Toyexus was recommended by a local shop. My decades-old Tacoma was in need of a manual transmission rebuild. They did an excellent job!

Had an excellent service at this shop. I don't know anything about cars so my boyfriend took care of business and talked to the mechanic after we got the diagnostic. My boyfriend has previously worked on cars at a garage, and said that they knew what they were talking about and the price for my car to get fixed was very reasonable. My best friend has also gone to this place and had a great service. read more

I can't say enough good things about Toyexus in Denver. They've done service, repairs, and brakes for both my Honda Pilot (terrible car BTW) and my Toyota 4Runner (the best car Toyota ever made). Damon is knowledgeable, informative and experienced and the front desk employee Wendy is quick to respond and answer questions. read more

Fast service, nice staff, fair prices. Always trust that I'm not getting cheated here.

I'm from California, I asked them to do a pre purchase inspection on a 2006 lx470 that I ended up buying based on their nearly glowing review of it. they stated that the timing belt needed to be changed (already knew that), and the AHC pump was leaking and recommended a $3500 conversion to a conventional suspension system, but it was drivable. I flew out and bought it based on this inspection. come to find out on my lengthy drive home, the alignment was really off, making it difficult to control, which they said it drove fine, one valve cover gasket is leaking that wasn't mentioned, the body control modual has issues (door locks not working when the key is off, trip odometer resets every key cycle, dome light doesn't turn on with the key off), and scariest of all, I made it home to find 2 lug nuts had come off during the drive! I bought two lug nuts, torqued them to spec., and torqued everything else, I found 3 other loose lug nuts!!! I'm lucky to be alive. the hood struts were worn out, so i bought some new ones for $40, I was replacing one and saw that it was leaking down on the AHC pump. it was very evident to me that the AHC pump was fine and they would have taken me for $3500 on a suspension replacement I did t need. I'm left wondering...what did they actually look at?? get second opinion, I don't trust these people. read more

I'm very picky about auto shops and Toyexus definitely gets my stamp of approval, whatever that's good for. I dropped my car off a day ahead of time and they were able to get to it ahead of schedule, they fixed the issue at hand and even slapped a 24,000 mile warranty on their work. They didn't try to up sell me, they sold me on appropriate intervention for the issue at hand. They are not the cheapest mechanic you'll find, but also not the most expensive. That said I think the value is definitely there because I trust the work, it was done quickly in a quality way, and with no corners cut. They used OEM parts which gets huge points from me as a Toyota nerd. I asked them to put on OEM parts and their response indicated to me that this was the plan all along. If you want discount work look elsewhere. If you want quality work at a fair price with reasonable recommendations then this is the place. I trust them and already called them to do some more work for me. Good stuff. read more

personal property tampered with and I was charged for a service I didn't not know was being done.

Best mechanics and staff I have ever encountered. I only bring my cars here, and have been a customer for eight years. Incredibly kind, honest and knowledgeable. Amazing people, amazing shop. read more

First time was there on short notice to replace a dead battery, appreciated them working around my schedule and the quick turnaround time. Second time though, brought my car in to check out a clicking noise coming from the front driver side wheel. Toyexus told me the front axle was broken and quoted almost $700 to fix it. That was a lot higher than the average cost to fix the axle, plus what they told me when I asked questions was really vague, so I went to a Toyota dealership for a second opinion. Turns out the wheel weight had come loose in the front left tire. Basic rotation and balance for the dealership to fix it, clicking noise is gone now. Nothing wrong with the axle at all and nowhere near the $700 Toyexus quote. *Would note also that at the time of writing this, 8 bad reviews for this business have been marked as "not recommended" by yelp and are not being counted towards the mechanics average rating. So 4.5 stars is a high estimate. read more

Made an appointment a week out for brake pads and rotors asked them how much it was going to be and how long it was going to take for them to complete the job. We set the appointment and when I got there I was filling out a form and the guy mentions that he doesn't have the parts for my car? I'm like really? I made this appointment a week ago no one mentioned that they needed parts. He tells me that he didn't know I was going to show up? Seriously who does business like that??? Don't take your car to someone who gives shady excuses and can't admit they dropped the ball! Terrible! read more

Great service! Took the car to Manh to get the oil changed. The wait wasn't long! Highly recommend

They were very expensive for simple repairs. Charged me $70 over the quote. I read the other reviews and it sounds like a different place. I will find another place to go even though they are very conveniently located. read more

Took the Lx 470 here for a noise coming from the engine and also did a new timing belt. Customer service and work done to the vehicle is beyond exceptional. Very happy to have found these folks. Highly recommended. Thanks Toyexus! read more

