My 19 year old truck wouldn't come out of park. My regular technician doesn't work on transmissions and suggested these guys. Even on the first phone call they were personable, knowledgeable, and professional. Once they got into it, they diagnosed(in under a day) that the problem wasn't in the transmission at all, but a $10 bushing under the shifter. They don't do work outside of the transmission, so they couldn't fix it themselves. Even so, they showed me where the problem was, and what part had failed so that I could fix it/get it fixed. They didn't charge me for the diagnosis, or the drain and fill required when they dropped the pan to check the linkage and moving parts within the transmission itself. They were honest, easy to deal with, and professional through the entire process. Still, I wish that I could give them six stars for the way they treated my wife. I'm a former technician, and have seen all of the classic misogynist "mechanic" behavior before, but not here: She asked questions, they answered, explained and gave her helpful tips. They talked to HER when she talked to them, not deferring to me at all, and treated her like an adult, intelligent person. I would send my daughter to them and know she'll be in good hands, and maybe learn a thing or two from technicians who actually care about their customers. Scott Cooper was highly responsive, worked with me extensively over the phone to help in an initial diagnosis and approximate cost of the job at hand. Because of financial constraints, he arranged for towing of the non-drivable vehicle to the shop without charge. Once the truck (1994 Mazda) was in the shop, he provided multiple scenarios for repair. had the truck repaired within the quoted time frame and under the specified estimated amount. In addition, as it was an older vehicle, the transmission was thoroughly inspected and tested, with fluid changes and other maintenance tasks being performed. Documentation was provided for the repair and all questions about the work were answered in a thoughtful and caring manner. Most auto repair facilities have a substandard reputation for quality and courtesy to their customers. Mr. Cooper did an outstanding job in not only the repairs to the vehicle, but in managing the entire process from diagnosis to final checkout. I had a recent experience with Advanced Transmission Center in Westminster, Colorado. I had previously taken my wifes car to the dealer for an oil change and as usual they did a diagnostic test which was given to us as we checked out. They recommended that we replace the transmission and quoted a cost of $6,000. This is a used car with 145,000 miles which we bought knowing that it had had been totalled by the prior owner been repaired and sold on a used car lot. We bought the car several years ago for $4,000, as it ran well and was in good condition. We had no trouble with the transmission and no indication it needed repair. We took it into Adcanced Transmission to see if it could be repaired and to get their cost estimate.. We got a call from Advanced Transmission that afternoon and were told that there is no problem and that the leakage associated with it was not from a leak but from a loose plug in the fluid refill; which they said they repaired and cleaned and that we could pick the car up. When I went to pay for the service I was told that they do not charge for a diagnosis. These days, I am finding it hard to have any kind of repair service done as I do not know who to trust What a relief it was to find honest people working for a honest business. I brought my truck in to ATC after it had done a few odd things lately. I was able to easily set up an appt online, they had availability much sooner than I was expecting. The appointment registration form is simple, but comprehensive, which made it easy to include as much detail as I needed about the concerns I was having. I dropped off the night before, and they were able to keep my vehicle secure overnight in their fenced lot. They contacted me around lunchtime the next day, after they had done multiple test drives and diagnostics. They were unable to replicate any of my truck's unusual behavior, but spent half of their day making sure they didn't miss anything while testing. I felt like I was the only vehicle in their shop, which was hardly true. They said it wasn't their way of doing business to sell me anything that they weren't absolutely sure my truck needed. ATC let me know that there was no charge for diagnostics, and made a few recommendations to help set my mind at ease about what I had been noticing. They were friendly, honest and I felt comfortable with my experience. If my truck develops any issues down the road, ATC will be my first and only call. read more

I did a really stupid thing to my daughter's car, a 2012 Forester with only 64,000 miles. Went to change the oil but drained the transmission fluid instead. Yea, dumb. Took it out & the tranny just slipped and no go at all. I live on a hill so probably coasted about a half mile before I stopped. Had it towed to a Brakes Plus (54th & Wadsworth- another great place!) where they took care of the fluid levels. Then I found Scott & Advanced Transmission Center. Explained things over the phone & he said to bring it by & he'd be able to look at it that day. I was pretty sure I ruined my daughter's 'baby' and was prepared to make a mighty payment to get things right. They could have told me anything and I would have believed them. Scott got the car in, checked it out, and said it was fine, bullet dodged!! Plus there was no charge to inspect it, just like their ad says. These are honest people, and according to their reviews they do outstanding work. Take your car there. They've earned my business and any and everyone's that I'll talk to. My daughter just moved to Denver area. I am in Wisconsin. She called and described a burning smell she had noticed while driving. I google'd and found ATC. I called and spoke with Anthony. He got the ball rolling just by being a decent guy over the phone. Suggested to daughter that she start with them, which she did. Here's the good part - She pulled up at ATC in