Oct. 2024. Staff was very friendly. Everything was beautiful and I just wish they were open for longer especially since it's Fall and it's apple picking and cider season.

We were invited here by my hunny's brother and girlfriend. This was their first time Apple picking, but not ours. Albeit, Apple Dave's was not our favorite orchard we still managed to have a great time. Mainly because of the great company and contagious laughter spread throughout our group. Try to get here early because they were pretty packed by the time we arrived which was around 1:45pm. I didn't realize they close at 5pm. Also they're only open on the weekend, Saturday & Sunday from 11am - 5pm. Bags are ridiculously priced for apple picking. The small shopping bag was $17 and the large shopping bag was $32. Unlike the orchards we've been to, Apple Dave's doesn't provide any maps and the orchard is not labeled. Unfortunately for us the majority of apples were picked over. We really had to go further into the orchard to find decent apples. My hunny managed to find a few decent sized apples and I ended up picking the smaller ones which were within arms reach. We picked apples for about 45 mins which worked up our appetite. There's not a huge selection of food here, but we decided to try the tacos. Much to our surprise they were inexpensive and tasty. We opted for the 3 for $10 deal which consisted of Chicken and Beef Tacos. They offered Pico De Gallo, Onions, Cilantro, Red Sauce, and Green Sauce. We also took part of the hard cider and the pink moscato which were both equally delicious. Drinks were super cheap and I felt a nice buzz from the cider. This was my first time having hard cider and I must say I really wanted to take a keg back to our place. We also purchased Apple Cider Donuts and The Smashed Apple Pie.

NO APPLES - The image shows an orchard with rows of green trees and grass, set against a backdrop of distant trees with autumn foliage. The sky is bright blue with a large, elongated cloud formation. The scene appears to be taken during daytime in a rural area, with no visible structures or people.

DO NOT GO HERE. We drove an hour to get here, paid the ridiculous $5 per person to get in. Paid $1 for just a tiny bag (afterwards it would cost $18 for the apples, unless you get a slightly larger bag for $2 and then pay $25 for the apples), only to walk around for half an hour all over their orchard and find absolutely NO APPLES! Ridiculous. The only apples we saw would be tiny tiny ones once in a while or apples on the ground. Or rotten apples. Look at my pictures, no apples. We were so disappointed and upset, why would you not tell people you have no apples left?! Why make me drive all the way there and pay just to walk around for nothing? So I walked back up to the stand and told them they have no apples and I want my money back for the bag (it was purely out of principle at this point). The girl at the stand got so nasty and loud, it was shocking. She barked at me asking if we went everywhere because she supposedly just went before and got two bags of apples. Umm as we stood there, we kept seeing people walk out empty handed. I was the only one that actually complained at this point. So this girl is basically yelling at me so she got called a name and I walked away and left the crappy tiny plastic bag. As I was walking away, she actually screamed at the top of her lungs at me that she was going to give me my $1 back but now I can just leave. Literally as I am leaving anyway. She made such an insane scene, everyone was staring and there were kids there. Unbelievable. This is not how you treat customers. Should've just apologized and given me my dollar back instead of lying about everything. And it didn't end there. We were going to leave completely but we had driven all that way and they did have such a nice view of fall foliage and a lake, plus after being ridiculously yelled at, I needed a drink. So we walked to their distillery and I really wanted apple cider. Come to find out they are out of apple cider. Well not surprising since they have no apples to make it from. They had like 3 or 4 beers to choose from, all of which sounded disgusting. We chose two. It cost $20 for two SMALL pours in plastic cups. The beer was nasty and WARM. So now that's over $20 plus tip, $10 just to get in, and $1 for a bag for apples that were nowhere to be found. We drank our beer, at least enjoyed the view for a bit and as we were leaving, we heard so many complain about the same things, someone even called it a complete disaster. And people were complaining about being yelled at for parking at the winery and walking over. Oh and to make matters worse, they don't let you use the bathroom inside the distillery. They make you use their disgusting porta potties. There were only 5 of them, filthy and no toilet paper with very long lines, making everyone very frustrated. How dare you have a distillery where people are drinking and not let people use a normal bathroom? And if you're going to force people to use porta potties, you could at least have more of them and keep them stocked with toilet paper. Wow. Just wow. Trust mine and other people's reviews and just stay far far away from this horrible place, because you're basically paying to get yelled at and to have your day off ruined completely. Terrible people. I'll be sure to spread the word to everyone. Don't think you'll be staying in business much longer judging by all the negative reviews and how you're treating people. Absolutely appalling. Apple Dave's? More like No Apple Dave's.