I've had nothing but great experiences with Toyexus. April is always super helpful. I totally agree with the other top review, this is not a discount mechanic. However, their price is more than fair for the quality of their work. Highly reccomend! read more

In preparation for a big family road trip, brought my car to Toyexus for the once over. The last thing we needed was to be surprised on the road. The team gave me a fair and honest quote on the work to be done. They also advised me on possible work to be done in about six months. Got the work done sooner than I expected. Now, we are all set for our road trip. April and Paul are awesome to deal with. I've been going to them for the past few years and have yet to be disappointed. Toyexus is an exceptional repair shop. I would recommend them to anyone with a Subaru or Toyota. Highly recommend. read more

Hallelujah! There are still kind people willing to help a person that is truly in a bind. April and the crew at Toyexus are these types of lifesavers. My driver side door unexpectedly wouldn't lock. I was leaving on a trip and didn't want to leave my car on the street unlocked. Images of slick thieves rooting through my car ---or worse-- trashing my old but beloved vehicle kept going through my mind. I called quite a few places closer to home and no one could help me. One auto repair place said to call back in November! Really? When I called Toyexus and explained my situation, kind-hearted April said she would make it work. And low and behold my car lock was fixed that very same day. April you rock! Sending you and the crew at Toyexus a big fat THANK YOU and all the good karma that is surely coming your way for helping me out... read more

Me and my girlfriend just moved to Denver. We drove my FJ Cruiser straight from Los Angeles, CA. Unfortunately upon arrival I noticed 3rd gear grinding. I knew this wasn't going to be good. I had no one to refer me to a trusted mechanic here so I did a google search. Toyexus came up with great reviews so I gave them a call. I had a pleasant conversation with Paul (owner I believe) and explained to him what was going on. I brought my truck in and a couple days later he gave me a run down on what was wrong. Basically the transmission needed to be replaced. Bummer. I went ahead and had them do the job. I got a quote from the Toyota dealership as well, and Toyexus was actually able to do the job cheaper. When I got my truck back it was in great shape; new clutch and transmission were perfect. Paul runs an A+ business here. I'm wary of going to new auto shops. I know all the basics of auto mechanics, but like a lot of people I'm always worried about getting ripped off. I am happy to report that I did not experience this at Toyexus. Paul is easy going and took the time to explain to me in detail what was going on with my truck, which I appreciate. I'll definitely be coming back for future services and also my girlfriend and anyone else I can refer. These guys are great! read more

brought the honda in for a simple inspection of one of my pulleys. on the phone they told me $55 and then when dropping the car off i mentioned there was also a clicking sound near my axel and if they could check that out as well. i specifically asked if it was still $55 after all that. the front desk guy said "yes" and i watched him write "$55" down on my work sheet. then when picking up the car, the charge was $88. completely annoying. it's deceitful shady stuff like this that sadly gives all mechanics a bad rap. so the moral of this story: i don't recommend this place but if you must go there be sure to keep an eye on them and be super on top of questioning them about the cost of every little thing they do or they will surely over charge you like they did me. read more

I made a bad car purchase over a year ago. Paul and David were extremely helpful and insightful during that tough time. I could never thank them enough for what they did for me. It's hard to find a mechanic that does not take advantage of you and is 100% trustworthy. I have since sold the bad vehicle and moved on to a much newer and nicer vehicle and I refuse to give anyone else my business. read more

I would NOT recommend taking your vehicle here. I don't see where I can select negative stars. I was totally ripped off with the diagnostic fee (they attempted to charg me twice what I was quoted) and they attempted to rip me off further by telling me I needed a new transmission, with a cost of $5500. I took my 2010 Lexus RX350 in for a diagnostic due to the check engine light on and an emissions fail due to the transmission sensor fail notice on their report. Over the phone I was quoted $60 for a diagnostic. I made an appointment for Friday, 4 days prior. When I arrived I asked if they could also check my fuses and any other electronic stuff that may be the cause of my radio not working. They said that would be an extra fee. I agreed. As I awaited them to check me in, they did not show that I was set for an appointment and told me they couldn't get to it until Monday. When I almost walked out the door to go to a different shop they found the appointment. (I should have left at that point with my car.) Later that day they called me with the news that my transmission sensor needed to be replaced (which I already knew by the report from emissions). They then proceeded to explain that the sensor is located on top of the transmission and the transmission needs to be completely removed to do so. Additionally they said that I may as well just replace my transmission completely. Labor 13 hours plus cost of transmission, $5500!!! I knew this was BS because I had already looked in YouTube how to change it and looked up the $280 part for the sensor. When I started to question the guy he began telling me the process to remove a transmission. I promptly let him know that there is no reason to explain this to me, as I had already done this with my father and witnessed it several times. (He made a comment that new cars are different than old ones...assuming my experience was a long time ago) He then pulled over the mechanic who also explained that in order to change the sensor that I need to replace my entire transmission!!! So when I proceeded to pay this"diagnostic" fee, he gave me a total of $240!!!! (Thats even more than the times 2 for also the radio...which I know they did nothing...he told me they would have to RIP apart the dash to diagnose....so WHAT are they charging me for w the diagnostic???) I asked what happened to the $60 quote. After some discussion he reduced it to $140! They didn't DIAGNOSE anything!!!! I took my car to A & M Motorsports and he confirmed that my sensor is located where every other sensor is, on THE BOTTOM of my transmission. He charged me $0 for diagnosis. And he completed the work in 1.5 hours, changed my oil and charged me $530 for parts and labor. That is a great mechanic I highly reccomend. DO NOT go to Toylexus....TOTAL RIPP OFF!!!! read more

