I had a late night craving for some chicken 65 and was not disappointed. This spot is open til either 10:30 or 11pm so it's a good one to go to if you're hungry and craving specialty cuisine. Service was fast. Staff was attentive (immediately had me seated soon as I walked in). I paid before I sat which was nice because I could just go afterwards. It sounds like you can also get takeout though I did not do that myself. My chicken 65 was lovely- it came with a big slice of lime and the hint of lime flavor with it made it really refreshing without sacrificing any of the flavor or texture or depth in the sauce or the chicken's crunch. I also appreciated the attentiveness of the customer service. Although the dining area is usually empty, I believe they focus on delivery, which seems to cater well to the area with a delivery range of about five miles. I can only imagine their delivery service operates smoothly. My experiences dining in were pleasant; I remember the cashier--pregnant at the time--communicating effectively and kindly offering me a small rice pudding for free. The restaurant is clean and dimly lit, and like most Indian restaurants, it's perfect for family gatherings or a cozy date night (just don't forget to bring a mint!). There wasn't any music or liveliness at the location, which lends itself to a quieter, more intimate dining experience. That said, you might have to bring your own energy to make it fun. Solid take out! Really enjoyed their lunch box options at $12.99, which is offered until 4pm. My group ordered lamb, chicken curry, and chicken tikka masala lunch boxes, and all of them came with a piece of naan each (you can choose which type of bread you want), rice, and a vegetable curry of the day. Just skip this place. I'm not sure what happened to this restaurant, but what once was a staple of this neighborhood has turned into a hole. The menu has changed, and the Nepalese additions were great at first but none of the food has been worth it since the takeover happened a few years back. My last 2 orders have not come with the sauces given with every order. Their naan used to be amazing too, but that quality is gone as well. I've been going to this place for the last 8 years, and after the last time, i'm done. It seemed to be naan, but pressed flat and rubbed with oil? Lemon pickle $2.95, Tasted great, but super tiny portion. About a tablespoons worth. I went in, was seated and told the waiter that I had to be sure that what I ordered was gluten free or i would be very ill. I told him this is not a diet, I would be very sick. He said ok. My order included an appetizer whose description included "lentil bread" among others, he said nothing about gluten so I assumed all was well. He then asked me if I wanted any bread, which set off a mild alarm in my head. When he brought the appetizer out, I looked at the dish and the bread looked a lot like good old wheat bread to me. I beckoned him over and asked if there's wheat flour in the bread, he said yes. (!!!) I said "I asked you if it's gluten free" to which he said "the bread comes to us that way". He then started offering to take the bread out for me. I told him that if he did not know what I meant or if he did not know, he should've said so.
