During the course of my local travels, unbeknownst to me, My 2006 Pathfinder developed a transmission fluid leak at the hose which connects to the radiator/transmission cooler. The car began to lose power even as the engine revved higher. I just was barely able to limp home at 20 mph . After discovering the leak, and fixing it, I added trans fluid to the fill line and the car seemed to drive normally. However, I couldn't be sure whether damage had occurred to the transmission. I called several transmission repair facilities and picked AC Transmissions on Federal Blvd. I spoke with Chris S., one of the shop owners. He was an excellent source of information and courtesy. The AC shop provided an inspection of the transmission free of charge, then told me that they found no damage and that the car's transmission was fine. There was absolutely no charge. Based on my interaction with AC Transmissions, I believe them to be honest and fair. As I understand it, two of the repair technicians have each at least 35 years of experience repairing transmissions. Thank you, AC Transmissions ! I would recommend these guys any day of the year. Excellent service. read more

This shop was recommended by John at Performance Plus in Golden and he is a pro. I have a 140k mile '03 C5 Corvette, I think I had a transmission fluid change done at under 100K miles, but it was definitely due for another. Brian said they don't flush the fluid which as I've been told can loosen up caked gunk in the tranny and cause issues, he just heats it up, drains it thoroughly overnight, then pulls the pan to change the filter etc, then close it up, run it and, then drain a second time. Sounded good to me! The tab was $450.00 which I'll admit surprised me but to know it's done right and it's good for many miles to come - ok by me. And you gotta love a guy that owns an SL Mercedes 12 cylinder monster. Great shop, great guy, highly recommend. read more

Customer service was amazing. Derek spoke with me for 30 minutes about my car before me even handing it over to them. Then when they got it, the talked with me through the entire process. Very pleased on how my car feels, runs, and the communication! I will continue to send my car here for maintenance. read more

They do excellent work and kept us informed. Quality of work is good. We take all of our vehicles here.

Can't thank AC Transmissions enough! They were able to diagnose and rebuild the transmission on my Ram 3500 super fast and they communicated super well with me the whole time. They clearly know their stuff, and did a great job beefing up my 68RFE for the same price any other shop would have charged for a basic rebuild. Very happy, and would go back again! read more

AC Transmission Center - Auto Repair Near Me - Denver, Colorado

I took my 2002 Duramax Into A C Transmission Center for them to look on my transmission which was banging between 2 and 3 gear. My check engine signal was on. Dereck and crew called me and told me it was something and I told them to repair it since I have been taking my families vehicles to ACTC for a while. To my surprise I get a call from them telling me they scanned again and found it was not what they thought it was before. They reprogramed the module and reset some updates and it is working great now. I did not have to have anything replaced and they did not charge me. In this world now we do not see such honesty .I highly recommend AC Transmission Center and will continue to bring our vehicles read more

No one ever wants to spend money repairing cars, but having reliable places that you can trust is so important. I was referred to AC Transmission Center by a neighbor to get my son's Ford Focus fixed, and I am happy that we took it here. Derek and his team were in constant communication with me, explained what was going on, and did a great job troubleshooting things. I would highly recommend this shop. They provide a great warranty on their work, and the cost was what I had expected based on research. read more

I had been having transmission issues on a manual Jeep, where it would pop out of gear. They were able to get me in very quickly. Once they diagnosed the issue they called to provide the options, all of which are reasonable. They then fixed the issue at a reasonable price. A few weeks later, one of the new parts on the fix broke. I called to explain the issue, and they were highly apologetic and offered to fix it under warranty, free of charge. I was very grateful that they stood by their work, even when a part they could not control was the reason for the failure. I would go back for any future transmission issues. read more

If you are looking for and honest and reliable mechanic I can't recommend AC transmission high enough. If the job is not their specialty they will help you find the right place to go. If it is in their realm of service you can trust it will be done right and for a fair price!!! Look no further for a dependable mechanic! read more

Honest, friendly, and incredibly professional. The guys at AC Transmission and Total Car Care made me feel welcome and comfortable as a young woman who knows very little about cars. They even washed my car after discovering a significant oil leak. They care about keeping you as a customer rather than charging you as much as they can. They've been in business for decades and you can tell it's because of excellent leadership and commitment to quality work and service. 10/10 - great experience and results! read more

