Great spot. Delicious coffee and friendly owner! I got the sweet plantain latte and inhaled it! Also got some griot to go. It was cooked so well. The red pikliz were tasty too. Will def be coming back

The word vibe is an understatement. The music Playlist got me bopping in my seat while working on my laptop. I ordered the saltfish Bahn mi. Ive always loved saltfish being around a lot of west Indian friends. And this was a clean and lovely play on. There was a wonderful cabbage pickling slaw that had a hint of pepper. It worked wonderfully with the sweetness of the baguette. I was hesitant on the plantain creme brulee but the subtle flavors was phenomenal. There was a carmalized plantain to garnish that was the "cherry on top" I will definitely return! Got to meet the part owner, Eric who very welcoming and he was great explaining dishes. You can truly taste his passion for food. Looking forward to their wine bar opening up next door and trying more food items.

One of my go to Latin cafes in Brooklyn now. It's so cozy and homey to visit and the food is just amazing with packed flavor. Honestly the owner is super nice and gave great recommendations. 10/10

I've been here 2 times and it's finally time to share. Why am I gate keeping an amazing restaurant in the Flatbush area. The first time I went was on my birthday and the timing is everything. They make everything fresh in the same room as you so go when you are hungry not starving. The weekends are the busiest time my advice go early or during the weekday for comfortable seating. You can bring your laptop or a book to enjoy it is a welcoming environment. The food yucca fries a must!!!!!!!!!!!! I've only ever had the Dominican breakfast sandwich - Frikitaki! it's so good I can't try anything else. The Plantain Brûlée Latte!!! Obsessed!!! Breakfast and desert in a glass!!!

I've been trying to come here forever and I'm so happy I was able to check out the spot! These spot is very small with limited seating, but I feel like that speaks to the homie vibe that they're trying to maintain. The waiter was very attentive and was able to adhere to all of the guests in the establishment. I had to try their popular plantain crème brûlée latte. He did recommend it cold, but I'm a hot girly lol I did wish it was a little bit sweeter throughout the drink, but it was still good 8/10. I also got the Sancocho which was the perfect soup I needed on such a cold day. It was very flavorful had a variety of ground food and It was a great portion 10/10. I'll definitely be back to stopping in.

The yuca was fresh crunchy outside soft inside and that damn House Epis Aioli sauce really elevated everything. The tostones had a perfect crunch and salt ratio. The fritakaki was delicious with a runny egg and the sandwich bread was soft fresh and a good size for when you are super hungry. I definitely want to go back and try the saltfish sandwich. It was sold out when I went late afternoon on a Sunday. The plantain drink looked beautiful aesthetically but I was craving more of a Cafe Bustelo type flavor. The lemon drink was really interesting though. I recommend it if you want to try a new flavor. Overall a great spot. I have been meaning to check it out for a while and being Dominican myself I was excited to try it. The space is very small so there is minimal seating and it is pretty popular. Go early because some items sell out by the afternoon. The service was fast. Eric was holding it down on his own for a moment and he was so kind and sweet with allergy accommodations. He asked everyone their name took his time and still had great hospitality even when things were busy. I would go back just for that service but also because the food was amazing!

This cafe is a lovely addition to the neighborhood and I'm so glad I got to meet the owner and hear about how Antilles Cafe came to be. Recently I posted up for a few hours at Antilles Cafe with a friend for a work session and I was in love with this place! The cafe part is small (although its bar next door is bigger) but it was just enough room for 2 people to share a table with laptops. In total there were 4 - 5 two seater tables inside and a few outside. While there I ordered the Tostones and Citronade (Haitian Lemonade) with Espresso. I loved both and I wish I took some of the Tostones sauce to go, missed opportunity smh. Overall I had a wonderful time and can't wait to visit again. Hopefully next time, the Chef / Owner decides to bless us non-pork eaters by putting Tasso on the menu (because the griot smelled divine lol).

There is truly so much to love about Antilles Cafe! I've been following this small business for some time on social media and finally got a chance to go while visiting my old neighborhood. I love their concept -- one island -- Haitian and Dominican fusion! Eric, one of the owners, welcomed me immediately and made me feel right at home. He recommended the saltfish bahn mi which I enjoyed and I washed that down with a Haitian lemonade. The space itself has touches of Haiti and DR and they also have some cool merch. I can't wait to come back again with friends. Looking forward to trying their griot!

