While we've usually enjoyed our meals here, I must say the Brunch is much better here than dinner, I have no idea why. Brunch here is a nice affair, I'm not a big fan of the all-you-can eat type brunch's so this format suits my tastes better. Choose a main item, my fav are the Crab cake eggs Benedict, thank God for Lipitor, the hollandaise is rich and plentiful. They serve coffee or OJ with your meal and along with the brunch service comes a nice fruit tray selection of in season fruits and their signature Blue Berry coffee cake, YUM!! Service-wise the brunch servers do it right, they keep the coffee cups full they ask if you need more of anything in a timely manner and well, the daylight view is nice, nothing really special, just a nice touch being able to see the marina and all. I mean for an older, local chain restaurant, in Edmonds, what do you want? They do what they can with what they have. I do agree with Terrell M. the smell from low tide can be a bit much, but heck that's nature for you.... read more

As soon as I started walking up the stairs to the main dinning area I know it wasn't going to go well. The carpet on the stairs was faded and stained with something that looked like blood. It probably wasn't, but its more dramatic to think it was. We had drinks and food in the bar and you would think that since the restaurant is on the water they would make good use of the view. This isn't the case, especially in the bar were you can barley see the water let alone have much of a view. Drinks were weak and the food was weaker. The price was the only think not watered down... Service was slow and it seemed like we were more of a after thought for the staff. I'm giving them two stars because we only sat in the bar and didn't sit in the main dinning area. Maybe its better there, but I'm pretty sure I wont be back to find out. read more

Great brunches. My crab cake benedict was fabulous, but pricey for breakfast at a hefty $20. But the eggs were poached perfectly soft and they didn't skimp on the hollandaise. The crab cakes actually had big, tender chunks of crab throughout. It was luscious. All items on the brunch menu include a fairly large fresh fruit plate, served with creme fraiche, and blueberry coffee cake, with cinnamon butter. They were delish. The beer battered halibut fish and chips are amazing. The deep-fried halibut is crispy and well-seasoned on the outside, and moist and hot on the inside. What more can you ask for? The view at the Edmonds Marina was gorgeous and the service was Johnny-on-the-spot. read more

To set expectations, I'm going to be sending a bit of a mixed message here. I may raise my overall rating after coming back again. Stay tuned. But here's what I have so far based only on my happy hour experience: After spending the day inside a cold, dark office building, it was a joy to be escorted out to the open air deck for happy hour the other day. The view is spectacular. No doubt, if this was a review on just the location you'd see 5 stars blazing above this. But it's not, so read on. I took a seat along the railing. The wind was blustery so I was glad I had on my coat. As other people started to be seated around me I could hear some grimacing about the chill. However, the waitress offered everyone a blanket, which most people accepted. Not me, BTW. I ordered a gin martini and asked for six Kumamoto oysters on the half shell. This was not on the happy hour menu, but I had a hankering. The martini came out fast and was well made.A moment later a guy brought me bread even though I didn't order it. I said it wasn't for me. He took it to the next table, which was still the wrong table. But he left it. Later he came back with more bread and left it with me and finally also delivered to the last table, which was the table that it was originally meant for .The bread was warm and moist. So I was happy to have it. The oysters came out. They were awesome. But the server forgot to bring one of those "dainty" small forks. I used a dinner fork, but it was a little awkward. So when the waitress came back (with my second drink) I mentioned it and a tiny fork was brought out shortly after, but I was halfway through my appetizer. Sometime during this, the nice lady in the table next to me approached me and ask to see the menu. Apparently the server or hostess hadn't given that table a menu. Next, I ordered the clams off the happy hour menu.When they were served they were great. No sand in any of them, which for me is a record. The bottom-line, the food here is great. The service needs some work. My waitress was great to me and she was very nice. The support staff - not so great. I'll be back. You should go and try it for yourself. read more

In terms of the Beach Cafe, I like this Anthony's better than any of the other locations I've been to. For one thing, I think the bread here may be free. (I could be wrong, though, since usually it's my in-laws paying here.) For another thing, the decor is cheerier, the service quicker, and the overall feel more pleasant. In terms of their food, I like the blackened rockfish tacos. The fruit salsa is sweet and spicy, and the fish is moist but thoroughly cooked. The tortilla chips the tacos come with are a little "eh", so I think I might ask for fries instead next time. The desserts tend to be quite good, and they do special themes based on the time of the year and what crops are in season. If you're in Edmonds along the beach and want a pleasant lunch or brunch, I would recommend this place. However, I wouldn't get in the car and drive over just for this. read more

