I came to them after an awful experience at a different shop and they listened well, immediately took my car for a test drive to figure out what was wrong, took 'before' pictures, and sent me a detailed estimate. Doing the work, they went the extra mile and replaced screws that previous mechanics didn't bother to reattach, they fixed the problem in 1 day, and they saved me $2000 by alerting me to a coolant issue that due to a recall, VW will fix for free. I absolutely cannot thank this company enough for saving me when I had a faulty battery on my Audi S3. They managed to squeeze me in the day I called and kept me updated through the delivery of the battery and when my car was done. They did a complimentary overlook of my car and found that I had a broken seal on one of my injectors. I had previously brought my car to a different mechanic because I kept smelling a strong fuel odor and the mechanic said he couldn't find anything wrong with the car and didn't smell the fuel odor. I'm pretty sure that mechanic only checked if my car was throwing codes. I'm very grateful Salta has found the issue and I'm looking forward to bringing in my car for my January 31st appointment. If I could give the 10 stars, I would. We were traveling across the country and our VW would not accelerate. The dealerships in the area could not see us for at least a week. Martin said he was not sure they could help us but would try. We arrived they looked at it and Joseph said that he had a free 1/2 hour and that he would try. 3 hours later it was completely fixed!!! They spent time explaining EXACTLY what they were doing. Honest, clear explaining and genuine interest in people is what makes this an amazing place. They even made sure we got lunch! After all that we were only charged for an hour of work! They could have changed us thousands of dollars but were completely fair. Love the dogs too! Had a great first experience at Salta - and would happily choose this garage for future car needs. Prior to me making my appointment, I called and asked Steve some questions on the types of oil they use/recommend, how often I should come in (I was switching my Jetta from Synthetic to what they recommended), etc. They were incredibly knowledgeable about the oil, my car, etc. I appreciated the time they took to in depth explain to me the entire process - something that is rare at your average dealership. When I brought my car in, they took it for a minute test drive and had it in the garage and getting worked on within minutes of me arriving. I went back to where they were working on my car, and one of the auto-specialists, Joe, explained everything to me. He answered all my questions, and gave me advice - as I am new car owner and am starting to learn about maintenance, good brands regarding parts, etc. It comforted me knowing that my car was in good hands, and that things weren't being forgotten or done in a half-ass manor. Price wise, my oil change was thirty to forty dollars less than my dealership and about 50 less than another VW shop in the Denver area that I was considering. I can bike home after dropping the car off 2. I told them what the dealer had most recently recommended. They did a free first time visit, nothing was needed that the dealer suggested, and they found stuff that was far more impressive to me. They did more than a simple open the hood take a peak. 3. they presented the recommended repairs as distinct pieces so we could pick and choose what we did that visit. That's awesome. I've taken my Jetta in twice, and each time the employees at Salta have been friendly, efficient and honest. Both times they returned my car to me on time and in proper working order. After my second visit I noticed an odd sound coming form my car a couple days after it was in the shop. They told me to bring it in and fixed the problem right away. a minor fix. Are they the cheapest around? No. But you get what you pay for and it's most certainly been worth the extra cash because they don't cut corners. There are three essential services everyone needs in life: a good doctor, a great accountant and an exceptional mechanic. Salta Service & Performance exceeded my expectations (not the easiest of tasks to accomplish). After several weeks (seven to be exact) and thousands of dollars later at another shop (5280 Motorsports), I took the car to Salta Service & Performance. Steve diagnosed and corrected the problem w/in two days. While diagnosing the issue, Steve disassembled the steering system and noticed a few items that 5280 did not install/adjust properly. Steve properly reinstalled/readjusted as well as replaced the power steering pump (5280 did it twice). I've been to several Audi mechanics in the Denver area and Salta is the only shop I can recommend. I take very good care of my car and I expect a mechanic to be more knowledgeable than myself. Not only are the guys at Salta genuinely nice, but they're professional, extremely knowledgeable and less expensive than some of the other shops in the area.
