This place is in our neighborhood and very close to home. It's important to have a reliable auto shop nearby. No frills and no fuss at a place like this. Well I got a flat tire this morning. I showed up at the shop knowing there was a chance they wouldn't take it considering the amount of cars I see them working on at any given moment. The gentleman said they don't normally do patchwork but would hate to see me stranded. He said it'd be completed by noon. At 10:41am they called to inform me my car was ready. Talk about efficiency and hospitality! They charged me $25 for the whole operation. It's an easy fix for them and I think the most appropriate pricing for something of this nature. Thank you guys so much! Also, they have the cutest three legged shop dog named Daisy. Wheat Ridge Auto Service has our business as long as we live in this neighborhood.

IT Failed! was thinking it was the Catalytic Converter, which for this van is about $1,500.00 to be Carb compliant in Colorado... Was given Midtown Auto's name, I called them, they got me in to check it with a gas analyzer, (many shops do not have them) within a couple of days I got the news.. They adjusted different areas on the motors, gas air Etc., replaced the throttle housing (No Charge except labor). I had also mentioned the Emissions inability to shift the van and get it through the testing , so they adjusted the shift linkage also. Then they took it to the emission station, and got a passing test for me! What a relief !! These guys were professional and friendly. My only charges were for labor, It was so worth it, saving me the headache of finding a station to get it through the testing process, after the repairs. It runs and drives great! Thank you Midtown Auto !!

Based on a picture of my engine, my brother was pretty certain I had a valve cover gasket leak and so I went to Nate to get that fixed, get an oil change, and an engine tune-up. He not only informed me that there was no leak, but he also ended up charging me less than the quote he gave me for the other repairs due to finding less expensive parts. My Toyota RAV is running so much better. I can't say enough good things about him, his work, and his integrity. He is incredibly trustworthy, won't do work that you don't need, will give you DIY information for keeping your car running better, and will give you a great price on repairs and parts. I wouldn't take my Toyota to anyone else.

But that's the takeaway. You can trust him. You should go there. He knows his stuff. I brought in my car to another mechanic close to my home because it was leaking coolant. They gave me an estimate of $1,600. I asked specifically what parts they were replacing and what parts were broken. I was suspicious of the number when I called my dad (who has been fixing my car for the last 10 years) and he said he felt like that was outrageously high. I got a recommendation from a friend to call Nate. I asked if I could get a quote and said I couldn't bring my car to him since I had already approved the cost and they had already started fixing my car at the other place. Nate still took time out of his day to look up the cost of every part and gave me an estimate for the entire job. It was significantly cheaper than what I was being quoted. I called the other place back and told them I had gotten a much cheaper quote from Nate. Nate then got multiple phone calls from the other mechanic and they talked about where they got the parts from (same place) and what Nate's estimate included. Flash forward to when I finally receive my invoice. It's $223 cheaper than my initial quote. The other guy switched around his labor costs to more closely match Nate's quote. But even still..Nate's quote was still cheaper than what I paid. The whole time Nate talked/texted me, he told me how to look up the cost of parts, what website to use, and how to google to know exactly how much repairs should cost. He basically helped me become an informed customer and told me to keep those mechanics honest! I've been dealing with multiple mechanics here in Denver and I've never trusted one until now. I still haven't paid Nate a dime. The only thing I can do for now is tell my story and hope he gets some more customers from it. And I hope he knows that I'll be calling his number the next time my car breaks down. Thank you Nate!! You da man!

The good Everything has a give or take this place is…read moreextremely knowledgeable, kind and responsive they work very hard to ensure they provide the best service I have taken plenty of vehicles and always helped with everything I needed! The bad The service advisors aren't very knowledgeable and they try and price gauge you like crazy, i understand trying to run a business and having to deal with cost but being greedy is not the answer not in this economy. I.E i called for a quote on a transmission oil change on my truck they told me it was gonna be 900+! Outrageous when my ford dealer was gonna charge half and then the local mechanic 300! Also the lying on parts used is crazy. Service advisor said " it takes two filters on the transmission and you need to drop the valve body" when you google search ford 10r80 transmission oil change and tell me if it has 2 filters with one behind the valve body I will gladly eat my own words and pay the 900+ if I'm wrong! Take aways great place to fix complicated things for sometimes cheaper than the dealer please be very weary and google what your problem is and don't always believe what the advisors have to say!!