Would never go back here for brunch. Food was just about as mediocre as it gets. Which was not at all what I was expecting from Anthony's. My boyfriend got the seafood omelette which was an ungodly $22 for the tiniest omelette I've ever seen and what had to be yesterday's potatoes because they were so stale you couldn't even pierce them with a fork. I got the San Juan scramble which amounted to the size of like 2 scrambled eggs and a side of those same day-or-two-day old potatoes. At least it does come with fruit and blueberry coffee cake which was pretty good. Also, the mimosas were only $4 which was a plus. We ate in the bar and I do want to say that the bartender who waited on us was awesome. No complaints about him at all. I'm giving this review 2 stars because the service did redeem the meal at least a little bit thanks to that bartender (younger white guy - can't think of his name) Ultimately though, we left feeling like we just got robbed spending $66 for the least satisfying breakfast I've had in a long time. We have been here a couple times in the last month. We come primarily for the great deck and a few drinks. The food here is just average. You are paying for the view. I've had 2 different entrees and can say they are basically Applebee's quality . Not bad... Not great. We both tried the surf and turf recently and both steaks were very tough and tasteless. We sat on the deck Sunday and had amazingly bad service, The server was very unfriendly... until she brought the check. Suddenly she developed a personality! Too bad that the tip was already decided. I'm really not sure why we keep coming back a couple of times a year. The atmosphere is lovely and the service fine, but the food is just a bit north of OK. And, given the prices, one should expect waaaaay north of pretty fabulous. We went for the copper river salmon this year, and although the entrée was good, for the price, we should have been blown away and we were not. What I do love about the place is the seasonal fruit cocktails, but those are pretty pricey too, and given the multitude of good places to get a drink in this town, I'm still not sure why we keep coming back. GO TO ARNIE'S DOWN THE STREET INSTEAD! I knew this place was going to lick..... BUT, we were waiting for tide to go down to work on bud's sailboat. Naturally, sitting on dock 10 yards away from Anthony's, hungry as heck, we decided to give it a try. I ordered an $8 "Lemonade" which had absolutely NO TRACE of vodka in it. Fortunately, we had provisions to take care of that. The Chowder breadbowl consisted of a few oz's of chowder and mostly just bread. I asked for NO FRIES and a small salad in place of fries/coleslaw. They naturally dinged us for that as well. The battered True-Cod was done well, but come on, its impossible to screw up a battered-deep-fried fish, even for ANTHONY'S. NO HAPPY HOUR HERE EITHER. BOTTOM-LINE, might as well wrapped some fishing line on a beer-can, caught some perch off the dock, and battered them up instead! read more

Anthony's HomePort Edmonds... Really below average for Seafood... So Saturday Dinner, table for 4 "fresh" menu offering dungeness crab, Alaskan Scallops, and Springlings for some silly $$$. I'm NOT cheap, I will happily spend for a quality meal, however quality was NOT on the menu as we would find out... Staff was friendly but largely incompetent, or just poorly trained, dragging sleeves through plates already brought to table, courses brought in a haphazard manner appropriate for Sushi perhaps but not at a decent restaurant, and in general just sub par. The worst part though was the food, accept for the Alaskan Scallops that were surprisingly well done. Shoddily plated but well cooked and very tasty. The Crab however was just comical. I've had better value and freshness with dungeness in Omaha Nebraska... A little place called Charlie's on the Lake. But here, at home, on the water from an allegedly decent chain of restaurants we are served half an empty shell (ugly and pointless) and four truly pathetic little legs. If they had been served to me I would have bounced them immediately with a side order of scorn, but as it was my friend dug in without comment and reported that the four pathetic legs tasted OK. But, (and I wish I would have taken a photo) the plating was again a joke, and the portion was comical. The calamari was OK but nothing interesting and while advertised as "crispy" was simply not. The salads that were brought were by all accounts quite good... SO score one for salads. Apparently there is at least a salad Chef somewhere back there doing their job. Clearly Anthony's is not fine dinning, I know this and it's obvious. However you do expect just a little better from a large local chain. TLDR, NOT Good, WAY WAY overpriced, poor staff performance, all the ambiance of a Cruise ship Buffet or Airport lounge (Decor is out of date chintzy), food was hit or miss and of poor quality. Would not go back, even if free. Arnie's is right up the road and FAR better on all counts. read more

