Drak completed the job in 40 minutes (very fast!) and also checked me out. Answered all my questions and advised me anything the car might need in the future. Drak was a pro. Unfortunately, we had a misadventure one morning with my husband's back country vehicle at 6am at departure time on a Sunday morning, with it already fully loaded. Dead battery easily diagnosed though it had not given any signs of trouble before though it turned out to have been older than we remembered. Checked the internet and found only this service center open in Boulder on a Sunday. At 9am we reached out to them and in fact they had a battery model charged and ready for this vehicle but no immediate time to install it. We could jump start it with our other vehicle and drop it off and wait for them to do it later in the day. We drove in hoping to convince the staff member to squeeze it in earlier as my husband had a location deadline by dark, knowing it was a simple job if you have the tools and experience. When we arrived, we were informed that all of their morning appointments had arrived on time so they did not know how late they might have to start on it, as they were very low on staff. We were given some instructions on how to do the work ourselves id we were unable to wait. I had the appropriate tools in my stock at home and my husband had done a battery before, but back in the '60s! Given his need to get on the road, we went ahead and did it at home and he had an uneventful day on the road. The battery price was very appropriate. This could have been a five star review had they had enough staff scheduled to cover walk-in customers and other contingencies. They could have done it in 10 minutes apparently so perhaps the staff schedule should include a bit more coverage. We would have gladly paid a premium walk-in service fee for it though we did actually get it done ourselves and the trip schedule was saved, though delayed about 4 hours, mostly waiting for this shop to open.The staff member was polite and encouraging but was unable to find a way to do the job within the hour. Could have been worse had he not been open at all. And we should have been more vigilant on vehicle trip preparation ourselves. read more

Recently I went to there store and they schedule me for next day, my issue was that. At doesn't drive smooth anymore, they charge me $21 fee and couldn't figured out the issue, I went to another car and they said it's alignment and problem fixed, what a waste time and money for no reason, car alignment is basic maintenance and firestone genius can not figured out. read more

Don't make the mistake of booking a tire change through the national office. Even looking up the local (Boulder, CO) store online, we were given a non-local nbr to schedule our tire change. After making arrangements, we brought our car in on the appointed day only to be told they could not see us for another two weeks. Apparently there is no coordination between their call center and the local repair shops. The jokes on us as this has happened to us twice now. Extremely frustrating to make arrangements to drop off our car and then be told "oh, they don't have any idea what our schedule is". Last time we use Firestone. read more

My co-worker is a gracious, hard-working Mexican-American young man from a good family. His father works with us also, and is a fine man. My co-worker recently took his car into this shop to get his tires rotated. A few days later a wheel fell off the car. When my co-worker came back to this shop for some redress, he was told that it was his fault, because a worker at this shop had told him that he had to have his an axle fixed. However, my co-worker did have this axle fixed, before the worker at this shop incorrectly put on the lug nuts. So these guys are in the wrong and are covering for their incompetence. Also, when my co-worker's father was last in the shop, they were very rude to him, even though his English is pretty good. So......why go to this shop and pay for dangerous incompetence? I brought my car into Firestone at the Firestone location for a nail in my tire. I had bought ALL NEW tires from the Firestone in Greeley on Oct 6, 2022 (five months ago). I dropped my car off at 6am and got a ride to Denver for work, and had an appointment for 11am. I called the store at 7 am to only hear the pick the phone up and hang it up right away. After calling the store every 20 minutes to never talk to anyone, finally at 12:30 someone actually answered. I told the man that I left my car there and asked if he could rotate my tires whenever they fix the flat tire.. He stated, "oh yeah so we cant fix that tire because the nail is close to the side wall, since its AWD you need four new tires." I explained to him I had just bought all four new tires, opened a firestone cred card and was not even finished paying them off so I couldn't afford new tires again. He told me there was ONE tire I could you to be in the specs to match my other three tires. I said okay I will do that, but he started quoting me a price... I explained they should be under the warranty. He told me there was no record of me buying the tires with them or being a card holder. After telling him they should be under warranty he told me he would call Greeley and see is they have any record. After an hour he called me back and told me the tires were bought for a 2013 red Mazdaspeed 3. (my old car I sold in 2020). I told him that I didn't own that car last October and I bought the tires for my current car (2020 Mazda cx30 that is GRAY). He rudely replied "well what do you want me to do about that, we have no proof, you can call the Greeley store yourself". Once I called the Greeley store and spoke to the GM he said he would move the warranty to my current car. I asked him to change it in the system and call the other Firestone and let them know to proceed. The GM says "well you can call them and tell them to call me..." as if I have more time to spend playiong phone tag with a location that does not answer their phone. After calling the Firestone my car was at TWENTY TIMES and getting repeatdly hung up on I finally spoke to the man and asked him to call the GM at Greeley, he rudly accepted to do it and call me back. Once he called me back he stated,, "well they will give you the warranty but that wont help because we don't have that tire." He told me there was a Denver location (where I work) that has one. I offered to make my ride back to the store help me go pick up the tire and bring it to them and they can put it on. He replied, "well that doesn't work cause the warranty wont be in the system until tomorrow and they wont just give you a tire?" I asked if he could call them and let them know I was coming to pick up the tire and it is of no charge. He stated, "well I've just never done that before..." I said okay well what can I do to get my car done today because I have to get to work tomorrow and it has been there all day and you never called me or ordered the tire for your 1pm deadline... He said there was a Longmont location with my tire, (in my experience discount tire would have sent a worked to get the tire and put it on but firestone doesnt). then he says, "ya but I dot even know if theyll have time to do it today". I asked him if he could call them and see. he says "uh you want ME to call?". I said "yeah? If the warranty isnt in the system til tomorrow dont you HAVE to call them?" After he calls he lets me know they can do it today. I went to pick up my car, holding all of my bags and coat for work I am not greeted when I walk in, but I am staring at the top of the head of a man who is resting his head on the desk... after three minutes he finally looks up to see me. After checking me out an older worker looks at me and says, "Do we still have you tire?". How would I know that? I asked him to look.... He rolls me tire out to me and leaves it next me to turn and walk away. So.. my hands a full and you guys messed up all day and I cant get someone to at least put my tire in my car? To me it is obvious there is a lack of effort in all of your establishments. Greeley did not put the 1,100$ tires onto the correct vehicle, voiding my warranty. Firestone location did not call me after looking at my tire and ordering the tire in time. Firestone location does not answer the phone but obviously picks up and slams them down. The front desk does not greet customers, or try to make a bad experience better. And apparently young women must take their tires back out to their car themselves. I will never return at this point, and unfortunately I did not use discount tire to buy all four my tires in October, I would have been SO much better off. read more

