The bad The service advisors aren't very knowledgeable and they try and price gauge you like crazy, i understand trying to run a business and having to deal with cost but being greedy is not the answer not in this economy. I.E i called for a quote on a transmission oil change on my truck they told me it was gonna be 900+! Outrageous when my ford dealer was gonna charge half and then the local mechanic 300! Also the lying on parts used is crazy. Service advisor said " it takes two filters on the transmission and you need to drop the valve body" when you google search ford 10r80 transmission oil change and tell me if it has 2 filters with one behind the valve body I will gladly eat my own words and pay the 900+ if I'm wrong! Take aways great place to fix complicated things for sometimes cheaper than the dealer please be very weary and google what your problem is and don't always believe what the advisors have to say!! read more

My wife purchased a 2020 Subaru wagon recently as a replacement for her long service other vehicles. It developed a problem with its back hatch door. It ceased opening and closing automatically and would not latch in the closed position. She tried taking it back to the selling company and other Subaru dealers to help resolve the problem with no success as to the reason or the resolution of the issue. Seyfer whom we have used for now on to 45+ years for our vehicles figured out the issue, ordered the parts and resolved the issue the following day. Called to inquire about pricing for a heater core flush and/or coolant flush. I recently ran some stop leak through my system because I was loosing coolant. Turns out it was just a hose that wasn't clamped down properly. But because I ran the stop leak with like no leaks, it did some clogging to my heater core giving me warm ish heat. My goal was to flush the stuff out of the system. I was literally told a bunch of BS. Before getting an estimate of $294 for just a coolant flush. So I asked what about just a heater core flush then? They... and by they I mean Mr. "25 years of experience" said "we don't do that" and that "they've never heard of anyone doing that before". Pretty astonishing considering the whole "25 years of experience" thing. He pretty much told me, because I have an older car (98 Honda Accord 4 cylinder, 176,000 miles) to go sell my perfectly functioning vehicle. What's his face didn't give his name but I wouldn't trust someone who's never heard of a heater core flush to work on my car. Be advised, this shop has shady characters. Also the place I normally go to which are Honda specialists did quote me for a heater core flush. Maybe it's because they have people with 30+ years of experience lol. read more

If I could give a 50 star rating, I would. I was involved in an incident where driver pulled out in traffic into my lane & I hit him. It knocked the tire off the rim & destroyed it, damaging the rim as well, plus some suspension components. It happened almost in their driveway. This used to be my family auto repair shop. They're friendly enough, but it's easy to be friendly to someone who's repeatedly giving you money. The basic situation: I took my car here on numerous occasions for the same issue. A series of repairs were made, none of which actually fixed the vehicle. They were never apologetic for the fact that after half a dozen times, they still couldn't figure out the problem. I had mistakenly thought that because they also did business with my parents, this was an auto shop I could trust. I hate to use this word, but I honestly felt scammed. I've since switched to Sundance Auto, who I can say is above all an honest auto shop that will not rip you off. It's hard to find a good, trustworthy mechanic, but Seyfer is the last place to look. read more

I took my car into Seyfer recently for a check engine light and an overheating issue --coolant boiling out all over the engine, yikes! They were able to check it out within a day and let me know what was wrong and what it would take to fix it. It was a pretty big issue but I was expecting it for an 8 year old car. They didn't give me any high pressure sales talk or up-selling. I asked them to perform regular tune-up maintenance anyway in addition to the main work. I'm glad I did. My car runs better now than it has in awhile. They even reset the car's clock after reconnecting the battery! I recommend Seyfer to others and will definitely be back for future service needs. read more

One, I usually do my own wrenching whenever possible. Two, I'm very careful with who I take my vehicles to for repairs. Justin was the one that I dealt with. He did what he said he would do. He was prompt and courteous. Seyfer rechecked some of the work they had done and ended up fixing a problem that was unrelated to the original scope of work for no charge. Super rare these days. I had very high hopes when I first called Seyfer for repair of my vehicle. I saw the high reviews on the web and thought perhaps I had found my new auto maintenance and repair home. I was told by my car dealer that I needed new shocks and struts on my vehicle. However, several people told me that was very strange for a vehicle with only 70k miles. So, I decided to get another opinion. My first conversation with Seyfer put enough doubt in my mind that I wanted them to have a look to make sure that's what I needed. So, I took my car in and it was determined that I could benefit from shocks and struts. It would take one day and the cost was comparable. Donny then upsold me on some fluid flushes, which I agreed to. So the total became more than $1,300. Fine. I believe you get what you pay for. Once I accepted the proposal and dropped off my car, the excellent customer service stopped. I called at the end of the day to see when I could pick up my car. I was then told it would take until mid-morning the next day. ?! What ?! No one told me this. As a business owner, I plan my days far in advance. I was told that I should have known with all of the work being done that it would take more than one day. Except for the fact that I am not a mechanic or I would be fixing my own car. And I'm certainly not a mind reader! No problem, they said, they will put me in a rental car. So, I was given a rental car (hunk of junk) and drove that. Finally, at lunch time the next day, when I had heard nothing from them (again) I called to check on my car. I was told it would be done in an hour. So I ran and errand and two and a half hours later (giving them some extra time) I gassed up my rental car to take it back to them, only to be told that my car was still not ready. I understand sometimes things take longer than anticipated, but honestly, where is the communication? So, I had to take the rental car that I had just gassed up to return and drive it for the rest of the day, meaning I had to stop and gas it up again. How is this good customer care? I am in the service industry and I am not a difficult person. However, I am also a business owner and am busy and I expect that my time will be respected. It was not. The communication was not what it should have been and I was inconvenienced time and time again by Seyfer due to this lack of communication. It seems as though the work was done, but I don't know. Again, I'm not a mechanic. Time will tell, I suppose, and some lessons are expensive ones. read more