It's not the most amazing food you'll ever have, but there are some standouts on the menu, and it's a less-expensive (if not cheap) alternative to Homeport. I like the rockfish tacos and the alder-planked salmon, and the classic fish-and-chips if I'm feeling like something greasy. When I have ginormous boys to feed, the all-you-can-eat is handy. The desserts are pretty good and the seasonal fruit dishes can be awesome - the huckleberry slump may be the best use of a spoon in the history of mankind. I've been here many, many times with my family, ever since I was a kid. It's noisy and often pretty crowded, but it's a good place for groups and the wait's usually not too bad. The view's nice, and when it's warm out it's great to sit at the outdoor tables - though please be realistic, you're right there on the water, it's going to smell like Puget Sound. read more

Went here with my boyfriend, his mom, and his little sister (who waits tables here), so she was able to advise us on our choices. we all started our meal with some mussels. i love mussels, and i liked theirs. the broth wasn't very flavorful. and i guess they realized this b/c they also brought out melted butter. next, we all got their spinach salad (with huckleberries and blue cheese). i guess it's huckleberry season there, and they had a number of huckleberry items on the menu. i had never had a huckleberry before -- they are so good!!! then I got their 'best of season' halibut with huckleberries. huge piece of halibut, green beans, and a turkish-style rice (cinnamon-y with raisins or dates or something). the halibut was great. the sides were bland. i only finished about half -- and that was after giving out bites to my dining companions. we finished with a huckleberry cobbler (i forget what they called it) with huckleberry ice cream on top (this was a substitution that bf's sister made for us). sooooooooooooooooooooo good. i was only going to have one bite because i was so full, but i ended up having, uh, more than one. i had bites of the other entrees, and i must say that mine was by far the best (the other entrees had were the king salmon, the duet (chargrilled salmon and halibut), and scallops). this is why i'm giving them 3 stars instead of 4. oh, and the bread was great -- hot and crusty. mmmm.... read more

This is the best Anthony's in the area. They have a fantastic brunch and this is a favorite spot for me and one of my girlfriends. On a Sunday at noon we were seated immediately at a window seat. Brunch comes with blueberry coffeecake and a plate of fruit, and the waitress brought it out within five minutes of us being seated. It did take them longer than that to fill our water glasses initially, but after that they were pretty consistent about refilling them. I ordered a mimosa and the eggs benedict. They both came out in a reasonable amount of time and were great. I love Anthony's eggs benedict, alot of times that will be the main reason for me wanting to come here. 15 dollars for eggs benedict, 3 dollars for a mimosa, plus fruit and coffee cake, and I feel like thats a very reasonable price. Our waitress was really nice and chatty, but never overstayed or made us feel weird. Service was good and we never felt rushed. This would be a good place to bring your parents or your partner for a chill brunch. The building and decor seem a little outdated, but nothing too horrible. The menu is fairly limited so if you have exceptionally picky eaters with you, you might want to check the menu ahead of time. I would definitely come here over the Everett location since they're a trainwreck there, and I find the service here is better than Kirkland's. Parking spots are a little on the tighter side, but I've always been able to find parking in their lot. This is a pretty easy place to get to and the view is gorgeous. For brunch I would say this is a pretty safe bet. read more

