If you ever wanted to wander amongst a pack of friendly Alpacas. You can enjoy feeding the Alpacas and Lamas. Staff is helpful and informative. Don't forget to wander down to see the peacocks, ducks and miniature goats. The bunnies are fun and I'm a big fan of lop-eared rabbits. It is a nice way to spend an hour or two with some friendly beasts.

Buck Brook Alpacas is a must visit! I've been wanting to visit an Alpaca farm and Buck Brook was a wonderful experience. Me and my fiancé booked the Alpaca walks for $20/person on their website. It was 6 people per time slot (30 minutes) with a guide. The alpacas were all so friendly and show no aggression. Our appointment slot was 30 minutes and we went straight to walking the alpacas once the whole group checked in. We learned so much about these adorable animal and the farm. It's funny how every little pause the alpacas will go straight to eating fresh grass. After the walk, we were provided apples to feed the other alpacas. They have free range chickens roaming around the farm and they have one fluffy bunny. Their store also have a lot of alpacas fur products. I would definitely come back in the near future!

Buck Brooks Alpacas was the most fun experience of our Catskills trip, and my girlfriend and I can't stop talking about our memories there. It's a nice, out of the way farm with a gift shop on site and no shortage of Alpacas, Llamas, Bunnies, and Chickens. We were greeted by some great owners and operators of the place, and since we were a bit early, we chatted with one of the handlers, who gave us a nice private touring, let us feed the animals, and hangout with them before our walk. The alpacas are friendly and fun, plenty of pictures and memories to be had, we still miss Plush and Velvetina to this day. We got a great deal of gifts from the shop for memories, and hope that they succeed with future business! We love Buck Brooks Alpacas!!

A great 30 min tour that gives you a nice lesson on alpacas. Plenty of opportunities to feed and interact with them; feeding apples, brushing their hair, petting. There are also bunnies and barn cats and a friendly potbellied pig. Nice activity if you are in the area.

Farm is located in a pretty scenic farm surrounded by trees. The cats on the farm are very friendly especially the black one. It almost was ready to come home with me. The owner is very nice and explains everything you need to know about alpacas

There's a blue-eyed alpaca in upstate New York that I'm just smitten over! His name is Blue (for his rare blue eyes of course) and he lives with his furry friends at Buck Brook Alpacas Farm in Roscoe, NY, about two hours drive from the city (if you live in the UWS). I've been visiting quite a few alpaca farms over the last two years. These fluffy floofy camel-cousin animals have captured my heart. All of the farms I've visited have been amazing experiences, but Buck Brook Alpacas is the only one that had baby alpacas (called cria) that you could see close up, like right up to the farm fence. We drove upstate early one weekend to introduce friends to the wonderful relaxation of alpaca farms. After two hours driving of course we had to pee as soon as we got out of the car. Note: Every alpaca farm only has outhouses or porta potties. It's not civilization as we cityfolk know it. Bring Kleenex and anti-bacterial hand wipes. Liquid soap and bottled water to wash your hands too. But after taking care of business, the day at the farm was fabulous. Loved the gift shop! The farm sells t-shirts and sweatshirts with the cutest alpaca illustration. This farm also has an Airbnb that you can book and sleep a family of 6(?) upstairs in the barn. Got a chuckle reading the Airbnb reviews that talk about hearing the alpaca run around the barn at night. That's my next must-do experience here at Buck Brook Alpacas so I see Blue the blue-eyed alpaca again and have him nibble apple pieces out of my hand!

Anything animal related and I'm there. Alpacas are cool but granted they are kinda boring. I think this place does special tours but otherwise it's open for you to roam a bit which is what we did. There's a shop w items made from real alpaca yarn/fur/hair idk what you call it. Heads up tho, nothing in there is cheap. We met a black cat named Sandy I think and that was my fav part. My sister almost took it back with us but we decided against it. Cool spot to check out tho and kill 20 mins

Fun, quick stop for animal and/or fiber lovers if you're in the area- It's a beautiful property with lots of happy, healthy alpacas, and there are friendly staff members on site to provide information. (For anyone who is not familiar, Alpacas are pretty much a cross between a llama and a Muppet.) You can wander around freely (always safely separated from the animals by a fence) and pet and feed them. Be sure to bring quarters for the feed dispensers, because the alpacas are about 1000% times more interested in food than petting. The shop sells alpaca yarn, sweaters, accessories, etc., some sourced from the local alpacas, some not.

