I noticed my window was cracked after getting my winter tires swapped out. When I asked the assistant manager he said it was like that before I came in. I just had a crack fixed so I knew it was not. Luckily I have a dashcam and when I played back the video an employee is seen using the air compressor hose and spraying it at co-workers. At one point he sprayed towards my car and hardware blew off of a cart and hit my window. Hopefully they make it right. read more

I brought my truck in for a free tire rotation and when I picked it up the employee informed me they had hit a mini-Cooper with my truck and showed me the damage to my truck and the mini-Cooper. When I got home I realized that the my bumper was bent downward and that the impact had driven my bumper into the body of my car making small dents. I called the manager (assistant) Levi who told me that they would dispute the damage and that he could make it right if I bought a set of tires. Honestly I don't know what to say. If you damage someone's car don't you just repair it and move on. Discount Tire has to have revenues per day that are in the millions. Take care of your customers...repair the damage you did...and have an excellent reputation that drives more business your way. Do not tell your customer you can fix the damage you caused to my car if he or she is willing to buy a set of tires. Honestly, my head is still spinning that anyone would even try this. Such a shame as Discount Tire has been my go to for years and we buy all our tires from them. Went in to have a nail removed. Repair was made, but suffered a gauntlet of pitches ranging from replacing one tire to replacing all tires, to replacing the rims and tires. Two of the reps claimed a wheel had an air leak due to corrosion (which it does not). Literally recommended buying some very cheesy aftermarket wheels (with the wrong offset!). In the rack in less than five minutes. Update : tire is good , but was low. He did the water dunk test 3x and rebalanced and will remount. All this in about 30 minutes. Brought my sons car in which had a complete blow out. I didn't catch the guys name but pretty sure he was one of the managers at the store. I was concerned my son had damaged his rim so had picked up a used rim at the junk yard earlier that morning. We live in Castle Rock, and have always used discount tire as our go to place for tires. I had already picked out the tires I wanted, and he did not try and up sell me or anything. I new I would have to buy two which was fine by me. He said they could reuse the rim originally on there, and said they could reuse the tire pressure monitor as well ( saved us another $70 for cost of a new one). Had my son's car done by the agreed upon time of around 4 hours even though they probably had 50 cars in that day, and we had just walked in around lunch time. My experience here has been poor in terms of the work they do. On at least two occasions they've damaged my rims, whether doing patch or brand new tires. Careless with cars and their value. I've also seen body damage in one vehicle and they told me it could be buffed out. The second time they damaged a rim after doing a patch. Nolan initially indicated they would purchase a new rim but then reneged and told me I would have to wait for someone from " Elite Rim Repair" to call me. Super rude guy that began the discussion by telling me when I should be available to fix the problem Discount Tire created. My opinion is skip this business entirely. They patched and plugged my tire for free, it had a screw in it. I was 5th in line but was in and out in only about 30 minutes. Offered me a warranty since my tires were still factory, which I appreciated but declined. They were not pushy and didn't try to upsell random crap at all. We've been going to Discount Tire for a number of years and have always been pleased with the service we've received...until recently. We recently purchased a full set of studded snow tires to get placed on an existing set of rims and when they arrived at Discount Tire we were called to bring the rims in for drop off and they'd get them on when they had time in the next day or two. After arriving and waiting an hour and 45 minutes simply to hand the tires off, I left and awaited a pick up call. Much later that evening, we receive a call stating that the new tires ordered had not in fact arrived and were "missing". For the next 4-5 days, we called and were misinformed time and time again on the tire's arrival timeframe. Once everything was finally handled, the new tires were on and I was there to pick them up, I had a long discussion with Tony and explained my experience in detail, the number of hours wasted, etc. Tony responded accordingly and professionally and got our situation taken care of satisfactorily. He was able to turn our experience from "we're never going here again" to "we'll keep coming back and will recommend Discount Tires to others". So thankful Discount Tire did the right thing via their customer service and by doing so retained our business. read more

I've been going to DT in Boulder for years and I always wait in the lobby when I'm there listening to the sales reps, so I speak from experience. Be warned, all that these guys care about is uncharging you and selling you new tires when you don't really need them. Definitely get a second opinion when they say your tires are worn out. The prices are fair but they train these guys to get a sale every which way they can. read more