I brought my truck in because my transfer Case was not engaging. I've been going to this place 46 years. They now have a new ownership who does terrible business for their customers. When I brought my truck home. I couldn't test the 4 wheel drive to Feel If It Was Engaging Fully. So I waited until it snow. When it snowed. I went to loveland and got stuck on a pass because the truck was not engaging. I then brought it back to a c transmission it left it there. Everything was working except for engaging fordwell drive. I didn't get a call two hours later, saying we got a problem from the owner Telling me to come in we got a problem. Human is technician must have been running. My truck really fast and blue. The CV joint into my rim and blew my room entire out. And he did not want to pay for it. He said that was on me when it broke on his property while his technician was testing it. He wanted to charge me $780 to replace a cv joint. I took it elsewhere and got it fixed 42 hundred dollars. My rim cost me five hundred thetire cost another three hundred. My 4 wheel drive is not engaging. Still, and he won't give me back the $1500 that he charged me to do it. And then set me on my way with a broken rim and a busted tire. This guy has the poorest business in denver I recommend not using this guy. I for sure I'm taking his a** to Adams County court where he will learn real quick how to do business.-0 stars For this robber within the law he thinks read more

Derek and Larry are two of the best in the buisness. My transmission went up in my Ram 2500 and Derek answered all of my questions happily and dealt with my warranty company without me having to say a word to them. Couldn't recommend AC transmission more. Honest, friendly, and efficient. read more

It was very easy to set up an appointment to get my Jeep looked at here. The men that helped me out were easy to talk to and seemed incredibly helpful and honest regarding the nature of repairs for my transmission. While I hope to never have use a place like this again, I will definitely be coming back here if there are any more issues down the line! read more

I was mistaken with what was wrong with my car (I don't know a bunch about cars) and this place had great reviews so I figured it'd be good to go there. Most shops take advantage of young people that don't what they're doing, but they didn't. They politely told me that it wasn't what I thought it was and gave me advice on how to fix the real issue. They didn't charge anything. I went there expecting to spend money and didn't because they're so transparent. Would absolutely recommend. read more

Great customer service. Very happy with work.performef. I will use them again in the future.

WOW! I cannot recommend AC Transmission enough!! I am always hesitant of taking my car to a new shop because I always feel like I'm being taken advantage of and walk out paying an asinine amount of money for things I don't technically need. That was the exact opposite here. I had originally brought my car in for an odd sound it was making and an oil change. The gentlemen over at AC Transmission went above and beyond to diagnose the issue, walk me through their process of repair step-by-step and answered ALL of my questions. From the beginning to end of my transaction, they were kind and completely transparent. Not sure you can ask for more from an auto repair shop. Thank you for restoring my faith in the automotive industry! read more

BEST SHOP HANDS DOWN! I will never use another repair shop - Mike at AC transmission is incredibly responsive, straight forward, and reliable. They sent a tow truck to my vehicle, did the legwork to investigate a potential recall, repaired the vehicle in record time, and sent timely updates throughout the process. I cross referenced their repair cost with the Ford dealership and these guys gave me a great deal for great work. I took my car back months later for an undercarriage repair and they detailed all damages within a few hours plus sent me pictures in case I needed body work. These guys are seriously the best!! read more

Amazing team at A/C transmission! They were able to test and diagnose the issue with my car in a very timely manner. I was worried it was the transmission, but luckily the team found out it was a much simpler fix. I would recommend this crew to anyone. read more

My Jeep was having various difficulties, I could not figure out what was wrong with my car. I had taken it to a couple other mechanics who wanted to charge me for various parts and labor. I remembered have positive interactions with Chris and his staff, so I called AC and dropped my vehicle off on a Friday afternoon. They not only kept my car safe over the weekend, they identified the problem with my vehicle, saved me lots of money on replacing parts I did not need. They will always be my call in the future. read more

Avoid at all costs. This business has been ripping people off for 50 years. They swap your transmission with another and call it rebuilt. Way over priced, and dis honest. When I confronted the shop with questioning about the transmission that was replaced, he was offended. My transmission was suppose to be rebuilt not replaced. Mark your transmission before you turn your vehicle into a shop that is suppose to only rebuild and keep the case. Avoid this business. read more

Great customer service! They do amazing service and I don't feel like I'm getting over sold!

This place is great!!! Took my truck in and they gave me the best deal in town. They told me if there are any issues bring it back and we will take care of it. I took it back because something wasn't sounding right and they took care of it and were very professional. It is hard finding a good mechanic that isn't trying to screw you. Highly recommend this place. Great service and they stand behind their work!! read more

I have an old GMC truck that I rely on for trips to the mountains. Last year my Transfer Case imploded. I took it to some cheap place and a week later they hadn't even ordered the parts! I took the box what used to be my T-case to these guys. No BS at all. They took a look at it and called me back the same day. Detailed the cost and repairs. It was done in two days. Runs great.... Now my Transmission is toast. Called them up. Dropped it off the same day. Called me back promptly giving me my options. Fixed it before the weekend! The old beast runs great now. If you want cheap go to some chain garage by the mall. If you want it done right. Go here! read more