Spent $2000 on a new condenser + compressor+ flush hoses. Less than a year later the issue happened again. Called Firestone and said employee said there was a 12 month warranty. Called Firestone closest to me and said 12 month or 12,000 mile warranty and I'd pay full price. Called the Boulder location 10 times at 5pm over the course of 5 days (says they close at 7pm). No answer every single time. I have been a loyal Firestone customer and now I am taking my business to Christian brothers automotive. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. We live in Idaho Springs and called ahead to make sure specific tires were in stock. We had been having trouble finding them and asked the person who answered the phone to please physically make sure they were in stock. After a nice lunch and 2 hours later we were told that 3 of the 4 tires were over 5 years old and couldn't be legally sold! Shame on the management for having these tires still in your inventory to sell. What a waste of a day! read more

Went in for an alignment and when it was done I started to drive home and the alignment is worse that when I took it in. Went back and then they pulled some crap by measuring the tread on the tires and claiming that the tires are causing it to pull. I asked them how is it worse now than when I first brought it in. They are the same tires. I got nothing but excuses and was told to leave. I told them to drive the car and then I got "we are not allowed to drive customer cars." I asked for the manager and he is out for the day. Complete incompetence at this place. I would not recommend any go there for any work. The technicians are young guys that have no experience on working on any car. Now I'm out $102 and have a car that is in worse shape than when it went it. read more

STAY AWAY!!! Inquired about putting new rims on my current tires. It took two of them to figure out what I meant. I had to reexplain 3x to each of them that I didn't have new tires I needed them on but to put them on the tires currently on my car! That was weird. (No the connection wasn't bad either). This is the worst part...When I finally finished the conversation and they gave me a price (which by the way was more than the Toyota dealership price) they forgot to hang up the phone and started talking in the background. One of them said to the other "That guy was a FU*KING IDIOT". I clearly heard them and called them out which is when they hung up the phone immediately. Reid gives alternative solutions to problems that will be better or cheaper in the long run even when it makes less money for Firestone. That's my ultimate test of a mechanic's trustworthiness, and this business passes with flying colors. He even called ahead to the parts shop down the street so that the alternative part would be waiting for me when I arrived. Reid always lets me know whether a part's replacement is manufacturer suggestion or his personal opinion, and visually shows me the part when possible. They were able to perform my car's scheduled maintenance for over a hundred bucks cheaper than the dealership, and got me a pretty good deal on a set of tires, too. I haven't yet needed them to repair a major problem, but I can very highly recommend this shop for standard services. read more

