This is probably the best fish and chips ive have up here in washington (idk you would call it fish and chips; but its fried fish and fries) ‍ and its a fish house restaurant not a fish and chips; but whatever; either way it was really delicous. I like it better how the fish fried w/ panko instead of old fashion batter. I like it better than Proper Fish; but again idk if thats truely comparable. It was rainy and we had the doggos so we had order the foods to go and ate them at the car. The sevice was fast and the two ladies working were super friendly. What we got: Alaskan cod 4.5/5 Nicely fried and the fish good as is without any sauce. Halibut 5/5 This was our favorite out of the two; realy nicely fried and the fish is just so flaky and taste great as is. Onion ring 5/5 My wife love onion rings and she said this was the best so far; it was perfect amount of batter and nicely fried as well. Both fish were great; the fries......its alright. They mightve fried them a bit too long; we still finish them tho Including tips; i paid $80 for all three; but i wouldnt mind paying knowing that its gna be great! We will be back for sure and tried their other offering; specially when the patio area is open; and i hope they are consistenly good. read more

A hidden gem, 5 star experience for sure! An adorable spot on the river in downtown Snohomish that serves up fresh, delicious seafood items. They had so many amazing sounding items on the menu it was hard to choose - steamers, fish & chips, oysters, tacos, chowders, etc. I had a cup of chowder ($7) and 2 pieces of fried cod a la carte ($4.75 each). Perfect on a cozy, overcast PNW day. The chowder was incredible and so hot I burned my mouth. The fish was also PHENOMENOL - the fish pieces were large and fresh and the batter is crispy and herby. Also served so fresh & hot it burned my mouth. It's one of those one in a million moments where a burned mouth is totally worth it, lol! The staff are so upbeat and nice despite it being super crowded. The interior is casual and has "fishery" vibes. There is a small amount of seating and an open kitchen. read more

Cute little gem on Main Street in historic downtown Snohomish! First off, the vibes are fun. The art on the interior is cute and adds a lot to the place. The food is great. I especially suggest their beer batter for the fish and chips, and also the clam chowder. If you want to sample a little bit of everything, grab a captains platter. They have a great list of beers on tap. In summer there is a decent size patio, and they will have the doors open and air flowing, it feels great! The only downfall is it's right on the street so road noise is loud. One of my top recommendations in downtown Snohomish! read more

Was served salad shrimp as shrimp cocktail for 15$ owner claims "shrimp is salad shrimp" I've lived in the PNW my whole life and I have never been to a restaurant that has served salad shrimp advertised as just shrimp cocktail when I order shrimp granted I'm not expecting HUGE shrimp but I'm definitely not expecting mealy salad shrimp. That aside the shrimp tasted canned you can see in the picture they are falling apart they disintegrated in your mouth like sand it was horrible you could spread it like butter with a spoon and had no flavor as well as the dish being 80% lettuce. The owner said " I trust you let your server know" i would have but she was absolutely no where to be found after the food was dropped of we were not checked on a single time and you can check the cameras we actually had to get up and find her to pay our bill and by then we just wanted to leave overall would not recommend this place. read more

It was a nice summer day, and I have an 8-pound puppy that was zipped up in a stroller, and they would not let us sit on the patio!!!! These people SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who ban's dogs from an outdoor patio??? They tried to say it is a liability thing, yeah right how about the millions of other restaurants that allow dogs. We went down the street to the Mexican restaurant which had a way better view, beautiful patio, great food, and they were very dog friendly and nice people!!! Believe or not my 8-pound puppy didn't attack anyone and sat there as quite as could be!!!! When sitting out on patio's people typically know if their dog is aggressive and if they can be there or not. In all of my 56 years I have never witnessed a dog attack on a patio. What a delightful surprise - Andy's fish house is a foodie-quality establishment in a location where I expected OK food, but nothing special. For the fish tacos there was a choice of fried, blackened or grilled - and Alaskan cod, halibut, or salmon -- and of course shrimp, prawns, scallops, or combinations. And we didn't begin to address the full reach of the menu, which on that day included an ono special. We had the chowder (quite good). We followed that with tacos (on Taco Tuesday) with blackened cod, and grilled halibut -- each came with its own sauce, and they were delightful. We topped it off with iced tea, though they had a bar available (we had a drive ahead of us, so passed on that). The restaurant is in what appears to be a former gas station or auto-shop, and it has a warm industrial look to it. The staff was friendly and helpful. And while the weather wasn't great, there was plenty of outdoor seating which must be quite wonderful in the summer. Next time we're in Snohomish, we'll be going back - it was great, and there are so many things to try. read more