Westminster. Anthony did a diagnostic and found an engine issue, not a transmission issue. He recommended next steps, and guided my stressed out daughter through the process. No charge. THEN he called me back and explained what he had found and already explained once to my wife and daughter. Above and beyond what he had to do. Now I just need to find him on Venmo or some other platform and give him a big tip, which he completely deserves for being a good human being not only to my daughter (in person), but to me and my wife (over the phone on separate calls, in another time zone). The overdrive went out on my F150. It has 112000 miles on it.I took it into Advanced Transmission and they put it up on a lift to check it out with in an hour. They checked it out to see if a minor fix could take care of the problem and unfortunately it needed to be rebuilt. I explained that I needed my truck for work and they told me that if I left it they could have it by the end of the next day. We discussed the rebuild and I told them that I wanted any parts that had excessive wear or could go out within the next 112000 miles to replace. I was called the next morning with the rebuild report and they had the truck ready to go that afternoon by 2:30. There were no surprises when I paid the bill as the estimate was what I was charged. The truck runs and pulls like new. As a side note Advanced Transmission Lakewood rebuilt my Explorer Transmission at 125000 miles. Scott was very professional and was insured I got the best parts and deal to be had on my problem. Recently blew out the differential on my Dodge 2500 (280K miles, yikes)...had to replace the whole case due to the level of damage it experienced. He took the time and effort to find a new part (24 year old part) that was in the best condition possible and had it shipped in. Within days of the arrival his team had it installed and ready to go. He was quick to return every call and was upfront on the pricing and possible additional cost that may be incurred (fortunately none were encountered and the original quote was all we needed to expend). He then follow up with a wellness call a week later to confirm that we were having no problems and asked us to come back in several weeks so they could confirm everything was still fine. I came to advanced transmissions with a quote of over $1500 from cottmans auto for a new clutch as well as new shifter assembly. Scott from Advanced Transmission not only came below the quote by $300 they did a fully body inspection to find that my front axel had stiffened up completely ( i hadn't driven the truck in over 2 weeks). Scott sourced a new part from a nearby junk yard, installed it and gave me a very generous deal on it! The service I had received from this location was nothing short of amazing genuine customer service. It has now been over two weeks since I had gotten my truck back and have driven it extensively in the mountains and so far there has been no leaks or problems with the repairs. Have had 2 vehicles serviced here. One was complete transmission, was very pricy BUT, was a great transmission and in a special vehicle. other transmission they rebuilt, after I got it back, shifted hard between 1st and second and they told me three different times it would smooth out. took it a year but finally did. then same truck was missing first gear. took back under warranty and Carl was more than concerned. Got my truck in and back to me the next day at no charge. THE Way a Warranty should be. Turned out to be a fuse and a bad wire they found. Fixed it and no problems since. Was very happy Carl was so professional. He re-inspired my confidence in repair shops, especially tranny shops. Hope he stays the customer service person for years to come. read more

Carl and the team at Advanced Transmission are as friendly and trustworthy as I've ever experienced. My Jeep locked up and fortunately the AAA tow recommended we take it there. Even though Carl was closing up for the day, he took the time to go through some diagnostics right then and there, and then found the solution by the following morning. And because it required no parts, Carl DIDN'T CHARGE me, even though he put in significant time and effort to find the issue. This made my jaw drop, as I've never had such an honest experience during a repair. I called Advanced after my dealership told me I had a leak in my transfer case. I didn't want to take it to the dealership because after a few months they were now telling me another part in my transmission was leaking. After talking to Scott at Advanced he was confident it was just the transfer case, not the torque converter too. He gave me a year warranty and then honestly said to consider getting a new car as the Nissan's seal in the transfer case was a bad design & that wouldn't improve. He gave me a fair price, delivered the car on time & stayed late til I could get there to pick it up on a Friday afternoon. What more can you ask for? Dropped off truck 8am due to losing power, slipping out of gear, and high rpms. Anthony called 1pm to explain what was found and what my options were. Trans needed complete rebuild, $5-6K. I called Mopar about warranty. Called Anthony back and went over my warranty with him. He recommended 2 dealers that Advanced refers customers to. Picked up truck, no charge, and now it's at dealer. Anthony followed up with email, detailing what they found, so I have record to compare with dealer. In today's world, honesty & integrity is rare to find. I'd give this place more stars if I could. This is old school Colorado, no-nonsense, honest and competent. I called up for the first time and Scott gave me his earliest appointment for a free diagnostic, checked it out, gave me my options with an accurate price quote and designed a fix that used an older better technology than the factory system that caused me problems. That is, he created a mechanical steel joint to replace the rubber bushings that had worn out. The price was as he quoted and my pickup runs great. Going in I thought my transmission was shot but the honest man Anthony and his coworkers were able to see that it was not in fact my transmission at all!
