So...3 years ago my son broke down in Denver, we are from LA and were in a bind but Alpine Euro took care of him. Fast forward to 8/3 and I'm driving thru the Rockies and my newly purchased used BMW X3's service engine light come on. I quickly remembered Alpine Euro and made a call. They said bring it in at 8a next day and we'll get a look at it. I could not have been more pleased with the service I have received from Alpine Auto. The owners did a fantastic job with my two vehicles, and have always been very forthright with with the facts. I took my car into a Midas (?, maybe some other place, can't remember) and had my car serviced, but then something started going wrong with my car's engine so I took it back and they said something about a piston being shot and it would be $200-$400 to repair/replace. I took it to Alpine for them to have a look, and they said that while it's easy to jump to that conclusion, with my vehicles model it was probably something else that made it appear to be this case. I can't remember what it was, but it was still something to do with the piston, so while replacing the piston would have fixed it, my repairs were a fraction of the cost of replacing the piston. They found the real problem, switched out the part, and I drove away in a day. With my truck, my master cylinder went out and a Brakes Plus or Just Brakes told me it would be $500. Alpine did the work for less than half that and 3 years later I'm still driving my truck just fine. I will ONLY take my vehicles to Alpine from now on. Absolutely Amazing I brought my 14 VW EOS in with a busted roof, was told how much the fee to diagnose would be and that they would call me with additional information once they had it. Normal garages would 'try' to fix it or even say it is fixed, charge you an amount, only for you to notice shortly after that the issue is not fixed or to advise you that they cannot but still charge you a fee for 'diagnostics' - That is NOT the case here. They advised me that though they had tried to fix the issue that the issue in question was just too large of a job and would require a VW dealer to completely remove and replace the roof & that there would be no charge for anything they had already tried. They spent at least a day on my car with no charges and were honest about the entire situation, outcome and provided multiple suggestions regarding how I might go about the repairs and explained in detail what they had already done/tried and what still needed to occur. This level of honesty is typically what is lacking in society today and to find it at a garage where historically you expect to be taken advantage of, was very refreshing. Though they could not help me, the level of service, time they took to try and time they took to explain everything will assure I WILL be back for absolutely everything else my VW EOS needs - even though they are 22 miles from our house - I would go out of my way to go see them and recommend them to ANY ONE who wants honest service for their Euro vehicles. As Slawek is intimate with VWs, Euro cars are quite tricky to work on, his knowledgeable hand has saved my old car a few times. Fiona is also super friendly and knows cars as well, so describing car problems to her wasn't painful like some other shops. I am terrible at maintaining my cars. It's just not something I ever think about. However, having my last car fall apart has taught me the error or my ways. I brought my Volkswagen to Alpine Euro to get caught up on the regular maintenance. I was afraid of both the amount of time it would take and the cost as I hadn't done anything since I bought it a year and a half prior and it needed all of its service updates. Fiona in the front office was quick to assure me that it was unlikely to be as bad as I thought it would be and when she called me later that morning to give me a price quote, I was VERY pleasantly surprised. When my car was ready later that afternoon, they were nice enough to stay late so that I could pick up my car and Slawek, the technician, was careful to explain all the work he'd done and what I should do in the future. It's so hard to find a talented auto shop that is reasonably priced and doesn't try to upsell you on stuff you don't need. I grew up working on cars and generally perform maintenance/repairs myself--been burned too many times with other independent shops and the stealerships. Slawek is one of the few people I trust to work on my vehicles: the quality and care of his work is impeccable. More than a few times I've been in a bind and Alpine Euro was able to accommodate my schedule and needs. The worst experience I've ever had!!! And I didn't even get a chance for them to work on my car. David was very nice over the phone. Unfortunately the same could not be said in person by a long shot. I went there and started to tell David the problems with my car, he cut me off and said I don't have time to hear you talk just leave me your keys and I'll try to look at it. I left feeling very uncomfortable about how I was treated. So I went back and told him " it seems like you must be to busy to look at my car?" He told me "well then why don't you just take your keys and leave them. Real nice to a new customer trying to just find a nice honest auto mechanic. Right?!?!?! I have to say- there are not many honest, reliable, experienced and knowledge auto shops out there any more. But I can say Alpine Euro Automotive is an exception to the rule. I first want to say the excellent customer service I always receive at Alpine Euro exceeds all expectations. I have had my car worked on in the past at other European Repair shops, but they always left a bad taste in my mouth. AEA is the only shop I will trust to work on my vehicles- I have a 2001 Saab 9-5 they have taken extreme care with (she's my baby!) they always fix the problem the first time with quality parts and affordably, and never "upsell" you anything you don't truly need. They also do all our maintenance on our Ford E-150 Van, they just replaced the serpentine belt and pullies, at a fraction of the cost the competitors I priced out, and all backed by an excellent warranty.