It was nice when there was no separation between the 2 places. Now you can only do one or the other. You cant bring food downstairs and have beer since the buiesness downstairs has food or you cant bring beer upstairs becaue this dont have Beer. They also destroyed a beautiful peace of landscaping for a parking lot between the 2 buiesness. I think the beauty is gone and $34 for 2 little bags of apples is also a high price to pay. We will not comeback is way to anyoing. Luckily the area has to offer a lot more places for apples, wine, beer, and food...

a welcome sign - A rectangular outdoor sign with the text 'Welcome Friends to Apple Dave's' is mounted on wooden posts. The sign features a green background with white lettering and two apple illustrations on either side. The background shows a blue sky with scattered clouds, trees, and some structures, indicating a rural or farm setting associated with Apple Dave's orchard and farm activities.

This was an AWESOME school field trip. We didn't get to check out the restaurant but for a very reasonable cost, we got a tractor ride, bags of apples, and a ton of memories. Go on a weekday to avoid the heavy city traffic!

Lots of apples to pick.

Apple Dave's Orchards is a beautiful place. My family and friends wanted to go for a nice Saturday outing. The ride from NYC wasn't a bad one, but we knew we were close when there was a line of cars waiting to get into the parking lot. Lucky for us we got there at 2:00 and as we were pulling into the driveway for the orchards we saw a worker walk past and he started turning cars away. The parking lot was packed but I found a spot fairly easy. Our initial motivation was to go apple picking but we were thrown off by the smell of the apple cider donuts. We waited in a line as soon as we got there, glad we did because when we turned around the line had doubled in size. But thankfully it moved quick. Get a donut, I really don't like apples but the donut was fresh and delicious. We walked around the trails, the kids rolled down the hills and had a blast. They played near the lake and took tons of pictures. The adults bought apple wine, they had a nice selection. After we did everything else we hopped on the tractor and went apple picking. The apples were delicious, so much better than the supermarket. I'm never buying another supermarket apple, only a farmers market for me. Like I said I don't like apples. The winner for me was my kids were exhausted for the ride home and passed out when we got back to the city. The only downfall for me was the Port O Potty, my kids refused to use them. So use the bathroom before you leave. We plan on going back next year.

I did also try the green valley farms labeled black cherry soda - that was probably the only 3/4 star experience for me, but would be perfect for someone who likes the flavor of black cherry soda without the carbonation of a brand like Stewart's.

There wasnt any pumpkin left in the field to pick and the apples were not event there on the trees. I would definitely have to say hand down to the cute little store - there was a bakery side and oh my gosh the donuts , the cookies and the Tik Tok famous drink was out of this world. So the 2 hour trip was definitely worth the drive. The service was okay the individuals behind the counter to order the Tik Tok drink had a bit of a attitude when I was asking about questions. Just stay patient. Other then that I would highly recommend coming here and trying a piece of all of there different donuts and cookies are soo soo good. They even had a pumpkin cider donut which I never had before. Don't forget to stop by and check them out.