As I have been to two other similar farms, I thought I knew what to expect. This farm experience was completely different than any I had ever experienced previously. They didn't seem to be trained to walk along with strangers, namely people they were not familiar with. I was especially disappointed as I had booked a private as opposed to a group hike. Unfortunately, as soon as we pulled into the parking lot it began to POUR rain. We waited it out in the car for a while, like 20 minutes, but it didn't seem to be stopping, so we attempted to leave, but because so many other people were leaving traffic came to a standstill and it took us 10 minutes just to get to the end of the parking row -- which was kind of a blessing because the sun came out more and we decided to stay and chance it. There seems to be only one entrance and like 1-2 exits which kind of seems like a safety concern. Admission is a bit pricey - about $23 per person on the weekends if you don't buy online. I guess it's a good price if you enjoy mostly everything, but for that you'll need time. We grabbed a snack. There are a lot of food places - BBQ, grilled cheese, pizza etc. I actually thought the prices were pretty decent and the food was high quality for the price. We split a gourmet grilled cheese which was melty and tasty, and got a honey lavender cider which was absolutely delightful. We did the wagon ride out to the tulip fields. You can pay to pick your own but we just admired them. There are a lot of colors and different varieties, and cute photo ops all around. There was a scenic train ride that went through the fields. There were also a bunch of carnival rides, which we didn't go on. I read that there was axe throwing but we missed that. There was live music in the food area as well. They have some other fun things like giant bubble blowing stations, lots of snack stops, a retail space with gourmet goodies. Our second big thing was going to the petting barn, psyched about the "baby animal" experience. This consists of baby chicks and ducks. If you want to get up close and hold them you have to wait in a long line - we were waiting like half an hour to hold a duck for like 30 seconds. It was very cute and wholesome but honestly I wouldn't do that again. The chicks were unfortunately too young so we could only pet them, not hold them. It was a little underwhelming and I've seen other farms do baby animal days with much more variety. There were some other animals (that you could get up close to more immediately) like pigs, alpacas, goats, and highland cows -- some of which had cute babies. I don't think anything besides the flowers was open for u-pick, but I believe you have to pay extra for that anyway? This place is huge and very popular but I did get the sense that for the amount of people it draws, there are limited things to do. Granted, it was a holiday and a weekend, so I'm sure that contributed to the crowds. But also a TON of people left during the rain storm and we still were waiting in some pretty long lines so I can't even imagine how it would be if it was sunny. Overall this place is cute and I think everything is top quality, but ultimately I think it caters more towards families who have time and money to kill. It's probably a good deal if you live close and get a seasonal pass and come multiple times a year for all the different festivals- I do like that they have different things going on at all times. I wouldn't turn anyone away if that was their thing and I'd recommend it to a certain type of person -- but this is probably a once and done or once in a blue moon type place for me.

My husband took me as a birthday present last year, and it was so good that we had to go back again and I felt compelled to shared why. She used to be a yoga teacher in NYC and, in addition to goat yoga, she is currently practicing as a wellness healer licensed in acupuncture and other holistic healing medicines. For that reason, she comes from a place of true genuine care and has such a great vibe. She has such a calming presence and she makes sure that everyone was comfortable and had ample goat experience. The goat yoga class itself PHENOMENAL. The goats were incredibly playful and affectionate, and it was so relaxing to do yoga while surrounded by them. Having them around while practicing yoga truly brings out your inner child :) After the yoga class, I took a farm tour with Victoria and her husband, where I learned all about the baby yoga goats as well as their mothers! The goat mothers were so sweet I couldnt tell you if the babies or mothers were cuter! We also met her adorable chickens and saw them laying eggs!
