This is my go to shop. First off, they text with you. So nice considering we all have busy lives. I don't have to call to setup a time to bring my car in. I can just text and schedule service. Second, they have loaner cars. They aren't fancy loaners like from a car dealership, but they are clean and they work. Thirdly, they don't talk down to women. I cannot tell you how many places talk down to me, acting like I am too stupid to know anything at all about my car. They are honest and give you a genuine opinion about the repairs they are recommending. You won't feel forced to get repairs you cannot afford, and that may not be 100% necessary. If you have recommended maintenance they will tell you it is recommended, and not make you feel badly if you don't have an extra $500 to drop on something that isn't broken. They are also a small business that remembers their regular customers and treats them well, which is why we keep coming back. Lastly, they are affordable. All my experiences with Auto Service House has been awesome! Steve has always been great and willing to go out of his way to help me out. The first time I had to get a water pump fixed and an axel leak fixed. He gave me a rental car and gave me back my car all fixed the same day. The second time my ac was broken and he found there was a leak, he fixed the leak and sent me on my way. Recently my car wouldn't start and he suggested checking if the battery terminal was fixed, I tightened it up and it fixed the issue. After being taken advantage of by other auto shops, I was very discouraged. When the next problem occurred on my jeep I decided to take matters into my own hands and attempt the repairs myself. When I realized I was in over my head my neighbor referred me to Auto Service House. I was very impressed with the treatment I received. I was treated with respect and my problem was addressed in a timely fashion. The owner even went personally to the jeep dealership to fix the problem. Three weeks following the repair I received a phone call to make sure I was still happy with the repair. Well if that Ole jalopy breaks down and you live in Southeast Denver, you are out of your mind if you don't bring it here to have it fixed. Whenever I bring my car in, they tell me how long it will take to get an estimate, and how long it will take to get it fixed. usually about 2 -4 hours if they can get the parts and it is not too involved. As I live close by, they always offer to drive me home while it is being fixed! Unlike every other clip joint in town they don't throw a list of 29 things that "should" be fixed at you! If they do mention something, you better listen cause they know their stuff and they care. This is the most honest and reliable auto shop I have ever been to! Steve and the gang are total sweeties! I agree with the above reviewers. This was the second time i have been to ASH, at the beckoning of a co-worker. I have only been there for oil changes (my car is fairly new) but the 2 times i have been in Steve is always polite, and enthusiastic. This guy runs a BUSY shop. I listened to all of the phone calls he received that morning and it was all potential customers wanting him to give a diagnosis on there vehicle---a good sign that Steve does quality work! A woman walked in while i was there for a thermo/heat pump repair and Steve said he would try to get her a refurb so she could save some cash....if that isn't honest, i don't know what is. I would choose NO stars if i could. I thought this place would take care of me but alas I was screwed over. I got my car towed in because it was overheating. I told the owner that I thought it was the radiator. He quoted me like $800 or $900 so I get the money saved up and they begin "fixing" my car. A couple days later I get a phone call telling me that my battery is dead and that I'll need a new one for $200 or $300. What other choice do I have? Finally they tell me my car will be ready to pick up that night once I get out of work. After riding the light rail and the bus for so long I was ecstatic that I would have my car back. They told me that if I wanted to pick it up after work I would have to pay them the $1100 grand total. I give them my credit card info and out goes the money. But do I ever get a fixed car? NO. I get a call at work telling me oh we are so sorry but your'e car is actually totalled because it has a broken/blown head gasket. You're telling me a mechanic doesn't know what a blown head gasket looks like? They had me shell out all this money for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Then to make things worse the owner conviently is going out of town for two weeks starting the day after he tells me all this. He PROMISES he will call me back when he gets back to TRY and make things right but of course he DOESN'T. I have never recieved any type of refund for the brand new parts that were never used and I whole heartedly believe these CROOKS knew that my car was never going to be able to be fixed in the first place. I'm writing an update because my original complaint received a reply from the owner. I just want to clarify my experience and then reply with a rebuttal. Original: 8/5/16 I went in for a fuel pump change. They charged me $343 for labor alone, and a little over $200 for the fuel pump and fuel filter. The national average cost for labor is between $175 and $221. When I went to pick up my car, my car was parked 2 buildings over at a neighboring gas station, and the trunk was wide open. The trunk didn't close before, but I always tie it down. They did change the fuel pump, but I feel seriously disrespected. After I drove it out of Denver, my check engine light came on. I looked under the hood, and it was leaking gas and oil, which it had never done before. I tightened the bolts around the leaks, and some of them were so loose I could tighten them with my fingers. I'm still trying to figure out what happened, but they seem to deny any issue. Response: I was not happy with the work, and their "overflow" parking was not even attached to their building. I accepted the quote because the total price with labor and parts combined was within the national average, but I didn't know that the labor cost was so high, as compared to the price of the part. As an out-of-towner in Denver, I decided to pay it and just get back on the road. Also, they did not fix the car in one day. After the car crash happened, I needed two weeks to come-up with the money, and as soon as I had the money, they were desperate to get it out of their shop, which is probably why when I went to pick it up, it was sitting, uncared for, in a Conoco parking lot, unlocked. Steve says I took the car to several other shops, and that is also a lie. I had my sister's friend look at it, as he helped her take care of her 1994 Nissan Sentra for over 10 years, and he told me to look at it and try a different gas cap to see if it fixes the vapor locking before moving on to replacement parts and costly repairs. He would have gladly monitored it and hooked me up with a deal on the job if I wasn't moving out-of-state. He is the only person I would go to other than the mechanic who looked at my steering wheel column, but I had to see him because I was moving out-of-state, and I did not tell him about the vapor locking and fuel issue because he did not want to work on an older car, and I'm lucky I even got him to agree to work on it in the first place. A word to the wise, when you see mold services and lawyers advertised along with a list of other questionable services at the front counter, that should tell you something about the manner in which your mechanic runs his business. If I ever see that kind of stuff at another shop, I will gladly walk away. Steve acts like I don't know what I am talking about, but I am a somewhat experienced DIYer. I am in the process of installing a heater core, radiator, and thermostat into my cooling system, and I have also replaced a coolant reservoir, alternator, pressure control valve, pcv hose, pcv grommet, brake pads, tires, blower motor fan, turn signals, air filters, fluids, spark plugs, spark plug wires, windshield wiper blades, and other items in the past. I also have military service and am trained as an engineer. Even when I was scared for my life, driving through Grand Junction, I had the skills and abilities to stop the leaks I found after leaving from Steve's. I even feel comfortable enough to replace a steering wheel column, now. Him eluding that I don't know about cars is truly insulting. The only reason I came to him is because I didn't want to drop the tank. I really can't believe Steve. read more

We have taken our Jeep Wrangler here 3 times in the last few years. Once, we needed new tires. Once for a heater coil and most recently for radiator work.
