because it's a really cool atmosphere, the service is good..The food is outstanding! That's why!..LOL... We made sure to get in here at a good time though..Lesson learned.. We started with some drinks, I like their Margarita. We shared the Nachos they post about in front of the restaurant.. Its so much better than going to the Gym! O.K. All seriousness, We had another good meal here, we also decided it's one of our favs..The nachos..really really good!! Have them! You will not be sorry. We probably didn't need tacos too..We shared the Bulgogi tacos and the fish tacos..Also really good! This place in my book is an A plus..The food has consistently been 100% on point The service also, clean place..It checks all my boxes..I did need to learn to call first if it's late..This time we had no issues at all. Thankyou..

Asian chicken salad and half of glass of Sauvignon blanc.

Such a great find. This is one of our Saturday afternoon favorites. Great staff, excellent food, positive vibe and lots of tv's. Rotating beer taps and full bar too. Kid friendly but definitely a sports bar, complete with various artifacts of sporting events gone by. My default is the Asian chicken salad. I crave it after long runs: I'm a good eater and this one (with added chicken) delivers on taste and portion. Hubby rotates through tacos, wings and taco salad while hungry teenagers enjoy burgers, chicken Caesar wrap and BLT. Parking is easy.

Recipe but some how charged my card sixty

Ugh I love this place. Again, I come here whenever I'm in town I hope I can become a regular in their eyes! They have amazing food their potatoe skins or whatever they're loaded potatoes and they're the best food ever I crave them always and I wish they had a flatiron here in Sacramento it's delicious and it's always a good vibe whenever you go in, there's always other people having food and drinks and having a good time. Recently found out about their taco night and happy hour I'll hopefully be returning for that! Yum! Love this place to death

A bar that makes a delicious mojito, finally! Many bars don't have mint.

This watering hole has been around a long time in San Rafael, sister restaurant to State Room. Surprisingly, the food is delicious for a bar. The drinks are strong, bartenders are friendly and attentive. Waitstaff are on point. Check out their calendar for Karaoke nights. This is a happening place on 2nd & B street. Highly recommend the blackened chicken sandwich, coconut shrimp, Korean bulgogi fries, etc. Great place to catch a game or two. Ample street parking up and down B street. 'Til next time ~ cheers and see you on Yelp (SYOY)!

Grateful there is a latenight bar that serves food around these parts. A busy spot. Bar and table seating there. There is a definite dinner, evening and late night crowd here! They have pub grub and desserts. Lots of TV's to watch sports.

I love that they have late night kitchen on the weekends and inclusive menu. Always friendly and quick service.

I honestly didn't realize how much I'd enjoy playing pinball until coming here--there aren't many spots that have that kind of unique feature anymore, and it really added to the experience. I went for a Yelp Elite event, and it was great. The owner was there and super welcoming, and his staff were genuinely nice and attentive. We were given bracelets that gave us access to two drinks, which was a fun self-pour experience. That said, it would've been helpful to get a quick tip on pouring (like tilting your glass) beforehand--foam can sneak up on you fast , especially with so many people around. Because it was busy, we were also given a card that allowed unlimited access to the games, which was awesome and made the night even better. I definitely enjoyed my time here. The owner also mentioned that you can rent individual tables or even the whole venue for events, which is something I'd absolutely consider in the future. I'll definitely be back.

Menu is varied: noodle bowls, wood fired pizzas, crunchy chicken sandwich, calamari...and they take a "burger" to a whole new level (our family unanimously says it's the best burger we've ever had). And if you like beer they have a great selection there as well. I recommend the altered state - but at 9% only one! We also love the vibe: you can come casual or polish up! High ceilings, wise lighting, strategic booth walls and level changes make the place seem larger than it is, yet cozy at the same time. My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting the owner Matt today. It was clear where the customer service culture comes from - he's done a great job setting the tone. We'll be back...again...and can't recommend it enough.