It was fairly easy to find though going there, my map told me to go down a treacherous gravel road which I wasn't terribly fond of. They have a moderately sized parking lot and you'll see this large, red barn. That's where you get your goodies (there's often a line) and where their store is. We stopped by for a treat first. They sell ice cream, cider floats, and what is a "TikTok famous" coffee float with donut. We got: Cider ($4) - I didn't actually drink this. I got it for my kid with food allergies. He wanted ice cream but they do not know if the ice cream they use contains eggs or not so we played it safe. My kid thought it was okay but finally finished it later. He typically prefers regular apple juice. Cider float with donut - you have a choice of no donut for $2 less. It's like a root beer float but with cider instead of root beer, black and orange sprinkles around the time of the cup, whipped cream, and a powdered cider donut over it all. I shared this with my daughter. That donut was delicious! Warm, tender, and crisp on the outside. The drink was great! I do wish it came with a spoon because it got difficult finishing the last of it. Warning: if you have one of these, the bees are coming for you. They use some sort of caramel-like sauce to get the sprinkles to stick. Overall, quite good. Maple cider donut ($3): my sister got this and she said it was amazing, but she said she thought $3 was a bit much (the unglazed donuts are $1.25 each). She's vegan, so didn't partake in the float, but she also wasn't going to ask if there's milk in the donut. If you're getting only donuts, they are purchased in the store. They have tables and chairs nearby for you to picnic and enjoy your treats. Going through the gates, there was a table but they were busy with other people so we walked right in. There is no entrance fee, which was nice. You go through the apple orchard first. It seems like most of the apples have been picked through, though there are a lot of developing apples. Some of the nicer ones were way too tall for us; they don't provide ladders. We only managed to find one that looked nice. At the end, there used to be a sunflower field and the corn maze. It's epic but you don't know how formidable until you're past the point of return and realize it's not a kids maze. We were in there for a while! Even met other kids that thought they'd be lost forever. The corn stalks are taller than a human and they're pretty dense so you can't look over or through them. It's a true maze and I was impressed. I wish they would provide a paper maze puzzle of the corn maze because I'm so curious how it is from above. Lots of dead ends. What I can say is don't lose hope. You'll get there! (When we finally found the exit, it was almost like a dream because we had been staring at corn for so long.) In hindsight, it was good we ate something first. Once done, we explored the sunflowers and saw the pumpkin patch. As we headed out, we went to pay for our lone apple and we discovered THE CORN MAZE IS NOT FREE. It's $10 per adult and $5 per kid. They charged us $1 for the single apple. I guess they work on the honor system? I didn't mind much because that maze clearly took planning. Before we left, we visited the store full of baked goodies. I got a few cider donuts, a dumpling, and a piece of crumb cake because they just brought out a fresh tray. Plus a lattice harvest pie. The pies with crumble aren't vegan, but the lattice pies are made of vegetable shortening. Restrooms! They have a row of port-a-potties by the parking lot. They're actually the cleanest ones I've been to before. No sinks but they do have a dispenser of antibacterial hand gel. The openings are a bit large so if your kid needs to use the toilets, hold onto them. Overall, it was quite enjoyable and I definitely think everyone should go through a corn maze of this caliber at least once in their life. The apple pickings were sparse but at least you get delicious floats and donuts! Note: they have gluten free goodies in the store but they are nut based (almond flour). They also had one gluten free-vegan item.

We went here on a random Wednesday afternoon so we basically had the orchard to ourselves. The first parking lot you see is for their store, you have to keep driving up for the u-pick orchard. There you check in to pay your admission fee, get your wristband, and get your apple picking bag(s). They give you a map where the ripe apples are highlighted for you. My favorite apples were the honeycrisp and snap dragons. They grow vegetables too but honestly we didn't explore the orchard that much (it was huge) so the only other thing I picked besides apples was a tomato, which I felt like was pretty difficult to find a good one. I handed out the apples to other friends and colleagues and they all liked them! There's something different about picking the apple straight off the tree than the apples you would normally just buy at a grocery store. It's a lot crispier when you pick them yourself! The store has apple cider doughnuts! Now being that I am a Californian where we don't have this apple picking culture, I was wondering what all the hype around apple cider doughnuts was about. NOW I GET IT they're so good! Unfortunately since we went on a weekday the doughnuts weren't fresh (they make them fresh on the weekends) so some of them were stale, but most were still good. It's honestly more of a cake than a doughnut, but so good! The doughnuts are self serve towards the back. The store also had a cat on the prowl haha We ended up not even having time to visit the petting zoo, but overall I think my colleagues had a good time here and I would recommend this orchard for anyone trying to have a no frills apple picking experience. I believe there was like a building restroom closer to the store and port o potties closer to the u-pick orchard.

I wish I had a way to bring the Amish butter home since a family member has it in their home I often have it with bread in the morning. The staff were friendly, and everything was well-organized. Heads up It's a bit busy during peak times, but that's to be expected at a popular place.