Very disappointed with the experience I had with these mechanics. They overcharged me under-delivered on service, and immediately provided excuses when the car didn't work 2 weeks after having them work on it. I had a car towed to them for a clutch replacement that cost $919 total, and was told the job was under warranty. I was told to bring it back if there was any problems and that this place would take care of me and stand by their work. Well 2 weeks later I hop in my car to go to work and lo and behold the clutch didn't work. I called and left a message for them expecting a call, but since they already had my money the service was considerable slower and not helpful. I ended up calling them and got the run around from the get go. I was immediately told what all else it could be rather than a helpful, lets get this thing fixed. I towed the car back to the shop myself and was called immediately with a quote to replace cylinders that were leaking now, but supposedly not leaking 2weeks before when they had it in their shop. I was quoted a price of almost $400 parts and labor included, to fix it. Needless to say I called a competitor up the road from these guys and had the parts replaced for $100 less than AC Transmission quoted me. I let AC Tramsmission know that I was having the work done for $100 dollars less than they quoted me and rather than offer to match their competitor I was told that their competitor probable was going to use cheap parts. Bottom line, this shop like so many others makes big claims on customer service but when put to the test they fail miserable. read more

STOP! If you are in need of any small repairs roll right on by. I can't speak to their transmission work but trust that you will pay through the nose for labor at this shop. I endeavored to do the work myself and found I could accomplish the task with only hand tools in a third of the time they quoted me. I recommend it if u are able. read more

These guys really took care of my car I have a Nissan Murano that I bought foolishly without doing research and the year I got apparently has a lot of problems with the transmission so they diagnosed the transmission issue for free that was perk number one then they were able to change the transmission in just three days and get me on a payment plan so I could pay the balance of the work they did it did act a little funny after I picked it up but I called them took it back and they looked at it again got the problem resolved right away so now my vehicle is running perfect I really appreciate the hard work and special attention they showed to my problem I have two kids another on the way and they did everything they could to make me feel welcome and safe with there work I would definitely recommend them to everyone who needs work done read more

So I have an older model Ford with 240,000 miles, I moved here from out of state and pulled a trailer out here so I figured when I was having some issues with vibration and roaring that my transmission was about to fail. I took my truck to AC Transmission an spoke with Dave, he said let me have it for an hour or so and I should have a diagnosis. Low and behold it wasn't the transmission but the driveshaft yoke was bad, just moving here and getting started again has taken almost all my resources so when I heard that it wasn't an expensive fix I was overjoyed. Other shops would have tried to take advantage of someone in this situation, but not these guys. Great experience and highly recommended. read more

One of the most honest shops I have ever dealt with Dave and Larry Great Job you have one of if not the cleanest shops in Denver and some of the best mechanics. Thanks! read more

Horrible! Charged 400 to inspect the transmission, said it was two front pads in the trans needed to be replaced and wanted 1000 to repair. This was the second time , as the warranty expired after 1 year. The original repair for rebuilt was 2500. Transmission, was different from what was installed. I called out the owner Larry on this issue, remainders they just clean the transmissions..? Avoid this place, in business for 50 years ripping people off. read more

Larry and Dave were nothing but gentlemen and professionals when I brought my car to them for a "shuddering" issue it has. They were quick to diagnose this as a a well documented Ford issue with this type of transmission (DPS6) and suggested I check possible recalls with a local Ford dealer. I brought my car into a local Ford dealer yesterday and there are 2 recalls "transmission related" and they will service the car in 2 weeks. I am hopeful this service for the recalls will resolve the car issue. I sincerely appreciate the honesty Larry and Dave exhibited and would highly recommend them for your transmission needs ... plus, cleanest shop I've ever seen, which says a lot! read more

Nice guys, I was just back in town after having recently moved out of state and dropped the car off and then walked home and got to see them test driving the car very responsibly which was comforting to me. I had called about 10 different places trying to find someone who didn't charge $200 for a transmission flush, and when I called A C I was told it would be $120 for a transmission flush but then when they called to confirm the price before performing the work it was upped to $200 but I had to be on the road to Kansas City the next day so I pulled the trigger on that. About $70 for the transfer case service which is very fair, but $91 for an oil change with an MG filter (O'Reilly's price leader) which was a bit of a kick in the crotch to me. Four stars though because responsibility while test driving is a huge deal to me, no one forced me to say yes to those prices I just didn't have a choice if I wanted to get on the road, and they're great guys I could hear them on the phone every time I came in and we all hate transmission problems right I am sure these guys get yelled at all day but all three workers I talked to were in great spirits every time I talked to them. read more

I was in a terrible position. My car was stalling out after a previous shop worked on my car. Also several other repairs in the weeks previous. Also on the biggest snow day of the year.