While on vacation, we had a flat tire on the Tahoe. We took the flat to Discount and dropped it off to see if it could be repaired. Initially we were told it could be. Just over an hour later we were advised it could not be repaired. So we went to go pick up the tire. Jonathan and another guy came out with the rim but no tire. The owner of the vehicle asked where the actual tire was. We were advised the tire was left off the rim cause it could not be repaired. The owner of the vehicle asked them where her tire was. They said it was in the shop. She asked them to put it back on the rim so she could take it back with her to get another under her warranty. They responded by saying they could not cause the tire was damaged and tried to lay the rim in the back seat. She asked them again for her tire so they brought it. She asked them to mount it back on the rim so we would mount it under the vehicle. They said we could put it in the back. We said no, we have other people traveling back to Austin, Tx in the vehicle and had luggage. She asked again. One guy gave an annoyed look so I stated we need the tire on the rim to mount it. Is that something you can do? Finally a yes came out. When the tire was brought back, I was standing on the side of the vehicle. The owner asked if her lug nuts were there, thinking out loud. She did not change the tire but we also know some car companies have different lug nuts for spares and regular tires. One of the guys said they are on with the spare and another laughed at her. I advised him it was not funny. It was very disappointing to have had this type of service from a Discount Tire. Never have I ever felt like a nuisance or watched someone or myself be treated in the manner we were yesterday. We were out of state and chose to go to a tire company we have always happily used for tire services. I visit Colorado frequently and do not plan to use this location again after being made to feel as if serving us was an inconvenience for them. It's also very shady they tried to keep a tire they get money for instead of returning it. As a tire company they should know a tire could be under warranty and should have returned it. read more

UPDATE: just got a phone call from the shops manager, Dante, who, through a very thin veil of "wanting to help" essentially told me that they didn't do anything wrong and that another one of my tires conveniently had a nail in it, which is so far from true because I'd had multiple sets of eyes on all my tires as they had been leaking for weeks before visiting. The issue was always a seal and to attempt to explain this AGAIN to a manager and be lied to in an attempt to manipulate me... very not ok. On multiple occasions during the phone call, I was asked, exasperatedly, "what do you want me to do? I don't know what you want" and I repeatedly answered "I just want you to know what happened and to tell you why I'm frustrated with the service". Like, sir, I am not a Karen in this situation and I'm not even asking for a refund. I just need you to hear me and do better with your female/all?? customers. I am so anxious after getting off that call wow. I would not even send somebody I hated to this place. Original review: Pretty disappointed in the service I received here. I don't think I was taken seriously as a woman and I ended up having to come back twice to get the job done properly and even now, I need to go to another shop to fix my alignment, which wasn't off before I came in. Have time for a story? I arrived on a spare because my tire was torn apart when it separated from my wheel on my way to work. I wasn't totally surprised that this happened, because two of my tires had been leaking air for a few months, fast enough that I was needing to fill them up at least 5psi every 7-10 days. I knew my tires didn't have any punctures and the tread was doing fine. Therefore, I knew the issue was with the bead/seal between the tire and the wheel. When I brought the car in on the spare that morning, I gave the salesperson this information and told him that another tire was having the same issue. They sold me two new tires, as general guidance is to replace two at a time if you can't get the exact tires that you had previously. Fine, ok. I picked up my car later that day (not a bad turn around!) and my "low tire pressure" light was already on?? I assumed the computer needed time to reset by driving a couple miles, so I just went home. The next morning, same thing. The light even went from "low" to "very low", so I stopped at a Firestone near my work to fill up the tires. That's when I learned that they were inflated to the most random PSIs. One was fine, one was 8 under, one was 6 under, and one was 5 over. Weird? So I had them balanced and went to work. Light went off. When I got back to my car after an 8 hour day, the light was back on. This indicated to me that they had not checked the bead on the tires, which was the entire reason I had the accident and why I showed up in the first place. I was clear about what the tires needed and I was shocked that this wasn't considered or respected. Instead, the spare was replaced with a new, a faulty sealed tire was rotated to a different position on the car, and another perfectly fine tire was removed (and not given back to me) and replaced with a new one and now leaking. I had to take the car back to have the tires submerged in water, which should have been done the first time, and the salesperson was so annoyed with me being annoyed. It was bizarre. On a positive note, I wasn't charged for this, but it doesn't really make it better because of the lost time, energy, and the fact that, even though my tires are no longer leaking, the alignment is so far off that I can't even drive over 60 without vibrating to death until the next time I can make time to take it to a different shop, because, surprise, DT doesn't offer alignment services. Also, I'm annoyed that my perfectly fine tire wasn't returned to me. That would have been a lifesaver if anything happened to either of my two front tires that are the same. I feel like they weren't very honest about the fact that that was an option for me, and instead they probably kept it to resell as a used tire AND charged me for the "disposal fee". I do not recommend this place at all. At all. I am so mad at myself for coming here in the first place and I'll never let a friend go here either. read more
