I ordered a transmission 4 weeks ago I was told it would be here the next week. I haven't gotten a tracking number. They didn't send the pictures. They told me they were going to send. I can't get anyone on the phone and clearly they have ripped me off. I paid with my bank card and so I'm going back to my bank after the payment right now. If you know what's good for you, do not use this company. My truck was in this shop for over three weeks for a transmission rebuild. Shortly after the repair, the transmission started slipping and leaking. I took it back to the shop and it stayed there for an additional week. The noises continued and the leaks continued as well so I took my truck to a credible shop. The expert mechanic called me and told me that All Engines and Transmissions had ripped me off, done an extremely poor job and left old parts inside the transmission. When Jin was confronted, he became extremely hostile and refused to give me even a partial refund for the poor job. Jin neglects his customer and acts incredible rude. I will go to great lengths to get my money back. IF YOU HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF BY ALL ENGINES AND TRANSMISSIONS, YOU HAVE A LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY TO TAKE JIN TO COURT AND FILE SUIT UNDER THE RIGHT TO REPAIR ACT. ...don't mean to disrespect I like the owner he seems very fair and honest maybe we didn't have much communication about the issue but got things replaced that didn't need to be replaced went in for specific reason and got everything but that fixed cool but not really blew all the money I had to get the actual issue handled now I have two more issues occur after I got my vehicle back steering was making noise when I turn left and my push to start on my key fob isn't working not sure what happen to that.beside that spoke to mechanic when owner was gone an more so had attitude came to tell the issues not get told that I'm lying and that my vehicle is fine when it's not like idk who that kid thinks he is but definitely don't want em touching my car again. My 1015 Subaru Forester had over 135,000 miles on it, most put on by an earlier owner who appeared to not have cared for the car that well. The body and interior are in excellent condition, and I had done repairs and kept up the drive train well. When my car was starting to use a quart of oil about every 1000 miles on high-speed interstate trips is when I started considering a trade-in. It probably would have run trouble-free for many more miles, but I didn't like the idea of polluting while living in the Front Range. I contemplated trading in the car for a similar year with fewer miles. However, reputable dealers wanted to give what seemed too little in trade and charge far too much for a replacement, without providing that much of an upgrade. At that point, I decided to check into a replacement used engine, and I found The All Engines and Transmissions online. I made contact, and a few months later I drove down to their location on Julian Street. Admittedly, the location did not make a great impression with a lot so jammed with vehicles that the office entrance was blocked and the garage looked dark and morose. But I grew up in a small town in WV that had good mechanics operating out of similarly unimpressive quarters. So I sat with Jin, and we looked at salvaged engine options and I picked a Subaru engine from Utah with 22,000 miles for $1600 and we ordered it. Installation labor after the engine arrived after the Xmas holidays and all the fluids and materials needed came to a bit over another $800, which was MUCH less than what I would have paid on a trade-in vehicle. I ended up with a car I knew and an engine that was close to new. Jin test-drove the car before I picked it up o be sure the replacement had gone as planned. Subarus have lots of tricky electronics, sensors, etc. When I picked up the car and drove it myself for a couple of weeks there were no surprises. Everything worked flawlessly. I waited a few more weeks to write this review to see if there would be any unpleasant surprises, and there were none. I took a long high-speed trip to Minnesota and Iowa and got to drive a couple of thousand miles in everything from low 60s to deep subzero, and I had no issues. I noticed that I got higher gas mileage than before the changed engine and it was consuming no oil. In short, I am a happy camper and feel confident that I am using a reliable vehicle that I can keep for a long time. There are some pretty awful reviews of this place on Yelp, but they are old. I took a chance in 2020 and they did well by me. A perk is that they are near bus an Enterprise car rental on Federal Ave. in easy walking distance. That's significant if you are leaving your car a few days, live a long distance away and don't want to be without. read more

They replaced an engine in May 2021. 2 months later it starts leaking coolant. Took it back July 9th. Was told head gasket bad. Approved head gasket repair and fuel pump replacement.. it took them 6 weeks to do the 2 repairs. Truck runs terrible now. Stalls often and bogs down. The truck ran perfect when I took it back. The only issue was it was leaking a small amount of coolant. Now it's not safe to drive. Like i said it ran beautifully before head gasket was rebuilt. I should have just dealt with the leak. Something happened to cylinder # 5 during head gasket repair! Shop refunded the head gasket and fuel pump invoice. Now stuck with bad engine and still don't have a running truck after hiring this company 4 months ago! read more

Took my car to a few mechanics to get an estimate and this one was a mistake to take too ... after a few hours I was told it was just a diagnostic and I get a call that my car overheated and I need a new engine , seemed weird to me because this car has NEVER overheated with me , anyways he tried to explain that it was a gasket issue and then he opened the hood and my radiator was broken where the hose goes on ,car has a valve shim issue and I just wanted an estimate to get a proper fix ..with that being said the hose was taken off and put back on shortly before due to a proper inspection of the internal engine , then tried convincing me that a new engine is needed , would not recommend unless your wanting a used engine installed read more

Had them install a motor back in 2018 just to find out now that they butt connected my engine wiring harness together so over the years my harness corroded. They hid tje butt connectors so that I wouldn't notice the sloppy work now it's gonna be a $2000.00 repair because of them. If they install a motor for you make sure to look your wiring harness over before leaving their shop if you don't it will bite you in the a@@ later!! read more