Whew, saw these guys were getting slaughtered on the reviews so was hesitant but mechanics were repeatedly recommending Seyfers as THE place to go for classic car mechanics. They weren't kidding. The vehicles these guys are working on are impressive to even lay eyes on, and the service I got was great. The expertise exhibited by the mechanic Justin was obvious and everyone was friendly and helpful. I am going to keep using them for sure! They did an inspection on a 77 Dodge for me which is modern for the stuff they work on, but I haven't found anywhere else I would take a classic in the area. Thumbs up!! read more

Had previous work done on another vehicle and they did good work at a fair price. So I took my truck in this last March for an alignment. I was quoted $69 initially. Over a two day period, I was told I needed a steering pitman arm because the spleens were worn. I was quoted $192 for parts and labor on that. I wonder if it really needed replacing because I crawled underneath the truck and looked at the old one before they took it off. I did not see any signs that anyone had touched as it was still covered with grease and dirt, untouched. I have since thrown the old part away so no way to really tell. I still wonder how they came up with that conclusion. On the second day, I received a call that my truck was done and in alignment. The end bill was $449.98. I was pretty shocked at the bill and they told me the tech had some difficulty because Chevy put "tabs" on the upper arms that when the tabs are knocked loose, then the truck can be fully aligned. I would have been fine with that and understand that this can happen. However, the truck drove the same damn way it did before I took it in to Seyfer for the alignment. So I took my truck to the Chevy dealer and had them check the alignment. They found the left Camber to be out of limits and both the left and right Toe to be "way" out of limits. They realigned my truck and it drives down the road just fine now as it should. My total bill at the Chevy dealer was $89.95. Lesson learned. The Chevy dealer may not be the cheapest, but every time I've had them work on my truck it has been fixed right the first time. I was hoping to find an auto shop close to me I could rely on, but that is not the case in this instance. Needless to say, I will not be taking anymore of my vehicles to Seyfer. On a side note, maybe the machine they use for alignment needs recalibrating because I have the computer printout from both Seyfer and Chevy and the Chevy printout showed where the problem was. read more

I took my truck in for an electrical issue, they told me it was fixed. I payed them went to my truck which was dead. The mechanic came out farted around with the voltage regulator then had to jump it. He then took it to the back with the hood up and sprung the hood hinge. He adjusted the voltage regulator said it was fine. I took it home woke up the next morning for work and again it was dead! Long story short I wouldnt let this shop work on a toy lawnmower!! read more

I would've gone elsewhere. Instead they just did the work and I had to pay more. They said there was nothing they could do about it. They don't stand behind their work. I paid $260 in labor. The reattached a fuel hose that needed to have the end trimmed first so it wouldn't leak, and then they didn't tighten the hose clamp fully. I was left stranded in downtown Denver, in traffic, until a mobile mechanic came to help get me going again. Another $100. Seyfer's response? Tough Sh_t. Don Sr., simply didn't even want to have a conversation about it. It was clearly their fault, and he knew it, but dodged it completely. They charge big, but don't back up the work. These guys are excellent!!! I was on a round trip road trip from Boston to Denver and suspected I had a problem with a front axle. They were able to get me in very early the next day and work was completed by mid-late morning. Price was reasonable.......and probably 15%- 20% cheaper than similar work I had performed on the other axle in the Boston area. That wasn't even the best thing. They checked the air in the tires and noticed a leak in the right front tire. There was a screw in the tire but unfortunately, upon further inspection realized the tire could not be repaired or patched as it was too close to the rim. Although I had to travel to Boulder that afternoon to get a new tire, I was just relieved that I wasn't stuck in the middle of NE with a bad tire as I was heading east to Boston the next day. Phew!!! Thanks Seyfer's for a wonderful experience. My kids live down the street and I know they will go there in a heartbeat!!! read more

Took in my 14 focus st for a WMI kit install, when I finally after 3 working days went to retrieve my car there was a large chunk of front bumper cover missing due to being severely mistreated or whatever they did to it along with many more smaller scratches and notches taken out of the plastic bumper cover, and know for a fact it wasn't me because I rarely drive the car and they mark all damage before working on vehicles to prove it wasn't their fault and mine wasn't marked, of which they had no answer for except complete lies and just said they didn't do it , treated me like a clueless 90 year old woman (no disrespect ladies, just know how auto mechanics take advantage of you). Then I noticed two 6 inch cuts in each fender well just forward of wheels, of which they didn't even try to repair, because I believe I have no back and am very disabled, I guarantee if it was a new corvette, Porsche, Ferrari, etc. they would not have let the car ever leave their shop. I'm not a confrontational person so I just covered up the cuts in the wheel wells with my own money. Plus they charged my nearly twice what snow Inc. said it should cost for install, if I wasn't living in constant severe pain, either they wouldn't of taken advantage of me or I would fight back legally if all my money didn't go to doctors and meds. Just want you all to know beware of seyfer auto because as you can see, they screwed me over good and I still may follow up legally after my next surgery!! read more
