Both times the Miata community waited with bated breath to see if we were losing our specialists... but both Eric and Andrew are real car lovers. Coyote is still a Miata capable shop, from the rusted or time worn original '90 to the brand new. The mechanics who have owned this shop are knowledgeable, professional, honest and work with integrity. I've had many an afternoon getting lost in talking shop here. Current owner Andrew has taken great care of all my vehicles from the 1992 and 93 Miatas, to my headache of a 4th-head-gasket-busting 2nd gen 4-Runner, to my 3rd gen Prius and 3rd gen Tacoma. My mom takes her CR-V to Coyote and he's worked on my sister's needs-to-retire-to-the-junkyard NYC-rusted Toyota Highlander. Subarus and Miatas abound in the shop alongside the full range of modern vehicles. Oil changes to engine rebuilds are all in capable hands here. Communication is exceptional and straightforward, whether you prefer calls, texts or emails - ladies, there's no getting taken for a ride at this shop, they're far more likely to tell you your service isn't needed yet and they'll let you know when it is. Rest assured you're not walking out with a surprise 4-figure bill or work you didn't authorize that was already done. Prices are competitive for the excellent work you will receive from Coyote, and they stand behind their workmanship and parts in case of any issues. Word of mouth brought us to Coyote Motors in March of this year. We brought Blanche, our 2008 Subaru Forester in for a basic check up and oil change. Andrew did the honors and absolutely blew us away with his thorough and astute assessment and attention to every detail. Blanche is our only car and has served us well these past 15 years, and as such she's vital as our sole transportation. The evaluation provided photos and explanations of every component in the car. In addition, Andrew went over anything that might need attention and how best to keep Blanche in peak condition. It was the best experience we've ever had with an auto shop. A month later, we had a disconcerting issue with Blanche's electrical system. We called Coyote and Ari and Andrew quickly figured out the issue over the phone and voila! We were good to go! The previous owner was both an excellent mechanic and a good human being. Now you have to deal with the wife of the new mechanic.. I asked her for some information, and she expected I'd called to discuss a problem. Her response was to attack me. She claimed I did something that I know I did not. (In fact, if I had done what she said, I would have had the information). So - if nothing goes wrong, you might be ok. But don't expect them to treat you with respect or to listen to you, if there is any miscommunication. read more

Honest shop. I called early Friday morning because my Mazda check engine light showed up. They had me in right away just to check it and gave me a very honest assessment. They told me what to watch out for in the future if the check engine light came on given the maintenance code that appeared. They wrote the codes out for me on a card so that I would remember in the future. I felt like they took care of me and we're honest and I don't know what else you could really ask for in a mechanic. If you want honest, technically savvy mechanics to take you Subi or Mazda, this is the place. If you are a Miata enthusiast, they are IMHO the top Miata garage in the Denver/Boulder area. Had my NB Miata in recently to have a stuck bolt removed. They got it right out, noticed an issue with my brakes, and also resolved that while I was there. Very reasonable prices, good work. They seem to see a lot of Miatas. read more

Wolfgang and Eric are awesome! I've brought my Subaru to them twice now and gotten excellent service. They make sure I know exactly what they are doing (showing me the broken parts, etc.) and won't recommend work be done if they know it's not 100% necessary. They've fixed everything from my sunroof and windshield wipers, to putting on new struts and fixing my AC. Always reasonably priced, with accurate estimates. Absolutely amazing service. If you own a Miata (especially NAs or NBs) there is no other place to take it than to Coyote Motors. These guys see well over 200 Miatas a year. I brought a (what I thought was nice) 91 Miata I recently purchased, and Wolf looked over it and saw things I would have never seen. I swear I could have put a penny under the strut tower and he would have found it. He was pointing out missing bolts from obscure places, noticing the rough ride from tire pressure being too high, and many other things. Not to mention very reasonable prices and super honest feed back on what I should have fixed and what I should leave. This will be the only place I will take my Miatas from now on while I'm in the state of CO. read more

These guys were great. I have a 2000 Miata that had a number of small repair needs and I hadn't been happy with either our local Mazda dealers or a national tire chain, both of which I'd used for recent maintenance. The Yelp reviews led me to Coyote and I was extremely happy with the help. Honest, communicative, saved a rotor where I expect another place would have recommended replacement. Wolfgang even helped me get a tire puncture fixed by calling a nearby tire shop, saving me hundreds of dollars (the tire chain said I would need two new tires). I'm surprised this is the first review... they're excellent and are my go-to shop, despite the 30 mile drive from my house.
