BEWARE UNNECESSARY SERVICE COSTS: I came in for what I knew to be an ignition coil issue. They suggested a new spark plug as well. Instead of working on only the problem cylinder, all four spark plugs were replaced at $100+ extra parts and labor cost. They also tried to suggest I needed a wheel alignment on band new rims installed 4 months ago... Beware their unecessary upsells, I've learned my lesson here. read more

We had a check engine light come on in our older Volvo. It's not easy to find someone that handles work on Volvos aside from the dealers. Anyway Wesley indicated they did handle Volvo issues so we took it there. It is closer to our house so that was a factor. Turns out we did need some solenoid work along with related checking/testing. They were able to handle all this and at a fair rate. Given we have an older vehicle we will need more work in the future so having Wesley available to help is a good thing to know. My only concern was there was a delay of a few days in getting the job done. We believe it was a part they ordered that did not get there as timely as they thought. They did stay in touch with us so we knew what was going on and overall I'm pleased with the outcome. They fixed my immediate problem and suggested some additional work which can be done later. We've had our Volvo for many years and intend to keep it operational for a long time. Appreciate their help! read more

Full of shit & overpriced by miles. Had my vehicle there from a body shop for alignment. I was told that they would not touch it because of worn parts. A 26 year old car with a non greaseable system ok, but they wanted $1200 for repairs. I said that was way too much for what was to be done & he went down a little but not much. I thought about it & got a second opinion. Mechanic #2 agreed that shop #1 was full of shit & very greedy. We did the work at his shop where he charged normal rate of $100/hour & $200 for parts that I brought. It was $400 for parts & labor & I got American made parts. It took him 2 hours because he knows what he is doing & IS NOT a greedy fuck. $100 for an alignment which he spent the time to do it right of an hour. $500 for what these guys wanted to do for nearly 3x as much & I know him & trust him. I also asked about switching out a transmission pan that I beat up when I ran over the curb. $750 to do that, but my went $100 & did it right by refilling with correct fluid & proper torque on the pan. Goes to show that the non greedy people do much better work. I am very distrustful & this shop proved it as I was not comfortable with them. Thank God for 2nd opinions read more

When my mechanic retired and closed his auto shop last fall I wasn't sure who was going to take over service on my Ford Escape. I started asking around with friends and on NextDoor and the Fb Wheat Ridge group page for referrals. Time and again Wesley Automotive came up so I figured I'd check them out. I went to their website which is very informative, current, and easy to navigate. I sent an email to the address noted with a couple questions and got a reply within 2 hours from their service manager, Casey. She was knowledgeable and very helpful in answering all my questions. I went ahead and made an appointment that day and was able to take my car in for a service check up within a week. One of the caveats was I needed a ride home after drop off and to pick up. Not a problem! Casey herself got me back home then picked me up with my Escape when it was ready. She was so great and I felt very comfortable having my car serviced with Wesley. I was kept informed of the work performed and nothing beyond regular servicing was taken care of without a conversation with me first. Turns out there were a couple smaller items including an oil drain plug that was difficult to remove and then would not tighten. Turns out the threads in the oil pan were stripped - something that had to have happened with my old mechanic (of 15 years!). They found a couple other small leaks - all that should have been taken care of some time ago. I'm SO GLAD I now have an auto shop run by experienced, honest and caring people. The paperwork they provided plus verbal communication outlined all the diagnostics including what was repaired and items to keep an eye on moving forward. My Escape is a 2001 in really good condition and has never needed a major repair (at 94,000 miles!). I am absolutely confident that the mechanics at Wesley will keep my SUV running smoothly for many years to come. I highly recommend their shop! read more
