    Chicken Tikka Masala $16

I took one star away because of the girl who took our order , with such a bad attitude and very unattentive The food was good, Tikka Masala was melted in my mouth. The chicken tikka over salad was grilled perfectly , very juicy .

It was good but now the chicken is like a rock! And not many pieces.. the sauce is too sweet. Just don't like it...

Fast service and tasty food! I highly recommend getting the mango lassi if you're up for a sweet drink. The chicken makhani and tikka had wonderful flavors, but the chicken in the makhani was way less tender than that in the tikka for some reason...

Stumbled by on Sunday evening ISO of dinner. Our group of 3 was seated immediately, and we were brought lentil crackers and chutney. We ordered the saag paneer, chicken makhani, chicken korma, and some plain naan. Staff was friendly and quick with our orders, and food came out equally as fast. Saag was good with nice portions of paneer. The curries themselves were good, quite tailored to American taste buds, but a bit lacking in the chicken department (about one piece per person). However, it was a reasonable price and we left with our tummies full, filled w naan and rice. Well-located spot in Brooklyn to curb that Indian food craving.

Carrot halwa and gulab jamun. Both are sweet and yummy.

The food here is good! However, the service is kind of all over the place and feels like a mess. I've been here twice and they can take a very long time to seat you and to serve you. Also, they tend to bring the food out one at a time in very long increments so you cannot have a good meal with everything on the table at once. One time they even brought the rice out first and then many minutes went by before an actual curry dish came out. Another time the naan came out first and because we were so hungry we ate it without any other dishes. For this reason I give this place a 3 stars. It is a shame because the food is good and they even have yummy deserts. But when going out to eat, especially Indian food, you would like all the curries and dishes on the table along with rice and naan to enjoy it as a complete meal.

Really good Indian lunch at this spot on Henry. It's been around a while and I had to try it! Pretty good butter chicken (chicken a little dry) and the saag paneer was delicious! Comes with a hefty bowl of fluffy rice and really liked the garlic roti. Heard their lunch special is a great deal and would totally come try that next.

The restaurant was slightly off the tourist truck, but it was busy with people. The service is friendly but very slow compared to New York's ways of service. The place is simple inside, with nothing to brag about, but the food explodes with flavors. I ordered Vindaloo, which is a lamb dish, and it is so spicy and garlic naan break. The dish was delicious, and eat every bit of it. The sauce was so good i used naan to finish it off. I want to return and order more, but this time, i will ask for the authentic level of spice.

I've been wanting to check this Indian restaurant out since few people have recommended it since its opening. Located in Brooklyn Heights, their grand opening offered 50% off menu if you dine in and lunch special for an affordable price. I've been meaning to stop by and dine in during lunch time for the 50% deal. I've heard nothing but great things about the food as well from friends. However, my recent visit was a bit too late. Apparently they had also recently changed ownership. When I dined in, they did not offer the 50% off regular menu and the waitress told me there is no lunch specials for dine-in. Honestly, this made no sense to me because it doesn't really entice people to dine in when they can just get takeout for a much better price during lunch hours. We decided to stay and dine in anyways since we were already there. Waitress was busy wiping down the menus when we arrived. It was lunch hour rush but the whole time we dine there, no other customers came in for dining or takeout/delivery. Which I can kinda see why now -- with the pricing and lack of incentive for dining in. That really bothered me. Anyways, we ordered the chicken and lamb vindaloo and garlic naan. Food came fast in less than 10 mins, but considering we were the only ones there, it was a decent wait time. The vindaloos came with basmati rice to share. I felt the portion was on the smaller side, especially paying regular lunch/dinner price. But food was good but pretty standard for Indian. Not the best I've had but not the worst either. I probably won't come back for dining in but will order takeout for their lunch specials. Quite a disappointment after being excited to try this spot for a while. I've heard similar experiences after the recent ownership change.

Great location, right near Dumbo. We stopped in around 2PM on a Saturday and it wasn't busy at all. So, if you are waiting in line by the bay, walk a couple blocks up to Mint Heights. The vibe is very calm and it's a nice place. The food is good, not necessarily memorable, but it is a fair price, very flavorful and filling. The Chicken Chatnar was very creamy. Not spicy at all. The Rogan Josh has a little spice, but nothing crazy. Chicken Samosas were good as well.

Friendly and helpful service. Food was good but a bit sweeter than I am used to. We had Tikki Masala, Korma, and a lamb dish. Comfortable seats after a long day walking.

It's a small restaurant and the service is just okay. The food is good. Paneer Burji, Lamb Rohanjosh and Tandoori Chicken was great.

Depending on what you ordering the dishes can be good or not. Good enough local food for convenience and quality.

Rich, creamy, perfectly balanced, and easily the best dish of the night. We also tried the chicken vindaloo, which was delicious but definitely really spicy--great if you love heat. The chicken xacuti was also excellent, full of flavor and depth. The bread and rice deserve their own shoutout: fresh, comforting, and the perfect match for every dish. On top of the food, the service was outstanding. Anthony took incredible care of us--super attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. He helped us choose the dishes, guided us through the menu, checked in to make sure we were enjoying everything, and genuinely made the experience better. Amazing food, amazing service, and a warm, welcoming vibe. If you're looking for top-tier Indian food in NYC, Red Onion is it.

Most abysmal service I have experienced in NYC. There's long waits, wrong dishes, or slow service,…read moreand then there's the racist owner who straight up lies to you. After an hour of waiting for our food, the three tables around us who arrived after us already got their food and were nearly done with their meal. We ask about this twice, and each time the owner says all three tables "pre-ordered" their food. I was confused and asked every table if this was true and obviously it was not. Before leaving, we confront the owner about the inconsistencies in his story, but he just double downs on his lie, alleging that we don't understand how a restaurant is run. For some reason, he even started to yell at the busgirl who was trying to get him to apologize? In addition to holding us hostage for an hour and continued lying, he tries to make the racist point that Indian food is more sophisticated and takes longer to prepare than other types of Asian food. I feel there are certain standards in the NYC service industry given the competition, and this was a confusing and unacceptable experience. The food was admittedly good, but not good enough for them to have the attitude they had.
