I used to frequent this place often before covid, after covid I don't know if management changed hands or what but the customer serivce is a hit or miss depending on which day you go. Some of the workers are prejudiced and rude which is surprising especially with what's going on in the country today. This market place was nice and clean. The fruit and vegetables were fresh. It's seems that this is the spot people go to if you're looking for good sushi and fresh fish. They also have fresh real fruit juices available to order they are about 5-10$. You can also make your own and customize it to your liking. Monroe Farm offers a nice selection of seafood, a smallish selection of Japanese products along with take out sushi and maki. Their produce selection offers some items not available in big box stores as well in their grocery selections. Well some produce is more cost efficient then shoprite stop and shop for sure.but..when I bought garlic, avocados, oranges or any fruits they don't last as long. The garlic all of them very kind is not firm their sponges and I end up not buying them anymore there.lemon grass old.dried out. The juice .. I've seen them throw in the fruits in the fridge part with bare hands. Ok so in food service code anything not cooked has to be handled with gloves. Each time I got a juice I had to be close to the bathroom. So fish.. ok but prices for everything there packaged sky high.spices I buy there. bokchoy is ok. anymore prices went up produce not so fresh. read more

I frequent Monroe Farm often for fresh fruit, vegetables, fresh made sushi & sashimi plus the greatest array of oriental side dishes and snacks. Definitely a terrific addition to that part of Orange County, fast service, easy in and out parking, extremely cordial assistance from everyone working there and the bonus is the marvelous prices and kindness from Mgr. Great local market with terrific produce and nice quality fish. The frozen Asian selections are great such as dumplings & ramen. Great prices on produce, some of the Asian stuff is a little pricey but hard to get locally so I don't mind. read more

This place by far has the highest quality produce in town!!! This place has a variety of fruit selection to include sugar plum, parsimony and those are not always available in any Asian supermarket. The quality is also top notch, comparable to H mart and the best part is the reasonable price! . Will definitely come back. read more

If you're feeling Asian, come into Monroe Farm for a bottle of ramune and a platter of fake crab egg pancakes. The food here is only so-so but it is the only grocer in the area with organic food and a fresh seafood section. We used to come here for live Maryland blue crabs but they're only available every so often. Thus, if you don't mind over paying a little head to Monroe Farms! read more

Incredible specially supermarket of sorts with a fresh juice bar and fresh sushi/sashimi products.

I used to buy sushi and produce here often but times have changed here. Lately they do not have much of a selection of sushi out for a quick grab and go. Today I decided to order off of the menu (because not one sushi tray was left) and watched 3 customers walk in, to the empty sushi cooler, and then leave. I ordered 6 pieces of sashimi and paid $28 which is mind blowing. Everybody knows sushi is expensive but $28 for a snack is not worth it. No longer a customer. read more

I've been here several times to purchase groceries and prepared food. The fish is delivered daily and you can tell the difference. Store is clean while the produce is fresh. Great selection of produce and good selection of specialty/organic products. I love picking up fresh sushi in the summer when it's too hot to cook! I work in the city a lot and have had sushi many places and theirs rivals the city places. The chef once specially made me a tuna/apple appetizer that I have ordered again and again! I love to shop here. Lots of produce with great prices. They also have a lot of organic and gourmet foods. A good Asian section too. The fish is good. The sushi is excellent. In a pinch this store was good for a freshly prepared sushi event. The quality of the fish was outstanding. Probably the best salmon in the area aside from Sally's in Newburgh. Their fresh vegetables were not impressive at all. The man at the seafood counter was very friendly and helpful, however the owners are very short with the customers and often causes me to go out of my way to spend money elsewhere. read more