My husband and I went to Anthony's last week to celebrate our 45th anniversary...which is almost as long as we have been devoted patrons. We had made a reservation. When we arrived we waited for 30 minutes in the lobby while other folks that walked in were seated. We weren't sure why...but it is Anthony's so we felt worth the wait. When we were seated and received our menus we were surprised to find the very shortened menu. Now...many restaurants are having to do this due to the COVID virus. That said...they have removed items like a crab salad and are offering items like fish and chips instead. We were in the the more formal restaurant...not their fish bar. I had hoped for a surf and turf but there was nothing like 8t on the menu so instead opted for a filet ($49) and asked for garlic grilled shrimp in addition ($9.00). The filet was perhaps 2.5" x 2.5" and I was served 2 shrimp. That is $54 for an entree that was not prepared all that well. My husband ordered fish and chips which he couldn't finish because it was over cooked. The bread basket is half of what they typically server and my Margarita served in a rocks glass. It is important to note that our server was very good. She was attentive and did her best. My concern is the very obvious cost & Quality cutting and price hiking. Anthony's feels like a restaurant out of the 80s now. The food is not fresh nor modern. You can't do a mediocre job with the food and charge that much. I am happy to pay for great food and ambience. I am sad to say that I saw no evidence of either. By the way...I never do reviews but feel like I wasted my anniversary evening on a restaurant that let me down. read more

Bad. We were seated pretty quickly and then waited a good 15 minutes before our server even really talked to us, all the while attending to the needs of every other table around us multiple times. Finally she took our order. Beer was good. Prawns were good. Mahimahi was bland. We finished our meals and waited over 20 minutes before being checked on again, so probably 40 minutes to an hour after we got our food. At this time it wasn't even busy anymore as things were obviously winding down, so it was pretty inexcusable. We reluctantly got dessert. The chocolate cake was very disappointing, especially at $8. Plus, it was super cold in there. My wife was freezing and I was pretty chilly too, which is saying something because I'm pretty resistant to cold. I will not be coming back. Anthony's was a major letdown. From now on, I'll stick with oyster bar in Bellingham if I want good seafood. Heck, dicks would have been an infinitely better experience. read more

Choose this place for our Big Day yesterday because of the location, and we got a lot of compliments. With the perfect weather, our wedding was wonderful with the view and scenery. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Vanessa made sure that we got taken care of. Everything went perfect, more than expected. The food of course were delicious from appetizer to desert. Slow service, food was not good. I worked at Chinooks in Fisherman's terminal so I assumed this place would be on par. No not even close. I was so excited to have the chowder and the chowder was not good. Our server was very slow, took forever to get water, very nice that's what the three stars are for. Nothing wrong with Anthony's HomePort that cutting its prices in half couldn't cure. My Cioppino was fine, if unimaginative, but for $25, they used fairly cheap seafood, and the real kicker was my friend's $30 steak, 6 ounces at most. Are you kidding me? And the small shrimp on my salad were so flavorless I think they came out of a can. Again, nothing wrong with any of that. At half the price. They're still in business, so that tells me there's too little competition for them. The moment a genuine fine restaurant opens up in the area, Anthony's is going to be a ghost town. Many of these reviews suggest Arnie's down the street, maybe I'll check that out next time. read more

We've been going to the Edmonds Anthony's off and on for many years. Always had a great experience. Not so this last Saturday. The table service was, as usual, great. The back failed pretty hard. Quick bullet list: 1. Knife had a small ball of hardened food crusted to it. 2. Shrimp in my cocktail were quite obviously frozen then thawed. Lost all texture. 3. First strawberry lemonade was very weak and watery. 4. Second lemonade still watery, not as much tho', and full of not blended ice chunks. 5. Caesar salad somewhat wilted. 6. Creme Brule was pre-made. As a result, the burnt crust was soft and gooey. Taste was bland. Table server handled it all with grace and efficiency. Overall not at all what I expect from years of experience at Anthony's. Seemed like the kind of situation Chef Ramsay would come in and rage at the lack of fresh ingredients. read more

