Really wish I hadn't come here for dinner. I just wanted to enjoy myself. Nope what was I thinking. The customer service was so bad. One of the waiters was mad dogging me and practically yelled at me when I said I was gonna move to a different table so my feet would not be dangling. Waitresses acted like I was a bother to them. I downloaded the app so I could earn coupons and birthday reward. After recieving my emails coupons and birthday reward I discovered that I can only redeem all of these by " dining in ." This is not possible for me as a caregiver of a bed -bound son. We order take out food and should also be able to enjoy coupons and rewards based on what we purchase or earn. Yet, I will not be able to use my coupons because I cannot physically eat our purchased food INSIDE Applebees. Came here for my friend's birthday with her mom and her two young children (2 y.o. and ~ 1yr). The greeter was super nice and she was training someone who was also personable. The wait wasn't too bad, BUT it seem to take a while for the place to be empty. Once seated, our initial drink and apps order was taken relatively quickly and the server was nice. Let me just get to the point. The food = okay. My order seemed to be the only one that wasn't great. Cold chicken nachos. My friend's mom alcoholic beverage was overly iced. After we received our apps, service got really slow. They don't have kid-sized cups. Because of COVID, there are no slings for infants, so the baby was in her car seat in the booth. There were extra charges on our bill for games that were "played," but our machine was broken. I went to Applebee's today in Palmdale with the family and the main reason why I'm giving one star is due to the way we were treated. To be honest, I had a bad experience years ago due to the bad service from the waiters and waitresses. For that reason, I did not go back again. So I went today after a long while and giving the benefit of the doubt that things changed. But of course, it did not. At first, we were seated at the bar area. We didn't like where we were assigned to sit and we kindly asked the guy who assigned us if we can sit somewhere away from the bar and we didn't mind to wait for an area to open. However, the guy was rude and told us there was no where else to sit and we had no other choice due to not having enough servers. It seemed that Applebee's did not improve with their care and service towards their guests. Today, we were served by the bar tender and I understand that he works both the bar and a server. But the bar tender that treated us today was rude, unfriendly, and not helpful. When it came to ordering our food, he was not attentive to what we wanted and he was in a way rushing us to order. We tried not to bother him that much because he was more busy with serving alcohol. But here and there where we asked for something it was a bother for him. When our food was served, the food was stale, cold, and very salty. Like they just warmed up in a microwave and then serve the meals. Officially, we will not ever come here again. The service and food is horrible, I'm surprised this place is still open... I guess Applebee's serve well if you're at the bar itself or you request alcohol with your meal. read more

It is unfortunate that our family experienced the worst service at our neighborhood Applebees in Palmdale Ca. Our server Katerin P took 20 minutes to come to our table after being seated. Instead of greeting us with a warm introduction, she annoyingly came to ask if we were ready to order without asking us if we wanted beverages. She didn't introduce her self nor took interest in any of our needs. We placed our dinner order which was Two, 2 for $25 meals, a side of fries for a CHILD and three Alcholic beverages. needless to say she NOT once came to check to see if our food was okay or even see if we got what we ordered, the runner brought the food (we never received the fries until later when we waived down another server and he then waived her down) we got tired of waiting for our alcoholic beverages so we kindly told her we didn't want them anymore. At this point our appetizers and entrees were out & finished. (Still waiting on the child fries at this point). She then walked straight to the bar to get the strawberry Margarita that was sitting in the bar brought it back to our table and sat it on the table without saying a word, we looked at each other puzzled & advised her didn't want the alcoholic beverages anymore AGAIN since we were already finished eating our appetizers and Entres. her exact condescending words were 'Oh You don't want it anymore!? okay fine, no problem' and snatched the drink back, it was absolutely baffling. After this occurred we asked her for the check. It was then when I decided it was time to make mangement aware of situation. Once i explained to manager what occurred she said 'oh okay i'm sorry i'm going to go ahead and comp your drinks'... my words to her were, i wouldn't except anything less We never got the drinks and in addition when we did receive one of them she Sntached the drink away. To recap this is what happened 1. Server Katerin P took 20 minutes to come to our table after being seated 2. Never introduced her self nor asked about us the consumer, 3. Katerin P did not ask for drinks went straight to 'you ready to order'? 4. condescending behavior 5. rushed us to leave non apologetic 6. manager made it seem she was doing me a favor by compting beverages we never received 7. over all bad experience, cold food & poor service wouldn't frequent location again. read more

Tonight I came in with my daughter to have a nice meal. As we walked in there were people falling off there chairs from being intoxicated heavily. I thought this is supposed to be a Family establishment. My daughter was scared. She says dad whats going on why are people falling and hitting their head (Dad let's go is what she told me) There was no manager around at the time she was in the back cooking due to having no cook. The cook the previous day flip over the stove and quit so they were closed. Palmdale Applebees is a circus and ran by clowns. Management is a joke and does not know how to keep it safe for a family environment. If I wanna see people falling over from being drunk cause you're overserved I might as well go to a bar. That's how it felt when I walked in . I would not recommend coming to this Applebee's until something changes as far as management and management controlling their staff from over serving customers and personal friends from other establishments. Applebees need to provide more training to there bartenders so they can do there job correctly and know when to cut off customers when they had enough drinks. I hold Applebees accountable for my daughters bad experience, and now she doesn't want to go back there. It was all good until the end of the my visit. I found out I was over-charged by one item. Small deal, I thought. Our waiter took it to the big and tall lady, who I thought was the manager, She came down telling us the time frame when the charges were entered which was from 6pm.
