Over the years I have brought 2 cars to Anthony's to get serviced, and recommend them to family and friends. I found them through word of mouth since my brother brought his '93 jeep to them while he was installing a lift on it. The first car I brought had a malfunctioning catalytic converter. They've done repairs to the coolant system on my wife's car, found a problem I couldn't locate with my mass air flow sensor due to engine lean codes, and now I bring my cars to them for any issue I can't fix myself. There is no need to look for any other mechanic. We have gone to Anthony's Gold for years and they are always so helpful, courteous, honest, and knowledgeable. My 16 year old daughter inherited her grandmother's car from another state. It was an older car, a 2001 Infiniti. It failed the emissions test. The emissions center told us to take it to a mechanic on the 'emissions list'. We went to a mechanic on this list (big mistake), who has several businesses in the area. They had it for one day and told us there were not any parts in the entire country to fix the problem, and there was nothing else they could do for the car. We talked to the emissions agency again and they told us we could take it to our own mechanic. Of course we took it to Anthony and his staff took their time diagnosing the problem and fixed our car. We passed emissions and my daughter has her grandmother's car. They also fixed a few other items with the car. Thank you so much Anthony. His son also works there and is great. RIPPED OFF!! TERRIBLE PLACE AND TERRIBLE OWNER! Antony installed a "new" motor in my Jeep for $8900 and it lasted 6 miles. That is $1,500 per mile. I called and he said "IT MIGHT BE UNDER WARRANTY" Might be? It lasted 6 miles. He made me tow it back to his shop. Made me pay for the tow. He said he would look at it but no call the next day. I called and said the motor had a broken piston and rod. That was the same issue he said the motor he replaced had. I asked for a refund and said no. I asked for my Jeep back and he said he "could not give it back to me" WTF? It's my Jeep. I finally got it back but am out $8,900. I asked for my old motor back, he doesn't have it. Took my car in for some front end work. They lose my car key. Instead of getting it taken care of anthony blames me because the key didnt have a ring on it. Further more he delays fixing my car. Anthony was very short with me gives me an old ford focus key for a cougar ignition knowing that i probably didn't know the difference bit of course he did. Had to have the ignition replaced. The cable in my back window broke and my window was not rolling up or down, it just stayed down. It's been extremely rainy lately, so I had to get it replaced quickly. It was Wednesday and the dealership couldn't get me in until Tuesday. Anthony was recommended by a family member. I was able to drop off my car the next morning and it was repaired within the hour. I have supported Anthony since he started his business which was I believe was approximately 7-8 years ago. I've always felt he was fair and honest. I handed out his card to friends and family and never hesitated to recommend him if someone was looking for a mechanic. Recently I took my Chevy HHR to him because water was on the passenger side floor. He told me over the phone the charge was $30 for discovering the leak in the windshield and repairing door panel clips. The next day when I chose not to have him replace the windshield because I felt I could get it done for less, he tacked on an additional $50 for "found windshield leak."
