I had an appointment on a busy Sunday around 2 pm, and although there was a bit of a wait, it was understandable given how crowded the store was. I think my experience went smoothly because I scheduled an appointment ahead of time, as I heard drop-ins were being quoted around a 2 hour wait. Once I spoke with someone, the service was fast and they provided a lot of reassurance about my phone issue. I returned the next day to drop off my phone, and when I picked it up, everything was fixed and working perfectly. Although the store was extremely busy, there was always an employee available to answer questions or help you at any point. Overall, the staff was attentive, reassuring, and efficient. Biggest advice would be to try to schedule an appointment ahead of time to save you some time to wait. But even if you do have to wait, you can find something to do at the mall. read more

We first went to T-Mobile to purchase an iPhone, but were told it could only be done through monthly installment payments. That didn't work for us, since my boyfriend's mom wanted to buy her phone outright without financing. Granted, he said she could pay it off after the first month through the her T-mobile app but something seemed off with that idea. We ended up going to the Apple Store in Cerritos mall even though I detest going to the mall. It was crowded but luckily, the line to buy a new phone was empty. I waited about 5 minutes or so and Malik assisted us. He was patient and easy to talk to, we even talked about sports as the NBA playoffs (Lakers vs Rockets) were on. He even joked that he might not be able to help us since I'm a Celtics fan- hehehehehe! Similarly, he took time to answer all of our questions, including the ones we had about T-Mobile, which helped confirm that buying the phone outright was an option. She was able to purchase her iPhone, got a screen protector that Malik applied perfectly, and he also helped transfer all of her data to the new phone, which made the whole process easy for her in under a hour. I visited the Apple Store at Cerritos Mall today due to ongoing battery issues with my phone. I arrived at 11:00 a.m. and was told by an employee named Bailey that my wait would be about an hour. What I was not told is that I was considered a walk-in, and that customers with appointments would continually be prioritized ahead of me. After an hour passed, I asked where I was on the list and was told I would be seen at 12:50 p.m. Later, my time was pushed back again to around 1:10-1:20 p.m. I felt forced to stay inside the store the entire time because I was concerned I would miss my name being called and lose my place. Around 12:30 p.m., another representative finally checked me in. Within 10 minutes, I was connected with a technician. I explained that I needed a battery replacement. He completed the paperwork, had me sign everything, and told me, "You're in luck--your phone will be ready at 2:40." I returned a few minutes early, around 2:30-2:40 p.m., only to be told that they could not replace the battery because the screws were rusted, and that I would need to buy a new phone instead. At no point during the nearly three hours I was in the store did anyone proactively check on me. I had to repeatedly ask for updates. The lack of communication was frustrating and exhausting. Employees appeared overwhelmed, disorganized, and reactive rather than attentive. Had I been clearly told from the beginning that walk-ins are continually pushed back behind appointments, I could have made an informed decision about my time. Instead, my entire afternoon was wasted. This was, without question, the worst customer service experience I've had at an Apple Store. Disgusting store in every aspect regarding service. We waited 3 hours last night and a Technician told us they'd be able to fix our cracked phone screen the same day. When they called us and we came, they said they're about to close so let us make an appointment for you the next day. You mean, the appointment we could have made and not waste 3 hours with your empty words? Then we came back the next day (still waiting mind you) and there are at least 11 visible employees out in the store with 5 gossiping with each other. In the past, I have always upgraded my iPhone through my wireless carrier. My current iPhone 11 Pro Max is so old, it wasn't worth a trade-in credit, so I decided to just buy the new iPhone 17 Pro directly from Apple this time. Every time I have walked by an Apple store in a mall, it always seems like complete chaos inside, often with a line outside to even get inside the store. I decided to take my chances and purchase the new phone via the Apple Store app. The process was very straightforward. After configuring a new phone and locating a local store that has it in stock, you pick a date and a 15 minute pickup window. I ordered my new phone on a Saturday afternoon, and scheduled my pickup for the following day. After you purchase the phone through the app, the local store will hold it for you for a week. I arrived at the Los Cerritos mall Apple store around 1pm on a Sunday afternoon. There was no line to get inside the store, but it was extremely busy inside. They have a person stationed at the entrance, who asks what you need and directs you were to go. I told him I was there to pick up a new phone, and he directed me to the order pickup table towards the back of the store. I only had to wait a few minutes and a gentleman scanned the order receipt QR code on from my phone and said to hang out for a bit. Less than five minutes later, he returned with my new iPhone box and he handed me over to Nataly to finalize everything. She was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable, as I asked her several questions while she was finalizing my pickup. I told her I also wanted to purchase a screen protector and 45 watt charger block which only took a few extra minutes. She also installed the screen protector for me. As packed as the store was inside, there were many Apple employees visible and engaged with customers. They all seemed energetic and unfrazzled by the chaos. My whole time in the store from entry to walking out with my new phone, screen protector installed, and charging block was no more than 15 to 20 minutes. I had a very positive experience, and would definitely recommend this method of purchasing a new device. read more