It's not often that a business owner especially in the automobile repair field will go completely out of his way to make sure he gets you taken care of, but Jin at All Engines and Transmissions did exactly that for me. The tranny in my Pathfinder broke down, and he found me a newer used replacement one at a really good price and then lived up to everything he said he was going to do to install it. I got it back in a week and it runs great. He also offers a warranty on the part and labor which is a very fair deal. I could not be more pleased with the service I got here and would recommend giving Jin a call if you are in need of transmission or engine work. read more

Jin offered me a decent price (not the lowest) and a turnaround of two to three weeks to replace my engine. He had my vehicle for about two months and eventually I just had to take it back from him because it was taking so long. He said it was done but I found parts were missing or removed a lot after I had another mechanic check it out a day or two later. My AC and heater were disassembled and not replaced; my engine still had issues I brought it to him for, and he left bolts unreplaced that are now just missing. When I took it to other local mechanics to fix his mess two of them (at different shops!) laughed at me when I mentioned Jin saying they had to fix his shop's work all the time. Now they don't take it on any more for legal reasons. One even said they don't want to put their fingerprints on his trainwrecks. That was alarming but what really upset me was that when I went to pick up my vehicle he added almost $1k in undiscussed unapproved repairs. It's still not clear if he just wanted to pad the bill or if the repair got botched creating more repairs that he knew he couldn't run by me. Suffice it to say he tried to hold my van hostage and called the police when I told him I was only ready to pay the original price we had discussed. He even got in my face and yelled at me, which I found hostile and rude. He even called the police and told them I was trying to run away without paying which was utterly false I just didn't want to reward his thieving business practices. I waited for the Police to show because I felt like we had already reached the point of crazy. Upon their arrival the police sided with me because he never asked for approval for all the items he added to the invoice. Not for a single one while I was calling and texting for updates almost every day. He literally said to them "yes the repairs weren't approved but I have a right." They said no to this, and rightly so. I also found it telling that when I had questions about the status of my repairs his accent got thicker and he seemed to not understand me. Then when we talked about money or the cops had questions his english was perfect and he had almost no accent. Strangely convenient, right? Anyway, he was instructed to fix the invoice back to discussed numbers and let me go but the whole ordeal was the most unethical, shadiest encounter I've ever had with a mechanic. For the record, he also blamed his mechanics for the delays which they said he does a lot. They even laughed at his treatment of me saying they tell him all the time he shouldn't treat customers this way. In the end, it seems everyone understands Jin's failures but him. Be aware and steer clear of this guy. All Engines and Transmissions was a full fledged nightmare. read more

I have never had a worse experience at any auto shop. They have still not repaired the car after 3 months! They delivered the "repaired" car in order to collect the $3,600; however the car barely made it home before it died (with the same noise) and will no longer run. They first refused to honor the warranty and now say they will get to it-- but after 3 months have still not repaired the car. We finally had to give up and take is somewhere else. They also stole equipment from the car (which they had in their hand in the shop but not say they can't find it. At this point they will not refund the money and did not repair the car. PLEASE READ. I made the biggest mistake taking my Acura here. They quoted me for a engine swap for $1200 and at the end I paid $2400. It took them 9 months to do a engine swap and after that 3 months later coolant leaking everywhere, oil was leaking from a bad head gasket from the "40,000" mile engine yeah right. The car was burning oil like crazy. They even stole some expensive after market part from me and act like it vanished and they never seen it before. I had to take it to a professional mechanic to redo everything they messed up. Do not take your car here because they will quote you a cheap price in the end you'll pay double, do the right thing and just take it to a good trustworthy mechanic and save yourself trouble from this business. read more

This is by far the worse garage in the Denver area. Like previous reviews, state, he will hold your vehicle hostage and when the work is complete it will be sub-par and shabby.. He has now had mine a second time for two months! WTF? Gin installed a new (used) engine in our vehicle. After the install everything leaked. Everything! Took it back and he "fixed it". Tried to ask for money to pay for the horrible job he did the first time, and it took three weeks to get it back. Less than two months later, the old/new engine he put in the vehicle is blown and shot, along with the drive train, as a result of putting a bad engine in, and horrible workmanship. Took the vehicle back and requested he honor his warranty. He has had the vehicle six weeks, SIX WEEKS! And still no actual time frame as to when he will complete the work, if at all! Gin will not return your phone calls. Will constantly lie and make excuses as to why his mechanics are slow and what is wrong with the vehicle. Beware of this thief. Jin of all engine and transmission appears to be a fair person however he is not i have purchased several engine and transmissions from this man that where in poor condition one I purchased for my personal vehicle complete garbage came with a six month warranty since the day it was installed its had a knocking noise from the bottom end he even came and listened to the motor run said he couldn't hear it he was full of crap didn't want to warranty it his reasoning was that he didn't make enough off of it I paid 1200.00 dollars for junk do not let this happen to you he has some good reviews but these people are not mechanically inclined to know that the engines he supplies people are high mileage junk he gets for really cheap and charge high dollar for them. PLEASE READ. I did a motor swap here supposedly for $1200 but in the end payed $2500 and everything leaks oil, coolant, power steering. Had to pay another tech to fix everything else. Also It took them 9 months to do a motor swap 9 months that I was without a car!! Also they stole my original ecu that I originally had in my car and when I asked the owner Jin about he argued with me and said they never seen it. They are very dishonest and they will not do a quality job and charge you more then what your originally quoted but you can't do anything but have to pay them cause it's your car. I wouldn't even let these clowns do a oil change on my car, so that is my warning to you reading this. If you need any work done to your car go to a reputable mechanic and pay the extra money because in the end you will be paying the same if you go to this place cause they will say $1200 but in the end it's $2500 from my experience. read more
