I spoke with Anthony who did an over-the-phone diagnostics and after carefully probing, with his experience, he kindly said he didn't think he could help me (because of the year, make and model of my care) and he didn't want to cost me more money only to not be able to fully complete the service I might need. He further recommended another mechanic in town who he felt could take good care of me. Anthony was not only super kind, his professionalism was bar none! Took my boyfriend's car quite a while ago in for a wheel/tire issue he had called ahead about. I wasn't really sure what was needed but knew it was like an antitheft thing on the wheel, which seems weird to me and I guess to the mechanic too. Even though it's not my car and he called ahead to the shop, they asked for details I didn't have -- but when I spoke to them, they were demeaning and I actually heard an employee in the shop through the (not sound proof) glass ridiculing the request. The only redeeming quality was the person at the desk was apologetic for what we heard and had previously noted the details necessary to get the job done from the call my boyfriend made in advance. Normally I wouldn't hold a grudge this long but every time I drive by I'm irritated by the clear prejudice. We never went back to this shop because of how they spoke about me within earshot, I'm sure it would have gone differently if *he* came instead, and I wasn't the one to run that errand that day -- ladies beware. read more

My mom has been coming to Golden Triangle for years and recommended them to me when I had a car issue, which is how I came to be writing this review. My car battery died just before Christmas, and the kind people at Golden Triangle were able to quickly order me a new battery and replace it during a busy holiday time--all while my dead car was stuck inside of a nearby garage and without my having to have it towed to them. They also changed the car's oil and gave us an assessment of upcoming maintenance issues we might want to be watching for. It's always hard to find someone to work on cars that I trust. I don't know a lot about cars, and as a woman I think I'm often talked down to in male-dominated spaces like car repair. However, I have NEVER felt that way at Golden Triangle, and really appreciate that. I appreciate it even moreso for my mom, who is older and potentially easier to pressure into expensive things. Yikes. Stay away - had to bring in my car twice for the same issue. Mechanics left a mess under my hood - power steering fluid everywhere. Left spending twice as much as I should have - I got other bids following their first failed attempt at fixing my power steering pump. Mark up on one part was 15x what I can get it online for. Wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt so I went back when they said they would "make it right" - bad idea and they charged me full price. Oh and bonus points - they spam you with texts even after you've expressed your dissatisfaction and have been asked to be removed from their lists. Hot take - they take advantage of people and assume they don't know squat. Stay away. read more

I hit a huge pothole and messed up my Rogue pretty badly. My friend Hannah highly recommended Golden Triangle AC and it was spot on. David was awesome. Answered all my questions and concerns. He talked to me before doing any repairs and replacements to see if I was ok with prices and parts. They fixed my car in a day and a half! (It would have been one day but I missed a phone call from them) They saved me $$$ and the repairs were $350 less than my deductible, so I avoided an insurance claim and rate increase. I really appreciate the follow up text/phone call from them just to quickly check in with me after they have done work on my car and I've had it for a few days. They care about the quality of the work they do, even if it's just replacing a dead battery. I know I'll get quick, honest, and good service every time I take my car here. And not once have I felt like they were trying to upcharge or tack on any additional repairs/services that aren't totally needed. The heat in my car stopped working. I took it to Golden Triangle for a diagnostic because I'm employed nearby. A few hours later I got a call from them estimating over $2,000 in repairs that were strongly suggested. Here's the kicker- they didn't even address the heat! Since it was the first time I had heard about any of the issues they mentioned, I decided to pay for the $60 diagnostic and go on my way. When I went to retrieve my car there was a clear sour attitude from the man ringing me up. On my diagnostic report they even felt the need to write in all caps that I refused service. It was a slimy, unpleasant experience that I have no desire to repeat. Fast forward a few months, I have not completed any of the repairs they claimed needed immediate attention and my vehicle is running just fine. If you have basic car knowledge and know exactly what needs to be repaired then perhaps Golden Triangle will work for you but my experience was unprofessional and disconcerting, to say the least. read more

Took my car here specifying when I dropped it off I new what the check engine light signal was and that my car was overheating unrelated to the check engine Light error code they had it for 3 hour then called me back and told me what I already needed about the check engine light. When I came to grab my key I asked if they checked out anything about over heating and they looked at me confused and said "over heating" so I basically paid $130 ish for them to ignore me and tell me what I already new. They have done a great job ensuring my car is set to go for the next six months by putting air in the tires, topping off windshield wiper fluid, checking the brakes, etc. as part of a routine oil change.