Apple Los Cerritos left me phoneless, unable to contact her, and held my phone hostage after THEIR tech destroyed it. Day 1: 5 Hours of your Time Means Nothing 1:30 PM: I bring in my iPhone -- Apple's update turned the screen half black, half white. "Come back in 2 hours." 3:40 PM: I'm back. You let me sit until 5:25 PM. Andre: "Easy fix. Come back tomorrow."since it already close to 7PM - closing time Day 2: The Lie, The Hostage, The Health Hazard 1100 AM: Kyle delivers the insult: "Can't fix it. Screws are dirty." That is a lie. I you can observe they strip those screws. You damaged my device even more in which they could not fix the $0 cost of my insurance so I was forced on buying a new phone, then blamed me to dodge accountability and force a sale. Then it got dangerous. I disclosed to Kyle: I'm a three-stroke survivor. High stress can literally kill me. I'm on emergency on-call for work. My wife is 2nd trimester and high-risk. I did not have the funds to buy a new phone on the spot because of not being able to access my phone and transfer the funds needed, I was told to leave, they will hold the new phone for 5 days. I was now phoneless. I could not contact my wife. I could not be reached for work. I could not call 911 if I had another stroke in your store. I begged: "Can I borrow a loaner so I can at least reach my wife and my doctor?" Kyle: "No. We'll hold your phone for 5 days." You chose to HOLD a PHONE HOSTAGE instead of helping a disabled customer in medical distress contact his pregnant wife. Then your staff told me to leave while I was having an stress-induced episode trying to figure out how to keep my family safe with no way to communicate. "The screws were a little dirty." That's the excuse you used to justify creating a life-threatening situation for a stroke survivor and his high-risk pregnant wife. The damage: hours stolen across 2 days. Medical negligence: You knowingly escalated stress for a stroke survivor and isolated him from emergency contacts. ADA violation: Refused reasonable accommodation for disability. No loaner, no help, just "leave." Predatory behavior: Broke my phone, blamed me, tried to extort me for a new one. You didn't just provide bad service. You created a medical liability. If I'd had a 4th stroke in your lobby while waiting for the phone YOU broke, that's on you. I thought I broke my glass screen because it was uneven on the bottom and scratched me every time I used it because I had dropped it before. There wasn't much of a wait for an associate, considering that this is an Apple store. The man waiting on us, took off my phone case and peeled off the screen protector. The glass under it was perfectly OK, so I just needed a new screen protector. I was very happy that it was taken care of so fast and wasn't super expensive. I walked into the Apple Store this morning fully prepared for frustration. And then... Cedric happened. From the moment he greeted me, Cedric was warm, pleasant, and genuinely present. He didn't rush me off or pass me along to the next person. He sat with me, listened carefully as I explained the issues with my Apple Watch, did a simple and clear diagnosis, and then calmly walked me through my options--paying and having it shipped to my home, or coming back to pick it up. No pressure. No confusion. Just clarity. What truly set Cedric apart was how he worked with me. While still being completely professional and focused, we talked about the gym, life here in California, and he even shared that he had broken his leg in a motorcycle accident. Somehow, he balanced real human connection while never missing a beat on the service side. That kind of multitasking--with care--is rare. He made the entire experience seamless and, dare I say, enjoyable. Because of Cedric, my opinion of the dreaded Genius Bar has officially changed. Came in Friday, as my phone was not getting service at all. I was without a phone for 4 days, but did not have time to go get it checked out. Arrived around 1020am, was told to come back at 1215. Perfect, I was able to run some errands before going out of town that day. April was so incredibly helpful and patient. She did everything she could to fix my phone. Once she did the master reset, my phone worked. Left the store only gone about 10 minutes and my phone stopped working. Returned to the store and thankfully did not have to wait long to be seen. Turned out it had a hardware issue. I'm so glad I had AppleCare as it was covered. Now I have a fully functioning phone again and I cannot thank the staff enough. read more