I have been taking my Prius and Subaru here for 5 or so years and had consistently excellent service. I go there so frequently, the seem to already know my preferences for the oil type and the maintenance I want done. They are extremely courteous and professional, have reasonable labor and tire prices, and full-service auto care. The key drop service is also convenient as is the North Central Boulder location. My only nit is that if you go at a busy time, you may have to wait in line for a few minutes, but this seldom happens these days. it has happened that no one was around at the front desk ask one reviewer mentioned, but if you stick your head into the garage, they'll help you as soon as they can. Another nice perk is that if you get their firestone card, they automatically give you inexpensive $19.99 oil changes. But be careful to make sure to pay credit card on time though, they don't have an autopay function which is frustrating as it's easy to forget get zinged with late fees. read more

Scam. Period. I booked an appointment online for the replacement of all four of my tires from ones listed on their website (as I was heading back to Florida the following week -- a 2,100 mile trip). Thank God I didn't pay online (which was an option)! I made an appointment several days in advance to make sure the tires would be in stock. Sure enough, although I was supposed to receive a confirmation email, 1) I never received a confirmation (I HAD TO CALL THEM THE DAY BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT TO MAKE SURE IT WAS ON THEIR SCHEDULE) and 2) When I did call, "We don't have those tires in stock. There aren't even any in the state or any state nearby." THEN WHY DO YOU SHOW THEM AS BEING AVAILABLE ON YOUR WEBSITE? Then, the salesman offered me a "great deal" for other tires that JUST HAPPENED TO BE $200 MORE AND TRIED TO CONVINCE ME THAT THEY WERE "ABOUT THE SAME PRICE." He had nothing to say when I told him the price he gave me for the alternate tires was over $200 more than the "Out the Door" price I PRINTED OFF FROM THEIR WEBSITE. He then hung up the phone on me! Needless to say, THEY LOST MY BUSINESS FOR LIFE. read more

It's hard to find words that completely quantify the level of distrust I have for this place. The ONLY reliable quality this shop has: Whatever they tell you on the phone, is not what you'll actually get. They tell you one thing on phone just to get you there. Then, without fail, everything changes. It's difficult to make an accurate judgement based solely on a fluid changeout and a tire rotation. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt; that perhaps the shop was just busy on both of those occasions. My first and second experiences with them were only mildly irritating. However, my third and FINAL experience with them was by far the worst. My vehicle broke down and required a tow to get to any repair shop. The issue was straightforward and well within the capabilities of any repair shop. I contacted the shop to see what their availability was and an estimated completion time. I was told by the manager that they would be able to get it in the shop that day and that he saw no reason why my vehicle would not be completed the same day. I had no misunderstanding that this was in any way a guarantee, but at the least it was an accurate estimate. So, I paid a towing company to tow my vehicle to their shop. Once my vehicle was there, everything changed. The manager started feeding me stories and half-truths. Eventually I was told that not only would they not be able to work on my vehicle that day, but due to the upcoming holiday and long weekend, it would be closer to 3-4 days before they would even have a chance to look at it. I think their idea was that since I had it towed there, they had me stuck. Wrong. I called the same towing company back and had them tow it down the street to Tilden Car Care. On the phone, Tilden said they would get my vehicle in the shop ASAP. In person, Tilden had a mechanic working on my vehicle within 15 minutes of it getting disconnected from the tow truck. I bet the management at Firestone never saw that coming. read more

This is one of the worst auto care place I have visited along with the one in Broadway street, Denver. I have a 2009 subaru Imprezza. They changed my engine air filter even though it was not 15k miles on it. Also, they told me that I need to change my rear structs even though they were perfectly alright. I went for a second opinion and the other mechanic told me that Structs were perfectly alright and nothing was wrong in it. The guys at Firestone are there to just RIP you off. Not at all interested in even looking at tires that needed replacement unless I would leave the car for a day or two. Place was empty, but they said "this time of year, we need you to leave it" I guess they must have a great clientele because they turned away $700 in tires without even trying to work with me. I work out of my vehicle as an outside sales rep, I can't just leave my vehicle for "a day or two". I'll go to one of the larger chains instead, where they have some kind of interest in selling. read more

Dennis was helpful. Taron was honest. Reid has always been helpful (not sure if he still works there). Everyone else seems to be completely dishonest and rude. They have terrible customer service (aside from those mentioned above), and they are not honest with you throughout the process. When you say something about it, they'll accuse you of just being confused. I mean, while I was in there picking up my car after a terrible experience, one of the employees was being a jerk to another lady who was picking up her car. There aren't a ton of places in Boulder to get your car serviced, but if you want an honesty company with integrity I would recommend against this Firestone. I hardly ever completely recommend against a company, but this experience has changed my entire opinion of them. I'll never return. read more
