Worst service and even worse food. I almost never write reviews, but this experience completely ruined what was supposed to be a rare date night for us. Neither of us ate more than a few bites of our steaks, yet nobody ever asked if there was a problem or why the food had barely been touched. When the server boxed the steaks for our dogs (a very expensive $50 dog treat), there wasn't even an apology or any attempt to make things right. There are too many good dining options to waste your time and money here. Skip this place and try the new Italian restaurant across the street instead. Delicious! The staff are great and such a cute local business. The food is always yummy and the mashed potatoes are some of my favorite. I would recommend to make reservations, especially if you are going on a weekend. There is an option to sit on the outdoor patio which is always nice since you get a view of the river. The sun was setting and we had nowhere else to be - so the slow and easy vibe of the patio overlooking the river was perfect. Devoured the crab cakes and could have had three more plates of those. On a busy Friday evening, we took our chances and arrived at 5:30 PM, managing to secure what appeared to be the last open table for two. My advice? Book a reservation to be safe. Our experience was elevated by the fantastic service; our host was incredibly attentive and made sure we were well looked after all evening. We started with a non-alcoholic drink from the bartender (a little sugary for my taste, but might suit others well). My dining partner and I shared a few plates. The Pork Milanese, while a little salty on its own, was delicious with the gravy and was served with some truly amazing mashed potatoes. Roger's Homemade Pasta with Shrimp was another winning dish. The only sour note was the Rotating Fruit Crisp, which we found had a gritty texture that didn't work for us. But don't let that deter you--we had a wonderful time and are already planning our next visit to explore more of their menu. read more

We have been to Rogers 3 times in 3 month. The food is some of the best in town. I always ordered the Prim rip steak with a glass of Red wine. All 3 times the steak was WAY over cooked and the wine was well over room temperature, I could not finish it was that bad. I ordered my steak medium-rare and it was served done. the last time we were there, my wife had the duck and that was dry and slightly overcooked as well. read more

Loved this spot! We went on an evening in June and were bummed that the outdoor seating was closed but I'm sure it's spectacular once they open it. Our sever was wonderful- so attentive, helpful, and checked on us just the right amount. His timing in bringing things out was also really good! I had the beet and burrata salad and it was amazing! So flavorful with a lovely crunch on top. My boyfriend loved the French onion soup too. I got the salmon and it was cooked perfectly. The artichoke dip it came with was also incredible. And wow- those mashed potatoes were probably the best I've ever had. The amount of ambience is lovely and dark with lots of cool local touches. Went there on a Saturday evening around 6pm the front desk said it would be 20-30 minutes. We waited 30 minutes then drove to another restaurant got sat down and had an appetizer and no one still called. I can understand a wait especially on a weekend but over 50 minutes and still no call ridiculous. read more

Warm, cozy, intimate, memorable. The experience starts with welcoming service and an inside peek into the kitchen before your party is even seated. There are SO MANY good options on the menu that it's hard not to appetizer surf. We decided on the French onion soup, crab cakes with a dilly sauce, toast points with goat cheese and honey, and clams with a buttery-savory bisque-like sauce and more slices of baguette to mop up the clam sauce. Amazing! Our server Lauren took good care of us and we had a fantastic time! As we were leaving, we saw the head chef come out to greet some guests. Our waitress was so kind and attentive! We sat on the patio, and it was a beautiful fall evening. That river view at sunset cannot be topped. The overall experience was great. I would give a couple of tips though; I ordered my steak medium, and it was pretty much well done. The lobster was quite a bit overcooked. I know this one is hard to control, but there were a ton of little flies on the back patio. When our food and wines came, they were all over our meal. We spent the entire dinner swatting them away. I suggested maybe some citronella torches or candles, possibly at each table. I will definitely be back though. Not sure why this place gets such good reviews. Went here on a busy Sat night. The energy was lively but the food was horrible. First, our waiter was an older gentleman who kept making snide remarks to both of us in an attempt to be funny. I didn't think he was funny at all, but rude. He kept trying to upsell us in a passive-aggressive way that made us want to leave. But we'd been walking around Snohomish all day and needed to eat. I got the short ribs which was supposed to be a stew? and the meat was TOUGH. The dish was more like overcooked SLOP. My date got the steak and our waiter completely messed up his order. But he DISAPPEARED after our food arrived and we couldn't send anything back. No other staff members were around to help us so we were forced to eat bad food we didn't like. AVOID this place. Or at least make sure your order is right before your server disappears. We couldn't justify leaving a tip due to the bad service and the leathery meat. read more