Went to this store for a gift for my wife. She wanted the new iPad as the one that she was using was 2nd generation and it was time. We were surprised at the store was not too busy because it was Presidents' Day . Like all Apple stores, this one is wide open air and clean . The Apple representative, his name, I believe, was Pedro was very very helpful. He explained the differences between iPad, Pro and iPad Air. He also recommended that we come back and sit in the training classes that they offer throughout the day . The good thing about this store it being the nearest one for many people in the area is that it's convenient. However, the BAD thing about its location is that it's a cluttered mess with the employees. It's difficult to determine who is doing what and who can assist you. Customers simply want to buy a simple charger, a case, and they have to wait over half an hour when you sign in then wait some more until you're called. Even just picking up a paid in full item at the store takes half an hour if you're lucky. I checked in with the Genius Bar after I picked up my paid in full online order/item to purchase a case and I was told it would take five minutes. I guess Apple time is 40 minutes. Corporate really needs to conduct a surprise audit of that store. read more

Last time I purchased my iPhone at the Brea Mall store, I was approached by an employee. But here, there was a bit of a line. I do appreciate that I was not rushed, even though they were about to close. I decided to go for the Ultra 2 (upgraded from the SE), and came in-store because they have all the models and watch bands out. Unfortunately, they didn't have the ocean one I wanted. The lady who went over everything with me told me that that specific customization wasn't currently available, even though it seemed to be in stock online. Apple is definitely the industry standard. It's clean, welcoming, warm, and everyone has a friendly demeanor. I like that they have the corner of tables where you can sit picnic-style and configure your devices. I think the only other products that would complete my Apple quadfecta are AirPods and a MacBook. Thank you to the Apple family/team! read more

Most of my electronics shopping is done online but I do appreciate having a local Apple Store when the occasional need arises to have product in hand without waiting (or paying) for shipping. Having an unexpected need for a new device immediately, I purchased an iPhone from the Apple Store on my lunch break for same day pick up. My appointment was 6:15-6:30 to give the fam some time to eat dinner before heading to the mall. Upon arrival, I headed to the pick up line, waited a minute, showed the employee my purchase barcode, then waited less than five minutes for them to bring my phone from the back room before we hit up Yogurtland for a cool treat on a hot day. Easy peasy. Maybe I was fortunate and it wasn't busy but the trip was pretty quick for me. The store did seem fairly full with folks checking out devices or just hanging around. YMMV if you need to actually talk with somebody or troubleshoot some issues. However, if you're like me and just need a grab some product, I highly recommend purchasing ahead of time for in-store pick up. read more

