This place was hands down one of our favorite meals on our tour of the Utah National Parks. It quite large on the inside, and we sat on the heated patio. We ordered a salad as an appetizer and shared two pizzas. Both pizzas were delicious and the crust was perfect-not too thick and not too thin. However, the real treat at this place is the Bacci dessert, perfectly fried bits of dough drizzled with warm Nutella. We haven't been able to stop talking about it! We tried Antica last night, based on Yelp reviews, and tried two pizzas. One was a Margarita, and Antica's didn't list tomatoes in the ingredients. We asked them to add tomatoes. Rather than include tomatoes and then bake, they baked the pizza, then added raw, thick cut very watery tomatoes after. The result was a messy disaster. They did remove it from the bill. We also tried the pistachio. I give them credit for trying something unique, but the pizza was undercooked with a mushy, doughy 'crust'. It was edible-but just barely. Pints were a bargain at $5, but not a place we will visit again for food. read more

After a day of driving from Southern California we arrived in Moab at 9:30 pm and prayed something would be open to feed the kids. We lucked out with Antica Forma. It was 30 minutes to close and as a former server, I asked if they were closing to which the hostess replied, "Come in, we are happy to serve you". Complete relief overcame me! The menus looked like they have not been cleaned since the COVID era, the dessert menu being essentially unreadable due to filth. The lighting was harsher than my ex wife's child support payments. The best gluten free pizza I have had, nicely raised crust, chewy, a bit of char, you can't tell it is gluten free. I had the pistachio pesto with sausage, basil and house made mozzarella. Service was just ok so that's why I took off a star. I was seated pretty quickly, but it took a while for the waitress to pull herself away from the group chat at the door and take my drink order. From a glass of water to a second beer, I had to wait for the server to pull themselves away from their conversation to ask for extra napkins, more water, etc. I asked for a "small appetizer" and the Burrata was recommended... definitely wasn't small, but with the cheese wrapped in cheese and drizzled with their balsamic, it was pretty good and went well with my Hefeweizen beer. All of the pizzas are one size and one price. Nothing "personal" about the size, two could easily share one. I opted for the meat lover's Macellaio and added some mushrooms. The crust was crisp. I judge pizzas on the sauce, and this one was the proper blend of seasoned thick tomato goodness. The meats were heartily sliced, and the mushrooms were fresh and not canned. The food was good. We stumbled across this nondescript restaurant front on Main Street in Moab. oh my, a fantastic pizzeria. They have indoor and outdoor seating, the decor is plain and simple, nothing fancy. We noticed a massive wood fired stove and a bar serving alcohol that seats about 6-8 people. The outside area is covered, and every table was full. The pizza's are all made in-house. There are about 20 different pizza's on the menu. They offer gluten-free pizza, vegetarian pizza, and also lactose intolerant products. We got take out from Antica Forma. We had the salcicca fungi pizza, pepperoni pizza, and the val gardena salad. The crust is homemade and just amazing. The sausage mushroom pizza was my favorite. Both pizzas were a bit soggy unfortunately and we wondered if they were done sooner than we were told and had sat for a bit. Because it was take out we were supposed to get plates and napkins but none were included, even though we were charged for them. So that was a bummer. Staff was really nice and the food came out pretty fast. However, the pizza's were not worth the money. 2 of the 4 pizza's were burnt on the bottom. They were all a little undercooked in the middle. The pizza sauce tasted like canned tomatoes without much seasoning. Sadly we will not be going back. 4 pizzas, 2 kids drinks and 1 beer =$100. Not worth it.