The location is very nice, BUT today was our second attempt to eat there without a reservation! Both not successful!!! Today we were even asked to vacate the outdoor table, so they can sanitize it( it was completely clean of food or anything). It was obvious that we were with a disabled person! We were put on the wait list to be called in about 45 minutes!!! Only two of the outdoor tables were occupied and almost finished with their food. My husband went inside to put us on the wait list and told me the restaurant was almost empty! He said he saw about four people waiting to be seated. This spot is a good staple for a non-fussy meal. The fish entrees are always very good, salads are good and big, and the full bar has plenty of seating, but the decor and menu are a bit out-dated. The deck is awesome on a sunny evening, and they have good options for larger parties. Although the food was excellent, what makes Anthony stand out is their customer service. Let's start with the food. We enjoyed the sirloin steak, coconut prawns, garlic butter prawns, tempura prawns, and beefsteak tomato salad. Everything tasted wonderful, was hot, and perfectly cooked. As far as customer service, they have a real "make it right" attitude. Unfortunately it took awhile for us to be seated, despite having a reservation. However everyone went out of their way to make it right, without us asking. They comp'd our appetizers and made sure they knew we were valued customers. Our server, Tessa, was attentive and kind. This was the first dinner my husband and I enjoyed without kids for at least 6 months, so this was a really important date night for us. Anthony's made it a memorable experience and I look forward to returning again. read more

Took my family for a nice dinner, but I was very disappointed with the service. Got there on time, we were seated and had to wait 30 minutes before server came to the table. Went to reception to ask and they said, someone will be with you in a minute, no apologies whatsoever. Asked for a decanter and server said, no sure if we have one. Finally brought couple of then but didn't open the wine until almost was time to eat. Got appetizers and almost immediately they brought dinner, so we didn't have enough time to enjoy appetizers. Then we felt like we had to live right a way because check was brought in. The pressure was there, it was 9:00 and they close at 10:00. We want to start a Holiday tradition in a nice restaurant in Edmonds, but I know for sure that it won't be at Anthony's. it's to bad because place is nice and food is ok. read more

Here's a piece of advice I already knew and should have taken: Order with caution off the "Specials" sheet. Why? Because although it often features a new seasonal dish, the specials are more than likely to be items that the restaurant is trying to get rid of before they go bad. Hence, the ling cod on the menu. Our server even recommended it, but probably wouldn't have if she'd tried it. The cod smelled like a dead goldfish and tasted even moreso. After hesitating to mention anything the first time our server checked on us, I decided to just grow some balls and mention my dissatisfaction so that she could rectify the situation and make it a happier evening for me. I was so shy about it, but the server made me feel perfectly comfortable, and asked if I'd given any thought to an alternative menu item. I said I had tried my Dad's razor clams and thought they were perfect, so she smiled and told me to munch on my side items while I waited for my new entree. That was kind! I got to enjoy both plates of veggies! And the razor clams were just the right amount of chewy and velvety, sweet and salty, smooth and lingering in flavor. The creme brulee for dessert was great, too. Why Anthony's doesn't get a 5 star rating is the poor selection of seafood on the menu (no scallops? No shellfish assortment? No funky types of seafood?), and the scarily-unfresh ling cod that has me wondering about the quality of the other "Specials". Anthony's isn't cheap, so the food should rise above expectations, no? Well, the razor clams did, anyhow. Thanks to our server though, for really putting me at ease about everything, and for keeping us all in good spirits during a rare family night out. read more

So if this page was only for the Happy hour this would easily be a 5 star review. The happy runs til 6:30pm daily and offers amazing deals. Salmon Swimmers and Beef Sliders are only $3 for 3. These by themselves are delicious enough to keep me coming back for more but then they throw in great drink specials just to make it even better. When the bill comes they list what you saved under what you owe and every time I have been the savings has been more then the price. I love this happy hour. I haven't eaten in the restaurant in a while but I remember it being a fairly descent steak and seafood place. I would say a solid 3 star by itself. read more

First time my partner did not take home a doggy bag- in spite of much food left. She was disappointed. In fairness we have had many good experiences here. As I eat from the biggest doggy bag ever, I note the problem for both our meals was the mushrooms in our fettucinies- hers was lobster, mine seafood. So I now have a mountain of noodles to eat, which are good - now that I removed the offensive taste - from mushrooms which were seriously out of date. First time this has happened but it was enough to ruin the vibe. Otherwise- the waiter was well informed, very professional, one of the best- but never asked how we liked our meal or why there was so much left on the plate. Best things I find about Anthony's are the fresh hot bread, and the freshest butter ever, sourced locally, and of course the expansive view across our magical landscape. The drinks have been quite good for an occasional drinker- including the pomelo vodka drink was exceptional for both of us she a very light drinker. The dinner salad - just normal- but it is so simple to look at mushroom s before using them as they can make or break a meal based on how fresh they are.