Manager named Cameron needs to removed from this store. 1st time was end of December when my son needed a new phone. We were in line and were asked by Cameron what we were there for. We said we need iphone 17 and was asked what payment method we were using. Based on my answer we were not seen right away since it will take longer and he sent the next in line ahead of us. Come to find out from the sales representative that the manager doesn't know so he basically pushed us for no reason. Was able to buy phone with no issues. Came today after nice lunch to get my daughter a new iphone. Everything was going fine until the verification of id. Mind u i just got my son iphone a week ago and explained to the sales that my name has changed due to marriage. The staff here were amazing today, my IPhone locked and wasn't functioning at all. I spent an hour on the phone with Apple support and they couldn't resolve my issue. They made an appointment with the Best Buy Geek Squad for a next day appointment. I work from home and use my phone for work so I needed an immediate resolution . I just decided to drive here in hopes a Tech Specialist could solve my IPhone issue and immediately did. A Rep escorted me over to a Tech Specialist wheee I explained my issue abc he immediately knew how to fix it. He simply made a voice command to Siri and the phone unlocked where I was then able to enter my passcode, problem solved within a minute. Chaotic is the best word to describe this store, and this was on a weekday, so have no interest in imagining how crazy it must be on a weekend. Had scheduled appointments on-line for iPhone repair, and even though some things went well, there were too many misses/negatives to recommend coming here to get your Apple products serviced. Having a working smart phone with decent battery life was on the top of my list while preparing for a long trip overseas. Thus I couldn't keep ignoring the 'service battery' warning on both mine and my wife's iPhone, and didn't want to risk changing it myself (like before). I scheduled two appointments on-line, back to back on a Monday afternoon (hoping less busy). It was easy to do, and email reminders told us how to prepare (have your icloud login/password ready, and backup your phone)...along with clarity on how much it would cost ($100 or so each), and that I needed to check-in at the Genius Bar. Backing up your phone on the cloud is no longer possible, because the free icloud storage is too small and Apple doesn't support other cloud providers. The difficulty of interconnectivity between Apple and Google is intentional, caused by business decisions, definitely not technological ones. Came to store 20 minutes early. There is no longer a Genius bar to check-in (update your email reminder, please!), and the employees are dressed like customers so really have to try to differentiate. Nobody is going to approach you, you have to grab someone. The problem is that everyone is busy, so being assertive is key. Found someone near the back. He checked on his ipad for appointment, and told me, "We don't check you in this early...please come back in 15 minutes". I came back in 15 minutes, and tried to find the same guy (in same area). He was being lectured by a supervisor, so I waited. Finally the supervisor just turned around and said "MAY I help you?". He then told me I needed to check-in at the front and TURNED HIS BACK on me. I then went confusedly to front, and then noticed there WAS an employee with a pad in the middle of the store, hiding in the crowd. I missed him before (so I felt a little stupid), but this time was able to check-in. He was OK...cheery, and I believe trying to be helpful. He told me to wait in the back (where a class was going on, so real noisy..it's just continuously loud in the store). About 5 minutes later, Nick came over and called out my wife's name. I was confused, because my appointment was first, but approached him to get started. He didn't realize that I had two appointments until later, but he adjusted to fit both in (though it took longer than necessary). He confirmed that I needed new batteries, and quoted me a time 90 minutes later to retrieve (very reasonable). I came back about 30 minutes after the quoted time (maybe two hours total), just to make sure I wouldn't have to wait. This time, I knew to try to find someone in front. Again, it was difficult to know which person to bother, since everyone was helping someone. But I got the attention of a young lady, who checked me in. Her attitude was nonchalant, and should have given me a clue this wasn't going to end well. She checked me in, and told me to walk to the back and wait. I got this feeling that I would be waiting a while, but didn't want to override what I was told. But after 15 minutes of waiting, I finally flagged someone down who was very kind. He guided me to a chair, and told me he would personally find out in the back what was going on. He came back, and told me someone would be with me soon. What pissed me off afterwards, was that the initial young lady who checked me in, saw me waiting, but didn't do ANYTHING to soothe my thought that I had gotten lost. That's just rude...she checked me in, she should have making sure that I was not lost in the shuffle (instead of telling herself, "I did my job...he's someone else's problem now"). About 5 minutes after that, another employee came out (with a trainee) and guided me through the rest of the process (payment, etc). He was 'meh', but at least got me through the process and took my payment, etc. He tried to upsell me on a new iphone (sigh), stating that I could get 200 back for my old phone...maybe should have done that BEFORE I spent $100 on a new battery. But I was chipper, cause I was almost done, and just smilingly told him 'No, thanks...next time". I'm not going to delude myself into thinking this visit will make me switch over to Android devices: We are too invested in Apple products and I know the other side isn't any better. But this Apple store causes so much sensory overload (like you are at a party alone). It definitely will make me do more research in repair alternatives, and will go to a different authorized dealer for any future repair needs. read more

Love my Apple accessories! I recently upgraded my phone to the iPhone 14 Max Pro and needed some accessories to protect my new device. Since I work a lot, I wasn't able to go into a store physically, but knew that I needed to get protection for my new phone right away. So, I placed an order online from the Cerritos Apple store, for delivery. My order came a few days after I ordered. I didn't pay for expedited shipping, just did the free standard shipping since I didn't need these right away. And they came within the delivery window. I loveeee my phone case! I got it for the color, to be honest. The dark purple is so pretty! It has the magsafe so I can charge my phone that way. And I also got the wallet that attaches to the phone case. Pretty handy when I want to lighten my load! I leave my purse behind and just bring my phone with Apple wallet. I got an Apple air tag and customized it on the website. It came out super cute! I love it. It tells me when I leave my keys behind. I plan on getting one for my luggage too! read more
