Fish and chips, fresh and hot!
James N.

I don't eat fish often, so take this with a grain of salt. But, I've stopped in here twice and both times I had perfectly fried fish that tasted like it came off the boat that same day. The fries are hot and seasoned with a nice sweet-ish seasoning salt. Served with coleslaw and tartar sauce. Both times I came in, I sat at the counter and waited, I noticed how much care they took in getting food out hit, and even making sure the food was arranged just so. The woman behind the counter even offered some extra fries while I waited. I'll be here whenever I find myself in Port Townsend.

One piece fish and chip with seasoned fries and coleslaw.

Fish and chips were delicious. Loved tartar sauce. Large servings. The young lady who waited on us was very friendly.

Really easy spot to stop for lunch when visiting the park and/or beach. Surprisingly good burgers! Lots of options for the space.

Came in for breakfast just after opening on a Saturday and we had an awesome meal. Great lattes,…read moreand a menu that is small but has something for everyone made ordering easy. I had the tuna melt (yes it's not necessarily a breakfast food but I don't think there's such thing as a bad time for a tuna melt) and my breakfast buddy had the eggs benedict with avocado. While I do love a standard tuna melt, I did thoroughly enjoy Bishop Block's version, which is extra dilly on thick focaccia. Their focaccia is awesome, and the whole thing feels incredibly indulgent. I have a big appetite generally but this tuna melt actually broke me. I actually saved half of it for lunch later, which actually makes the $22 price of the sandwich seem reasonable. I got mine with fruit, which definitely helped to cut the richness of the sandwich. My breakfast buddy really enjoyed his eggs benedict and actually said it was the best one he'd had ever. Granted, he rarely eats an eggs benny so who knows if he can even remember the last time he had one. Either way, it was really good. Is it $24 good? Maybe not on a regular basis, but as a treat, sure. Service here is friendly and welcoming, and food comes out fast. Definitely a must visit for breakfast in the area.

I love that the menu is simple and focused, yet everything is made so well. The ambiance was amazing as well. The restaurant is located inside the hotel lobby, which gives it a cozy, charming atmosphere that makes the dining experience feel unique. We ordered the Bishop Breakfast and the French Toast. We assumed the French Toast would be a smaller portion, but we were pleasantly surprised it was huge! It could easily be shared between two people. The breakfast was also a generous portion and could easily be split as well. Everything tasted fresh and was absolutely worth it. The French Toast practically melts in your mouth, and the breakfast was just as delicious. The service was wonderful too. Our server was attentive, kind, and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely a must-try brunch spot. We'll be back!

Great food, great band…read more They need more bartenders and wait staff tho!! Omg don't make people stand in line for 15 minutes to get a beer. Figure it out.

I have been really looking forward to trying their smoked chicken wings for a long time now, but…read morewas never there at the right time. Seems they sold out frequently. Finally a week ago, I was able to have two orders, one that was a BBQ flavor and the other traditional hot. We also ordered a basket of tater tots. This was the best item for our entire evening by far. Such a generous order, too. We didn't think we'd finish them when they arrived, but given the quality of the wings (not so great), we did mow them all up. The dings: well, the wings were just meh. Fatty, not crispy, smoke flavor ok...but neither the BBQ nor the hot were particulary good. Big ding: ZERO white wine. Last time, ok, there was no Chardonnay, I can accept that (barely...this is NOT a Chardonnay kind of place). But this time, red only. Apparently they don't stock any white...I can see where it might not be a big draw, but hey, just buy a BOX of it, keep it in the fridge and someone will order it in the 30 days the box holds its freshness. Second big ding: NO darker, heartier beer than lagers and IPAs. Not even an Alaskan Amber in a bottle. I guess if the guests don't drink it, then why order it. We probably won't come back except for when the Badd Doggs Blues Society plays, but couldn't we BRING in what we want to drink and pay a corkage? Or do we have to go out in the parking lot and sneak a shot? I really WANT to support this place, but, as of now, except for the tots, I'm not sure what I'd come here for. And that's not enough. Bring back Zoog's breaded Jalapeno poppers!