Wow it was another excellent experience here. Love those clams and like the fact you get a spoon for the sauce it's like clam chowder. Service is prompt and enough people helping everyone. Small place but we got there early with no reservation and were seated does get a bit stuffy when it's warm but outside is real . We dined here with friends a couple weekends ago and had excellent food and service! I've driven through downtown Snohomish and told the husband of mine we should definitely check it out for date night sometime. We made reservations and upon arriving were seated right away. The restaurant isn't very big so I think getting reservations was a great idea. It has a nice casual atmosphere we loved and our server was so knowledgeable about their gluten free options. He made a couple recommendations the whole table couldn't resist and we were not at all disappointed we listened to him. We had the fondue and they brought out delicious gf bread. It's a small appetizer so you can safely order a couple for a table. The husband and one of our friends had the French onion soup they highly praised and I enjoyed the seasonal salad with pears, gorgonzola, and candied pecans. Several of us at the table were so impressed with the sound of the scallop special that night we couldn't refuse and we were not at all disappointed in the perfectly executed scallops, puree, and fresh asparagus spears. The husband loved his fish and chips he had. We finished with a decadent flourless chocolate cake with raspberries. Everything we had was perfectly prepared, delicious, and served with a smile. How have I not reviewed this place?! Whenever my husband and I find ourselves in Snohomish this is usually our first choice. Small, intimate restaurant with a fantastic patio. Blankets, an amazing view. On this day, the patio was full so we got to sit inside. The bartender was awesome and chatted with us. The bar seating was nice, small but plenty for us. The food is always phenomenal and if you get a chance, have the clams. (Once I went and had two orders of them for myself...) I.always want to try the special, so if you visit and don't see the snapper, that's because it was a special. But it was delicious nonetheless. read more

Roger's is hands-down the best place to eat in the area. We live in Everett and Roger's consistently is our go-to spot during the week and weekends. The service is always fantastic and the food is PHENOMENAL!! Yes, your bill will be a little higher than some other places nearby but it's 100% worth it- every time. My favorite meal as a regular is the arugula and pear salad (easily the best salad) and the french onion soup. Cocktails are great and the bartender is even better ;) Save space for the cheesecake and ask for raspberry sauce. Of you like clams, the clam pasta with creamy leek sauce is to die for. I have NO idea how this place gets good reviews. The bar area is the nicest area of the restaurant. The dining area, not so much. There is a curtain that somewhat blocks the dirty kitchen. The food is average, to below average. Sloppy preparation and presentation. Have visited on several occasions to give it a shot, and the special is always the same. Nothing famous about the mashed potatoes (as posted on menu) Clams are FULL of butter Short Ribs are a sloppy mess something very odd that happened to our party, we saw the waiter pouring shots and slamming them behind the bar. To each their own, we just thought it was odd, and then taken aback when we all had a plus 1 drink tab on our bill when it came. Honestly I wasn't super impressed. We had a "Cesar salad" which consisted of 4 whole leaves of romaine lettuce drizzled in Cesar. The chicken cordon bleu was good, but not any better than when I make it at home- could have used a sauce or something to really elevate it... I excepted more from such a highly praised restaurant! Small and charming little bistro/bar. Thought it was cute they heat the patio with the portable big Buddy heaters. We got to sit on the covered patio with the perfect river view. On a busy Friday night, it was nice we didn't have to wait. The creamy saucy clams were quite unique and amazing. The clams were so big and piping hot, it was perfect for slurping the sauce when eating the clams and then sop up the sauce with the endless bread sides. This dish is a must have! Salmon rillette $10 four pieces of bread topped with smoked and fresh salmon. It's good, not amazing. Halibut special was cooked perfectly. The leek cream sauce was spot on if that's what it was with tomatoes it was so fresh and flavorful. Wish the portions for everything was bigger. The potatoes were amazing but for it being of a thinner consistency it didn't look attractive like a puddle of sauce on a plate. Maybe it'd look better on a small ramekin dish. The $38 was good was a tad overdone being a thinner ribeye. The good char made up for it. The pecan pie was delish. Being lactose intolerant, it was nice to have something without ice cream and different then the typical offerings like cheesecake and chocolate cake. Saw someone having pasta it looked amazing. Spotted this place after the Snohomish farmers market. Good service, but food is pricey and sub par. We ordered the specials based on the waiter's recommendations. This included the clams and crab cakes for appetizer and the fresh halibut ($33) and slow cooked short ribs ($26) for entrees. The clams were by far the best and the rest really disappointing. My halibut dish looked like leftovers, see photo- It came with mashed potatoes, a half a sliced carrot (?) and two pieces of cauliflower. Plus, there were too many spices and toppings on my halibut to enjoy any fresh halibut flavor (i was told it'd be pan seared with a thin strip of mustard sauce). We have started exploring the new local eats after making a move and was looking for a new dinner date spot. After perusing Yelp, decided to give this place a try and boy is it a great find. We walked in at 5 and was promptly greeted. It was a nice day and we had an option to sit on the riverfront patio which we elected to. If you area afraid it gets chilly on the patio, no worries as they have patio heaters in addition to having blankets and pillows as well. I option for the season special of the roasted halibut served with roasted cauliflower and one of the best mashed potato I have had in a while. The halibut was topped with a truffle oil vinaigrette and the chef came out and topped the entire halibut with fresh shaved truffles. If you like truffles, this is the dish for you. My wife opted for the crusted pork loin and that was great as well. Dessert was the pecan pie and that was great as well. It is a decent size and definitely sharable. Coffee is by the French press and if only one is drinking, you can ask for the half carafe. They have a kids menu too and couple tables had kids and our next trip will probably involve the kids.