What they wrote is a complete lie. I pulled up prices to what they were quoting me to see how much over charged they were on just parts alone. My calipers where just fine nothing seized or wrong with them. The grinding was the warning brake pads have as they wear down. Long story short they were liars and almost thieves. I spoke to 3 mechanics one including the Toyota dealership who all agreed with what was truly going on and I had the work done by the dealership that was not outrageous and didn't lie to try to sell over priced parts. I have the invoice for repairs done if anybody would like to see it? read more

Toyexus is probably the best mechanic I have gone to for my 04 RAV4. As a woman I am often scared to go to mechanics because I have been burned by mechanics before and have overpaid for a repair that probably wasn't necessary. I came into Toyexus with a routine oil change and to diagnose the check engine and vsc light. I knew from previous findings that it was the catalytic converter, and I've had issues prior where another auto shop in Aurora tried to use this as a way to make a ton of money on me. What Toyexus did was amazing, they gave me an affordable oil change, waived the diagnostic fee and also gave me an honest assessment of wether or not at this point getting a catalytic converter is worth it. David was phenomenal in checking around town for an affordable converter but at the end of the day told me that it may not be worth it to get one because the value of my car is less than that part itself, and I truly appreciated his honesty. He did not use this information to try and rip me off and tell me that I needed it. Instead he told me that it won't effect how I drive and that it may be better to sell eventually. This is definitely going to to be my go to mechanic from now on. read more

I have been going to Toylexus for about a year now for my routine oil changes and maintenance. I am always impressed by their work ethic, technical capabilities, and their transparency. My car broke down and I got it towed to their shop. Anthony and Paul were very accommodating and responsive with my questions. Paul ran the diagnostics and informed me that he wasn't able to fix it at their shop. He proactively called another mechanic, as well as provided me with two quotes. He waived the diagnostic charge and ended up saying me close to $3,000. I really appreciated Paul's feedback and recommendation for how I should approach the problem. He spoke to me with respect and wanted to help me fix the problem, whether that be at his shop or a competitors. I highly recommend Paul and Anthony at Toylexus for any of your car issues, big or small. They take pride in their work and value their customers. read more

I brought my 1997 4Runner into Toyexus because a vibration started to occur between 50-60mph. With 288K miles on the truck you can't be too cautious. After 2 days and a couple hundred bucks they told it... it's just my tires (tires only had 8K miles on them). I'm not the most car savvy person, but I knew that it had to be more than the tires because the vibration was much worse when I applied the gas. After having a second mechanic look at the problem he replaced my u-joints and the problem nearly went away... but not quite. The vibration was still obvious between 50-65mph so I avoided the highways as much as possible until I could get a third opinion. The third opinion was never necessary because last month while driving (luckily only 20mph)... my passenger side ball-joint snapped and the wheel fell completely off (then the vehicle drove over the wheel). It was a pretty violent crash that totaled the vehicle. The tow truck driver said "I've been doing this for 20 years and have never seen anything like this". read more

Typical shady service station. $550 for spark plugs. Initial quote $200. They Said it took 3 hours, but I live across the street and saw it took only 1 hour. No point in arguing with them, they have your car and you gotta pay. But, if I prevent even one person from going there, it was money well spent. Imagine ripping off a customer that lives ACROSS the street! Don't go there. Go anywhere BUT there. Should have changed my plugs myself. For that, I am to blame. I brought my 02 Tacoma here after it wouldn't start from turning the key nor from getting a jump one morning before work. I suspected this was a starter issue. Toyexus failed to diagnose the starter problem the first time, saying instead that all it needed was a new battery and cable termination. Another shop successfully diagnosed and repaired the faulty starter solenoid, after I'd towed my truck to and from Toyexus and spent $200+ on a new battery and terminals and the majority of an evening installing it. Then they told me that their diagnosis of my starter hadn't included the solenoid bc for some reason that was out of the scope of work I'd requested when I asked them to CHECK THE STARTER. read more

