End of season beauty - A person is holding a large, irregularly shaped carrot with a thick top and tapered bottom, positioned in front of a microwave oven on a black countertop. The carrot's surface shows natural ridges and color variations, and the person's hand is partially visible, gripping the carrot near the top. The background includes a microwave with control buttons and a metallic finish, along with other kitchen items.

Absolutely love this place. I want all winter log and am never disappointed. Every produce is delicious and fresh and worth every visit. The end of this season is even more rewarding look at the delicious carrot

This orchard was located about 20 minutes away from the Woodbury Outlets, so we decided to make the stop on our way there. We were craving apple cider and apple cider donuts, so we were happy to see positive reviews. Upon arriving, we were very underwhelmed - the parking lot was very disorganized and did not have a very clear indication of where was fair game to park. After we settled in, we walked inside the barn to see their offerings, which was very limited since it was towards the end of their day. They had a selection of apples, pears, and vegetables for purchase. We picked up 4 donuts (65 cents each) and a half gallon of apple cider. The staff wasn't the friendliest - a group of young girls came in to ask when they're next batch of donuts where coming out and she just said "they're not".. not the best impression. Overall, donuts were good, but not great. Cider was cold and not overly sweet. Don't think we will be back again, but a nice pit stop on our drive to shop.

Family run business. Good quality produce. Delicious honey, beautiful flowers and the best homemade apple pie! I alway order the Apple pie for Thanksgiving!

Open for the season as of 7/20/17. This place is the real deal. They only serve what they grow or bake. Preserves not so. In season they are a go-to farm for peaches, berries, corn and apples. Greens are not a major crop. If you are in the Chester area, definitely stop by.

Best apple cider in the world!!! They have many varieties of apples, pears, peaches and fresh local produce. My family and friends love their home made honey and jam. Hats off to New York's oldest family run orchard.

Fresh produce. Shop local. Their love of farming shows. Been coming here since I was five.

I believe there were…read moreothers close to this one, but we went with Ochs because of the low admission fee ($5 per person) and petting zoo. It was an hour and a half drive from upper Manhattan. We went here on a random Wednesday afternoon so we basically had the orchard to ourselves. The first parking lot you see is for their store, you have to keep driving up for the u-pick orchard. There you check in to pay your admission fee, get your wristband, and get your apple picking bag(s). They give you a map where the ripe apples are highlighted for you. My favorite apples were the honeycrisp and snap dragons. They grow vegetables too but honestly we didn't explore the orchard that much (it was huge) so the only other thing I picked besides apples was a tomato, which I felt like was pretty difficult to find a good one. I handed out the apples to other friends and colleagues and they all liked them! There's something different about picking the apple straight off the tree than the apples you would normally just buy at a grocery store. It's a lot crispier when you pick them yourself! The store has apple cider doughnuts! Now being that I am a Californian where we don't have this apple picking culture, I was wondering what all the hype around apple cider doughnuts was about. NOW I GET IT they're so good! Unfortunately since we went on a weekday the doughnuts weren't fresh (they make them fresh on the weekends) so some of them were stale, but most were still good. It's honestly more of a cake than a doughnut, but so good! The doughnuts are self serve towards the back. The store also had a cat on the prowl haha We ended up not even having time to visit the petting zoo, but overall I think my colleagues had a good time here and I would recommend this orchard for anyone trying to have a no frills apple picking experience. I believe there was like a building restroom closer to the store and port o potties closer to the u-pick orchard.

The apple cider donuts are a must-try! We came on a winter day few days after Christmas and they had free samples of apple cider. I got some tea and honey to bring back home to FL. I also bought some apples and they were so soft inside and juicy. Unlike any other apple I've had. I wish I had a way to bring the Amish butter home since a family member has it in their home I often have it with bread in the morning. The staff were friendly, and everything was well-organized. Heads up It's a bit busy during peak times, but that's to be expected at a popular place. But when we came on a Saturday they were practically empty and lady made a joke not to come on the weekends so I assume normally it's a busy day or they dedicate it to stocking up since when we came I saw about 3 of the staff unboxing stuff. Overall, a really enjoyable experience with a charming atmosphere. I'll definitely be coming back next season!