What makes me give this place 5 stars isn't even so much the food (although that is very good) but the stellar service. I met one of the owners and he's such a genuine, nice guy that is clearly so passionate about his food and his business that it just makes you feel good about coming here. I have tried a decent portion of the menu by this point and everything is delicious. The Griot and Pikliz (fried pork and cabbage slaw) is good; my favorite part was actually the cabbage, it was seasoned SO well and really cut through the fattiness of the pork, and I wish the dish came with more of it. I'm not normally the biggest fan of green plantains (prefer sweet) but the tostones were absolutely delicious with the accompanying sauce. The saltfish Banh mi has to be my favorite tho, it's their most popular dish for a reason. Now on to the drinks-- I tried their famed plantain brûlée latte which was yummy and decadent, but to my surprise my favorite drinks actually turned out to be their non-coffee drinks. The citronade combined a bunch of flavors that I didn't think would mesh that well (vanilla, almond, citrus) but it really came together in a delicious and unique way. I highly highly recommend the morir sonando, which basically tastes like the best creamsicle ever in drink form.

Haitian? Coffee? Count me in... I've been into coffee more and more lately. Who better then to call when I wanted to try this Haitian/Dominican cafe in BK? We had some Haitian staples with a side of this sweet plantain latte. I would not have it again, but I personally do not like certain flavors in my coffee. It definitely had the plantain flavor throughout the drink. I prefer a simple Vanilla Oat Latte. I would have their cooked to order food with pikliz again and I think you should too.

    Best Coffee Drink!

If Brooklyn had a passport stamp for flavor, Antilles Cafe on Nostrand Ave would probably be the immigration office. Walking into Antilles Cafe feels less like entering a restaurant and more like stepping into a living memory of the Caribbean, especially the deep cultural heartbeat of Ayiti (Haiti and the Dominican Republic). The place carries that unmistakable energy of a people who have endured storms, rebuilt, and still found time to season the pot properly. The food doesn't just taste good, it tells a story about culture that represents Taino, African and Spanish Influence. The menu reads like an homage to ancestors who carried recipes across oceans and generations. Every dish feels intentional: slow-braised meats, vibrant spices, and plates layered with flavor the way Caribbean history itself is layered, complex, resilient, and proud. You can taste the echoes of the island in the seasoning, the rice, the stews, the way nothing is rushed. This isn't microwave culture; this is patience, tradition, and respect for the craft. And that's really the spirit of the place. The Antilles are a region born from survival, colonial upheaval, revolution, migration and the cuisine reflects that resilience. Antilles Cafe honors that legacy. The cooking feels rooted in the idea that food is not just nourishment but preservation: of culture, of memory, of identity. Even the atmosphere carries that same warmth. Conversations flow easily, the aromas fill the room, and for a moment Nostrand Avenue feels like a bridge between Brooklyn and the Caribbean. It's the kind of spot where elders nod approvingly because the flavors are "the way they're supposed to be." In a city overflowing with restaurants trying to be trendy, Antilles Cafe does something better--it stays authentic. And honestly, authenticity never goes out of style. Taino DaKa!!!

Ambiance and vibes 100/10. I absolutely love that they close late (10 pm) so I can have an admin day. I came here with a girlfriend and we literally spent the whole day here catching up. We had the oat milk hibiscus matcha which was good. We came on a Sunday and had the soup special and let me tell you....that bowl of soup blew me away. Now it is a bit pricey for soup but delicious. Definitely become a neighborhood fave. Looking forward to trying the plantain brûlée latte!

That set the tone of attentive service, which continued throughout an exceptional meal in Bath Beach. This area is busy, in a locals doing their thing kind of way. It's a real neighborhood, and La Chacra is a great reason to check it out. We initially had decided on ordering the Combo La Chacra, which consists of a whole rotisserie chicken, yellow rice with red beans, an avocado salad, an order of salchipapas, and an order of maduros. We added an extra half chicken, and thought "that's a wrap". However, there was an appetizer special of thinly sliced octopus prepared Peruvian style that needed to be ordered too. The service was excellent. Not overwhelming, but just right. Dishes were cleared, napkins replaced, straw wrappers taken away as soon as they hit the table. It's not something that I'm used to writing about, but needed to be said. And then, the food. It was outstanding. Compared to both the basic, and the high end Peruvian restaurants that I've been to throughout the city, La Chacra is far and away the best. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and felt intentional. Nothing was just thrown on a plate. As full as we were, and we were quite full, there was no way that we were leaving without trying something from the desert menu. Another wise choice, as both the flan and the tres leche cake were fantastic. To wrap this one up, this spot is a solid five stars. The prices are very reasonable and the food, service, and charming atmosphere will have us returning soon.