Who knew Prosecco was the perfect pairing with corned beef and herbed, salted butter (which I slathered over everything--it's not every day...it's ok!) And I asked for corn street-sized tortillas; I made corned beef tacos with roasted potatoes and al dente cooked sweet carrots. So flavorful. I didn't eat the cabbage (being Bohemian, I'm used to a different flavor). Oh but that bread pudding--and I don't usually like bread pudding. That sauce was awesome! Creamy, very flavorful maple. Wow. Paired well with black decaf coffee with cubes of raw sugar. Always welcoming staff. Excellent, varied choice of music--great rock classics and more.

We were just looking to…read morehave kind of hors d'oeuvres and a cocktail and just hang out together, because we found ourselves with a rare four-hour window where the kids were occupied and we could just do whatever we wanted. This was a nice way to spend a few hours. The space is neat. It's as small, somewhat dark ambiance with the windows blacked out. So, you do loose your sense of time a bit inside. That's actually nice as it feels like you went somewhere/somewhen else for a while. We had a Manhattan and a Kentucky Mule, and, additionally, we had three different shareable appetizers. First thought, we ordered and devoured a really exceptional cheese plate. I know cheese plates seem a little meh sometimes, but this was really good! I would absolutely order it again. In fact, I would definitely go there just to have the cheese plate again with a drink, a glass of wine. We also had the three tacos shareable. There were three tacos that were stunningly good. Lastly a dish with some little steak medallions and a shrimp. Each of these was about two bites and the flavor and texture was excellent. All three of the shareables and the drinks were exceptional. I have to call out that, with the cheese board, came a little loaf of bread. That bread was really good all on its own. I would definitely want to eat it. I can still taste it. It was really good, but my wife, she's gluten intolerant. They offered, because she couldn't eat the bread, they offered to also bring her out some gluten-free crackers, so she got to enjoy the cheese board just the same without the bread. They gave her the crackers, and do you know, they just gave her those extra. They didn't ask for something more. They didn't do anything. They just took care of her. I really appreciate that. I have to also give a shout out to the Jessica. I don't know how she did it, but she was taking care of the whole room of tables I think. Nice. We ordred all three shareables at the same time and she thoughtfully said, 'do you mind if I course these out for you?' We said yes and she did. I don't think anybody felt like they didn't have everything they needed, so a shout out to you, Jessica, really well done. We're grateful for the service and the high quality dining experience that you gave us on a moment's notice. I hope we can visit again soon. And, especially we want to check out The Boardroom soon. NOTE: This is in a kind of older looking strip mall. Don't be concerned about that at all! It threw us off a little at first and we did wonder when we pulled in though if we were in the right place. Happily, we were!

It's inside a mall, and I did not see any directories to point the way. Once we found it and sat down, I noticed the sign telling us to scan the QR code on the table to order. Honestly, that almost sent me right back out the door. I wanted an actual menu, not a tiny phone screen with lots of scrolling and submenus, especially since I had questions about the food. The atmosphere felt a bit impersonal at first, mostly because of the mall setting and the QR-code ordering system, but the friendly staff helped make it feel much more comfortable once we got settled. The two people working the front were both very pleasant, answered my questions, and made the whole experience feel much more welcoming. They had a decent IPA selection and a variety of bar foods (pizza, wings, appetizers). We ordered the arancini, fried cauliflower, and a pizza. The fried cauliflower was the surprise hit for me, especially with the garlic aioli. The arancini and pizza were also very good. The QR ordering setup still feels more frustrating than inviting, but the friendly service and surprisingly good food turned things around. In the end, I left glad that I stayed.

I sat right at the bar, and it took 30 minutes for one of the bartenders to even acknowledge I existed. I reminded her that I had already paid cash (and hadn't received my change). This was the most attention I got over the 4 hour game. That said, the bartender wasn't too busy to serve the locals at the counter multiple times, chatting and laughing extensively with the regulars who were passing around homemade cupcakes or sharing plates of food they'd ordered from the Mexican restaurant next door.
