Advanced is amazing! Had an ongoing but seemingly not repeatable issue with my F150. Dealer couldn't say what was up with it. Did lots of searching online with symptoms and finally a thrown code that narrowed it down. Ford dealer still couldn't say and their estimate was $3400. I want to give Dave and his team a Big Thank You! I reached out to Dave for help with my car thinking it was a transmission oil leak. They performed a thorough inspection and found that it wasn't a transmission oil leak. It was an extra o ring gasket in my oil filter housing . They removed the extra gasket and tested to ensure it didn't leak. Problem fixed.. It's nice to know there are still honest shops that will help and fix your problem. Jon's honesty and integrity are something you don't find very often. I had my transmission serviced by them. And it shifts much better now, and they didn't try to sell me something I didn't need. I called a local dealership that I've used in the past, and they quoted me twice as much for the same work. Once again this shop proves it's the best most honest transmission shop in the area. They did fix a leak on my Corvette a couple years ago but I was suspecting another leak, they got it in quickly and told me, nothing wrong and - no charge for the inspection and running diagnostics! They also gave me the trouble codes and good advice that it was probably engine oil and maybe the leak was the cause of an engine misfire - I'd seen that code myself having run my own diagnostic but hadn't tied it to a possible internal engine oil leak. Thanks guys! I tried to bring a friend's 2013 Ford Focus here recently for tranny work after Ford quoted $2k to repair their badly designed mess of a tranny (lots of recalls), but unfortunately the shop told me, that's a 'Ford only' fix. Bummer. So the friend had Ford fix it and on the drive away from Larry Miller Ford - the problem remained. Back it went and there it sits. Trust these pros if you need transmission help. read more

I had a recent experience with Advanced Transmission Center in Westminster, Colorado. I had previously taken my wifes car to the dealer for an oil change and as usual they did a diagnostic test which was given to us as we checked out. They recommended that we replace the transmission and quoted a cost of $6,000. This is a used car with 145,000 miles which we bought knowing that it had had been totalled by the prior owner been repaired and sold on a used car lot. We bought the car several years ago for $4,000, as it ran well and was in good condition. We had no trouble with the transmission and no indication it needed repair. We took it into Adcanced Transmission to see if it could be repaired and to get their cost estimate.. We got a call from Advanced Transmission that afternoon and were told that there is no problem and that the leakage associated with it was not from a leak but from a loose plug in the fluid refill; which they said they repaired and cleaned and that we could pick the car up. When I went to pay for the service I was told that they do not charge for a diagnosis. These days, I am finding it hard to have any kind of repair service done as I do not know who to trust What a relief it was to find honest people working for a honest business. I can't thank Scott enough! After some shifting problems I took my truck to the Ford dealership. They quoted me $5,000 minimum to rebuild my transmission and transfer case. I took to another shop and they quoted me even more. As as last ditch effort I called Scott at Advanced Transmission Center. Scott coordinated towing my truck (it was messed up from the other shops) and called me a few hours later after running several diagnostics on my truck. Long story short he fixed my truck for $1,400 as the problem was limited to my transfer case - nothing was wrong with my transmission!! These guys saved me at least $4,000! Advanced Transmission was the third and final shop I contacted to gather info and pricing for a Toyota transmission. After purchasing my vehicle, I discovered that the transmission needed to be replaced. (Bummer!) Anthony who was very kind, informative and helpful spent almost 20 mins with me to help me explore my options by looking into pricing, availability and timeframe. After my conversation with Anthony, I ultimately made the decision to cut my losses and sell my car. Even though I took a huge loss, I felt confident it was the right decision because Anthony gave my everything I needed. The first 2 garages did not and simply said I needed to spend $6K to just replace the transmission. When considering my car was worth less than half that amount, I was slightly offended they had the nerve to even go that route. I would definitely recommend this shop to others who are looking for honest, knowledgeable and caring mechanics/staff whose first priority isn't about the sale, but the interests of their customers. I'm with Kelley E. Complete sleazebags. My 1 star rating is 2 part. First, I had a light drip between the transfer case and tranny in a vehicle that I used to own that they "fixed", had to take it back in 6 months later to re-fix, then was leaking again when I finally sold the vehicle. Bottom line, $800 and 2.5 weeks of no car and they never did actually fix the problem. Waste of time and money. Second part of the 1 star rating has to do with another vehicle that I recently sold. A prospective buyer (female) took my vehicle to this place for a transmission "inspection" only to be told that the tranny was shot and needed rebuilt. Of course. What else are they going to say? After she backed out on buying my vehicle because of their b.s. diagnosis, I took it to 2 other places who both said it is good to go and laughed when I told them the original shop who said it was ready for a rebuild. "Those guys have been screwing people over for 20+ years now! I'd never in a million years send someone to those guys!" said one of the mechanics I took my vehicle to after Advanced. This coming from a mechanic I actually trust. Bottom line, if you're a member of the fairer gender, you may want to steer clear of these sleazebags. Heck, at this point, everyone should steer clear unless you're 125% sure your tranny is actually messed up. Then, who knows if they'll actually fix it?! Stay away. Wrong me once, shame on you. Wrong me twice, get on Yelp and make sure everyone knows what a shoddy business is being run! read more

