Phil came out to me and diagnosed my issue. He was thorough and took his time. Many mechanics rush in order to maximize their time, but Phil is methodical in his work. He even once talked me through fixing a coolant hose on the phone while I was on the side of the road because he was working on a vehicle at the time and couldn't come to me. WHO DOES THAT?! He and his wife even came out to me in a parking lot to diagnose and fix my jeep when it wasnt starting. (I loved that car but, man, did she have a lot of problems). He changed the brakes, the water pump & thermostat, any oil change, and fixed the AC. I appreciate the detailed messages he sends and transparent (and extremely fair) pricing. He never tries to upsell a service that's not needed and shows that he cares about you and your car. I can tell this isn't just a business to him, but a passion for helping people. I've been going to him for any service I need and recommend him to anyone I know who needs service. I now have an Audi Q5 and he can even service that vehicle which is amazing and rare to find. I don't see myself taking any car I own to anyone else. We all need a solid, dependable, honest, and fair mechanic in our crew so go to him. Thank you, Phil!

He came out, took his time, and really worked through it instead of rushing. You can tell he actually cares about doing things the right way. Even though we ended up confirming it's likely a deeper internal issue (3-4 clutch pack), I really appreciated his honesty and thoroughness instead of just throwing parts at it. His pricing was more than fair, especially considering how much time he spent on it. Hard to find someone that detailed and patient these days. Definitely recommend if you need a solid, knowledgeable mechanic who won't cut corners. I will be using him for ANY future needs.

I've had consistently good experiences with Johnson's Automotive and really appreciate their…read morehonesty. About 18 months ago, they repaired my older car after a coolant leak and engine problems. It was a significant amount of work, but the cost was very reasonable, and the repairs held up well. More recently, I brought the car back after a mobile mechanic damaged it while doing other work. Johnson's evaluated the car and was straightforward with me that, given its age and condition, I would be better off replacing it rather than putting more money into repairs. I especially appreciated that they didn't try to sell me expensive work on a car that was no longer worth repairing. Finding a mechanic who does good work is important. Finding one you can trust to tell you when NOT to spend money is even better. Johnson's has earned my trust, and I would absolutely recommend them.

They have been working on our vehicles for 15 years and they were great-until last year! Don't know…read morewhat happened, but it's been 11 months of misdiagnosis, with my truck released in worse shape (3 times) than it went in and parts not secured when replaced. (twice). I had to take my Xterra back 8 times in a year for an average of 2-3 days each time, having the A/c replaced (3 times- the last two under warranty), the radiator replaced, and still having the noise when the ac was on BUT ONLY when the truck shifted gears! Finally, the transmission locked up, nearly causing an accident as I tried to merge onto a busy highway. Then the nightmare really began! After waiting a week for a replacement transmission, which I was fine with, I picked up my Xterra, and the floorboard and front end were vibrating violently. It wasn't shifting properly. By the time I got home, it was "bucking". The next morning, the antifreeze leak that they were supposed to fix while it was in for the transmission was still leaking, and the radiator was missing 2 of the pins that hold it in place. Had to have the truck towed back, and the owner, Scott, told me, "It's a used transmission. You can't expect it to run perfectly." Took him 3 days to personally test drive the truck and realize the replacement transmission was defective. Another week's wait. Then it took them three more days to determine that the vibration was caused by a loose mounting. 30 seconds on Google: "Most likely cause for vibration under the driver's floorboard, worse in drive: LOOSE TRANSMISSION MOUNT. (And it started after they replaced the transmission)! Scott ignored my "request" that a different mechanic work on it than the one who installed the previous transmission. Twenty-eight days after I first brought it in to replace the transmission, for the problem I complained about for a year, I finally got my truck back! Scott did replace my transmission and radiator (that they had replaced last year), which had "suddenly" developed a broken hose connection the day after they replaced the hoses, and a fan bearing for "free." The first two were under warranty anyway. Then he gave me a dirty look when I presented the bill for (two days) rental car that he promised to pay for until my truck was fixed (would have three weeks). Scott apologized profusely, but I still had to fight with them over the prior year, be without my truck for multiple days over that year, and navigate the transport of 3 large dogs for nearly a month. I had to take my husband's CRV back 3 times, demand that two different mechanics test-drive it, once with me in the car, and watch them pull the front wheel to find the broken strut that had been making a VERY loud noise for several months, and that my husband suggested was wrong when he first brought the car in. Instead of inspecting the strut, they replaced the front and rear brakes (which they had installed one and two years, respectively- less than 17,000 miles ago) and a wheel bearing that may or may not have been bad. In order to replace the wheel bearing, they had to go in where the broken strut was. Claimed they didn't see it or hear it on the test drive. Johnsons will NEVER touch my newer Xterra, which I bought when I had no idea if/when I would ever get the old one back. The old one is being donated to a nonprofit because I no longer feel comfortable driving a vehicle whose repairs I don't trust.

I cannot say enough good things about RPM Automotive! The guys at the shop are beyond polite, professional and knowledgeable. I felt they truly cared about me and the problems my vehicle was having. Within a few hours they not only diagnosed the problem I was having with the brakes, but they also told me my request for new rear-brakes was not necessary. They could have changed the brakes in the rear and made some extra money, but instead they chose the high-road. Another example of how awesome they are, there was a loud noise in my Toyota Highlander...the guys at the local big-chain Tire Shop took a test drive with me and told me it was bad tire noise. They quoted me some tires ($900+) but instead of just getting them I thought I would ask the guys at RPM what they thought, after a very short 2 minute test drive, Levi told me I had a bad rear-right wheel bearing...a few hours later the noise is gone and I saved a bunch of money. I love the feeling of leaving the shop and not thinking I was just ripped off. If you're having vehicle problems, give these guys a shot...you won't be disappointed!