Came here on a Thursday. Found street parking fairly quick, but I can see it being on the harder side on the weekends. Super nice small town with lots of mom and pop shops around to check out if there is a wait. The food came out super quick and the service was very efficient and satisfactory. The fried oysters were amazing and juicy, the same goes for the fish and chips. The density of the fish that was given was very generous. I wasn't the biggest fan of the fries when compared to the onion rings. My favorite dish was the prawn tacos. They really don't skim out on the portion sizes. The clam chowder was very unique from all other clam chowders that I have had in the past. Definitely give it a try! The seafood linguine, surprisingly again. We lived in Snohomish for 10 years and sadly never ate here u til my first time last night (long after we moved). This place has the best clam chowder I have ever had! It was filling and flavorful and all around the best. The food was unbelievably good, fair priced, and fast. Besides the clam chowder I had the "Shrimp stiffed avocado" starter and it was amazing. Had a nice crust on one side and still super moist with a nice medley of vegetables. 2) Fresh steamers. Like the Cioppino, but with mussels and clams. this was really good. I have been wanting to try Andy's Fish House for a long time now, and it did not disappoint. Located on a beautiful street in Snohomish, we decided to visit on a sunny Friday evening. Since we were a party of two, we were seated right away. We got to sit on the outdoor patio at one of the high-top tables, which was perfect! We ordered immediately and started with an Iced Tea with Raspberry. It was super refreshing and delicious! For an appetizer, we had the Coconut Prawns. These were the star of the show, and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone dining here. Finally, we split an order of the 3PC Alaska Cod with Hand Cut Fries. Both the cod and fries were fried to perfection and seasoned incredibly well. I highly recommend ordering extra tartar sauce for this one. We've been here may times before. Way back when it was called Chuck's seafood Grotto. They've kept a lot of the same things in the menu but also elevated it a bit. Good drink selections too. I love that you can have indoor / outdoor dining and it's located in downtown snohomish right by the snohomish river. It's very casual environment.and I'll add every-time I come I feel very relaxed and fully able to enjoy my meal and time w my hubby and family. They've really added some nice bench /planter seating. A covered tent. Lighted too for later in the evening. All an expansion off the older part of the building. I think it's a great way for them to expand their ability to serve more customers. Food: my hubby's all time favorite is the halibut n chips. He rarely wavers from that. And it's always perfectly done. Light, crispy, not greasy at all. They changed their fries up and they are delish. I ordered the octopus taco special. Yep ! They were very good and rich. Sautéed w mushrooms onions and of course octopus. I'm often hesitant to order octopus but I'd been craving it. My reason for my hesitancy is because I've had it the way the Greeks and Spaniards eat it and it's meticulous. So I think it's risky. I think the risk was worth it. Just added some lemon and *chef kiss*. I had it w a salad too. The server was on top of it. Brought everything we needed without asking. Like this is a big deal these days. So many servers do bare minimum and you can't relax and enjoy ur meal cuz ur looking for refills or napkins or waiting for silverware that was missing. But the team at Andy's always has it all covered. Not missing a beat. Prob why I'm always relaxed. Also I have food allergies and she was fantastic at answering my questions or heading back to the kitchen to ask and they made some accommodations so I could enjoy the octopus tacos without butter. Anyhow it's a fast. Summer favorite and well often pick up in the winter. So if you're in or near downtown snohomish come on down, grab a seat and one of their many beer selections and enjoy a chill and delicious meal. read more
