It wasn't too busy that we could have just walked in on a Tuesday late evening. We got seated right away. We saw lots of pick up to-go traffic while dining. We did the Prix Fixe meal. We both chose the samosa veggie and samosa Keema (lamb) to try each others but we both chose medium spiced chicken tikka marsala. OMG that was not medium spice but fire. I was sweating while trying to eat it. It was good with the Garlic naan bread. We choose the kheer for our dessert (rice pudding). The dessert was a little on the dry side and not enough liquid for me but I liked that it had actual pistachios in it. Service was as good. Why the three stars, I've had better Indian food for cheaper but I guess they treated like a little fancy restaurant. I just think these are more traditional Indian dishes that it doesn't have to be expensive but you can try it yourself and tell me what you think. [44R,2026]

Came back to get the order in 5 minutes or so. Got the South Indian thali meal (combo meal). Drawbacks were the Chapathi (roti) was heated to an inch of it's life. Meaning it was dry as a flat board. I had to use both arms to break it apart and it hurt to bite into. Whoever is warming up food in the back needs some guidance in this regard. Rest of the thali was decent enough. Payasum (dessert) looked sus. Avoided that completely. Coffee at the end was a scam. Don't think it was filter, definitely was instant as all I tasted was bitter milk regardless of adding copious amounts of sugar. Literally left a bad taste in my mouth. Stick to bread and butter items like dosa or tiffin foods here. Don't get the coffee as I was disappointed...

For our entrees we ended up on Lamb, and the staff recommended the Achar Gosht and the Kadai Gosht. Both were so good! Lamb was tender, it was overall super filling and paired well with the aloo paratha! I can't wait to eat my leftovers! Mughlai Grill is even better than I remember and I can't wait to come back! Challenge accepted. Never underestimate our ability to dine with executive efficiency. Practical intel: Friday walk-ins are possible but not guaranteed. Ask the host what's open and be ready to work with their timeline. Dinner for two with drinks ran about $180 before tip. The breakdown: - Pre-game: Sliced raw red onions with electric green mint-coriander chutney. Did we polish off every single sliver without hesitation? Absolutely, not our first rodeo with raw aromatics. - Drinks: Monsoon Wedding (Indian gin, lychee, curry leaf) was insanely good and fragrant. Followed with an Indian red wine, which was solid, though it competed a bit with the assertive spices. - Food: My partner was commander-in-chief of the ordering. The Kashmiri Gosht Chaamp (lamb chops) brought relentless, unapologetic heat, legitimately spiiicy but tender and packed with depth. The Dhaba Dal was a warm hug I didn't know I needed, swimming in sizzling tadka. Whole dried red chili in there, which I investigated personally. Earthy, savory, weirdly comforting. The Tawa Bhindi rounded things out with great crunch and tangy amchoor punch without feeling heavy. Paced the meal, savored every bite, and walked out a minute or two past 9:30. Nobody rushed us. Grateful they trusted us with the table at all. 10/10 execution, on both sides.

The lamb momos were delicious alone but use the spicy dip it comes with and the dish is a flavor bomb. Entrees were Tandoori chicken which comes with a huge bowl of rice. The chicken was fine by itself but put the yogurt sauce on it and it is like a totally different dish. So tasty and delicious. Lamb biryani...Plenty of lamb throughout this dish the spices and flavors blended well and were spot on with just that hint of heat to break a sweat. Garlic Naan... when you first bite into it you get a hint of garlic then you get a nice pop of garlic. They start you with a courtesy flat thin bread with 2 dips...very nice.