Westminster service center did a great job finding a new transmission control module for my 2008 C70 Volvo. During this Covid period it took almost 3 months to get a good unit that functioned properly. After 6 months from the repair time a garage noted a transmission fluid leak during an oil change. Karl scheduled an appointment to check the source of the leak. It turned out to be a few bolts on the side of the transmission needed to be torqued. Nice to know a transmission rebuild was not required and at no additional charge. read more

Carl and the team at Advanced Transmission are as friendly and trustworthy as I've ever experienced. My Jeep locked up and fortunately the AAA tow recommended we take it there. Even though Carl was closing up for the day, he took the time to go through some diagnostics right then and there, and then found the solution by the following morning. And because it required no parts, Carl DIDN'T CHARGE me, even though he put in significant time and effort to find the issue. BEWARE ALL FEMALES: I am not saying this place targeted me because I was female, but I do feel it was a factor in the way I was treated. To be honest I do not know a lot about cars. This establishment not only took apart my transmission but told me I had to PAY THEM $2800 to put it back together. After the technician told my boyfriend he would "put it in a box" and we could pick up my transmission-less car, my boyfriend fought w him and the owner until they finally realized they weren't doing us right and put it back in; luckily at no charge. I believe my gender was the catalyst for all of the nonsense, and thankfully my boyfriend was there to support and aid my situation. Came across these guys while eating at the Mexican restaurant next door, they got me in, figured out what was wrong and fixed it in under 48 hours as well as under the price they originally quoted me and all the work came with a 3 year warranty! My car got towed in on a Wednesday am and was able to be picked up three days later on Friday @ 4:30pm. Less than 6 days, and 400 miles later, the transmission is worse than when I brought it in. I was working with Jarrett who was very friendly and seemed honest and sincere. I have left Jarrett a vm tonight. The rebuilt transmission does have the standard 2yr, 24,000 mile warranty that is standard with a transmission rebuild. I received a call from Jarrett @ 8:05am this morning, and brought back in my car. They pulled the codes and found that I have a defective solenoid. I will be bringing my car back in at noon today for a replacement. It was explained to me that solenoids can just go bad. Jarrett called me at 11:15am to let me know that they had the part in. It was super quick and easy, and the car (so far) appears to working like a newly rebuilt transmission should. It is frustrating to have this happen, and was apologized to, stating that this is a very rare thing to have defective. I am happy to have a working car, but am just a little shaken. The guys that worked at Retro next door stated that his transmission was rebuilt by Advanced Transmission Center and has been working amazingly well. Very nice guys, and I didn't feel like I was taken advantage of. UPDATE: The solenoid was not the issue. When the car's engine got really really hot, the transmission did not change gears. Advanced had to rebuild the engine again. I asked for an extension on the warranty, and was told no. They did rent me a car during the 2nd rebuild, which was nice. I still think they are an honest business, maybe I just had a bad rebuild. read more

Wowzir!!! After two years of trials with my 4wd Chevy Pickup (2000) - the award for fantastic service goes to Advanced Transmission in Wheatridge, CO. They installed a new 4wd transmission and rear end fifferential in 2014. It still works perfectly at the end of a 2-yr. warranty. I brought it in for a final look to make sure everything was good before the warranty expired. Just to be sure they pulled the drive shaft and had it tested for balance. They went ahead and replace the U-Joints and charged me nothing. I Am Stoked about how well This truck RUNS at 17 years of age! read more