Most of these are included in the price of admission except for the pony rides, apple cannon, and pumpkin picking. If you're lucky and timely, you'll also catch the candy cannon blast, which the children eagerly await and sprint toward the candy sprayed across the field! They sell apple cider donuts, beer, and some basic food. A nice feature is that there are proper bathrooms and sinks to wash up in here, in addition to the porta potties which is all that most farms have. There is plenty of parking, and no reservation or advance admission is required, though you can secure your ticket in advance online if you wish.

I don't know that Wright is a Maze ing, but it was sure a trip for the two of us. We stopped on by…read morebecause the "sunflower maze" from last time was not a maze at all, and we knew Wright is an actual maze each year. With the entry fee paid, we decided to enjoy as much of the farm as we could. We looked at the petting zoo (not much to do, the goats were being happily fed already), the race course (all kids' vehicles, sadly), the apple cannon (extra fee, more fun to watch than to shoot we thought)... So you get the idea, adults maybe are more limited to the maze and the local products for sale in the payment area. So the maze: Like others have said, it's gotten overgrown. Unlike the top places (Cherry Crest in PA), Wright does not clear all the maze paths. It's not just hard to tell whether a path is a dead end or not, or whether it's actually a path or just a cut through some broken stalks; it's hard to just walk some of the paths due to the wet overgrown grass and weeds. Looking beyond path condition, there are two mazes (or at least were in 2025), an easier A and a harder B maze. The B maze was bigger but we were done in 10 minutes, and only had 3 clues to follow if we wanted to. (The solvable clues are "What is the answer to this question? A. Turn left. B. Turn right. C. Turn left." So even without knowing the anwer, just pick the choice that is different.) Jeez, the A maze must be super easy. Nope. We got hopelessly lost there. The one hint we needed to get ourselves found had 4 clues, two Turn Lefts and two Turn Rights. Without knowing the answer (what percent of... something), we kept finding ourselves back at this sign. The path conditions did not help us navigate, and unlike Cherry Crest, you don't get a maze puzzle to put together and help you get out, so you can actually get yourself very lost in there. Fortunately, we eventually found ourselves skipping ahead from Clue 2 to Clue 4, and made our way out a solid 45 sunburned minutes later. Fun story, right? So then we said, let's go catch a hayride while we're here. We were the only ones on, it took us up barely past the maze and then turned around. That was it, the pumpkin patch was just past the maze after all that. So I let my lady down... to incredible rudeness from the driver because we undid the latch and the stairs ourselves instead of waiting for him. I admit I should not have done that, but he should have been a TINY bit nicer about it. Verdict: Pumpkin patch yes. Kid stuff yes. Maze no. Service no. Nice little local collection of goods in the entryway. I will quote another review I see from another Elite: "This farm is nothing spectacular." But it's good enough to bring the kids for a half day out.

Strawberry Jelly is a must but then we went a little nutzo with a few more jam flavors as well as homemade apple sauces, fresh cheeses and pickles! Sunday, its check out time and we're heading back to Long Island after breakfast. My wife said we need to go shopping for dinner today. I said, Let's go back to Wright's Farm and pick up dinner? And this was the highlight of our trip. In the cold cases, I see homemade ravioli, one of the stuffings was corn? I had plans to stop in The Bronx and get a few boxes of Raviolis. I gambled and said lets try their corn ravioli. O.M.G. This ravioli was fantastic! My wife made it with fresh sage from our herb garden. It was a little pricey but it was better than anything I had this year. For the week, we bought a large ham steak and a ham hock for pea soup. I saw something interesting, a black futsu squash? I told my wife, lets buy one and take a chance. Amazing! My wife cooked this squash and it came out deelish. Dessert? My sons inhaled the apple cider doughnuts we bought home for them.
