I had just got 2 brand new tires on my front so I knew after a rotation, they would be on the back. Obviously not the end of the world, but 5 stars means perfection, and while I "assume" the oil and transmission and brake fluids were indeed taken care of, technically how would I know? The tires I easily could tell, considering they had a tread depth of 10 vs 4, which caused me to have to go back to discount tire to have the rotation performed. Again, great place and I had some additional service recommendations that I considered going back for, but if a simple rotation isn't taken care of, I do have cause for pause that other service may not actually be performed unless I'm sitting in the bay watching every single step. Nonetheless, I do know if I went back they would have completed it, but they're a bit out of the way and also, after spending $550, I would like to think I shouldn't have to go back for work that was supposed to be done the first time. 4 stars is best I can do.

This is why I always make my mother put her calls on speaker because Steve's wife(Rochelle) and daughter, for whatever reason, have a habit of lying about things and have pretty consistently bullied my elderly mother for years. So apparently the daughter lied and said that my mother cussed her out, which she would never do, so when we got here this morning Steve told my mother you can't come here anymore instead of calling her and canceling it and having the guts to do that knowing she would be driving all the way in from Flagstaff. The behavior from his family is something documented on Reddit in several threads about mechanics around Phoenix, yelp, and other parts of the Internet so it's incredibly easy to verify this information and since his wife and daughter are now answering all of the complaints posts on yelp, I'm very curious to see how they respond to my very honest review. I also have that phone call recorded so I might post it on YouTube and link to it here to expose the obvious lying by Steve's daughter and i'm taking it to another mechanic to have them look at the work that was just done on it with the water pump and timing belt to make sure it was done correctly. In the short time that I posted this review, several people reached out expressing how many problems they had at A1 auto and recommended two mechanics in Apache Junction and Mesa and I've already spoken to both on the phone and not only are their mechanics knowledgeable, but their office staff is spectacular!! I consider this a good thing because now we have better places to get car repairs done! This community on Yelp really comes together to help people when it's needed.

He was on time, professional, and clearly knew what he was doing. He explained everything in a way that made sense, didn't try to upsell anything unnecessary, and made sure the job was done right. Scott is a Hack. Charged a very nice lady $650 to replace a purge valve, remove a door panel to…read more"inspect" what it needed and wiring for taillights. Not only did he just erase the check engine light and not replace the purge valve, still had issues getting gas, he refused to come out and "warranty" a part which is odd since it's free for him and everyone involved , but knowing now he never replaced it makes complete sense. He also ripped off the driver side door panel, lost screws and a trim panel but ruined a whole panel cause he did not know what he was going by pulling on it. Also charged her to rewire the taillights, said it was all work, not only did the headlights go out during a storm at night taking her kid to work, but then was pulled over the same night for a taillight out. If I could give him anything less, I would. Lady took the car to another shop who discovered all this.