Took my 4runner here since I was hearing some brake noise and this place has great reviews. I also knew new brakes meant new rotors since they were too thin to machine again. I expected it to be pricey but still a little shocked so I called another shop and they were pretty close. I ended up choosing a third place that had a brake special online. The reason I'm leaving this place a 1 star review is because the shop I chose said "your front brakes are still around 70% so we are not going to touch them. I'm not going to charge you for something you don't need". It really caught me off guard since that would have been a wasted $450+ had I gotten the work done here. I quoted a few other services I need and the prices do seen reasonable, just be ready to pay to replace parts that are in perfect working condition. read more

They are a solid mechanic and honest. They gave me a discount on a service that I needed because another mechanic did a horrible job. They are reasonably priced for the quality of parts they use( shhh don't tell, but I'm kind of a car geek). They price match and give free oil changes for every referral you being them:) Ohhhh and they are actually worth referring. Some of the other reviews talked about a laundry list but they always give you recommendations... Like the number of a body shop because the car is banged up from living in Capitol hill. I've been a Toyexus customer for 13 years and two cars. They've taken care of me, worked with me to prioritize when I've needed to spread out repairs and overall kept my cars running well. When my husband's high-mileage Subaru needed work, he priced several places and ended up coming here, too. Recently I went to another shop because I needed new tires, and they discovered I needed some suspension work. When I got my car back, it was making a lot of noise - hadn't been the case before. When I took my car back to the other shop, they told me I needed new struts. Took it "home" to Toyexus for a second opinion, and -- surprise, surprise -- there was an issue with the work the other shop had done. The whole experience reinforced how much I appreciate the great service I've gotten at Toyexus. I wish they were open Saturdays, but it's worth scheduling around weekday hours for the peace of mind. read more

Paul is fantastic and honest. Super thankful!!! I am a female and taking my car in for repairs is always scary. I feel like I always get hit for additional unnecessary repairs so when I unexpectedly needed auto help, I was stressed. Here is a summary. I am driving around smelling gas. I think it is probably some other car nearby. All of a sudden smoke starts coming out of my air vents into the car. SCARY! I thought my car was on FIRE! I quickly google shops near me. I quickly find a few shops nearby but again I am so stressed out. How much is this going to cost and will my car even be repairable? I read a terrific review about Paul/Toyexus and call. Paul says to come on by. I go in and meet Paul who tells me I can leave my car and they will call me and let me know what they find. Long story short, the auto shop that did my last oil change (Grease Monkey on N. Colorado) never put my oil cap back on. Paul let me know that they found the cap, washed off my engine and topped off my oil for me. Nothing else was wrong. NO CHARGE! How awesome is that! I will be returning for all my auto repairs and will most definitely refer all my friends & family. ;) read more

This is a solid place. I do miss there old front desk guy as he was meticulous and never missed a beat. Paul the owner is good and honest in every dealing I've had with him over the years. I've been going here for almost 5 years now with an older Toyota. Have had miscommunications with the team but never have I felt taken advantage of... rather the opposite. I'm a bit of a car girl to begin with so I have a little background but they walk me through any questions I have, etc. For those women going in feeling like they are being taken advantage of interview repair shops first before you choose one. Whichever place makes you feel like you're being treated like an equal or like you want to be... go there! Also google stuff and find out more about your auto before you walk into a service agreement. It is not 100% the auto servicer who is required to educate the auto consumer on EVERYTHING; take some ownership especially in something that you use every day to get you safely from one place to another. I would recommend Toyexus to everybody and I do; they give me a free oil change when I refer someone. read more

Honest, honest, honest, honest! I went four wheeling with my kids in Moab and when I came off trail I had a check engine light on, an error light for my traction control on, and my reverse light remained on. I borrowed a code reader from the auto part store and it listed out four codes including a transmission position sensor. It took me a few days to bring the car in and during that time my battery died a few times and needed to be jumped. I had the battery tested and it passed. I took my car into Paul and expected to need transmission work and a new alternator. Paul's team did a thorough diagnosis and root cause analysis and discovered that while four wheeling I smashed the connector for my trailer lights and two of the wires were now touching. They removed the broken connector and everything went back to normal. No more trouble codes or battery issues. A lot of garages would have seen an opportunity to charge me thousands for work that didn't need to be done or for work that was never done at all. Not Paul ... Since I had been a consistent customer of his for years, he didn't even charge me!! Needless to say, he's got a customer for life! read more
