This is my 2nd time coming to this location and it's still just as awesome. The waitstaff is so friendly and well organized. We didn't need a reservation and got seated very quickly. The hostess apologized for the 7 min wait, which was so sweet because that's really no wait time at all. Our server Izzy/Lizzy?? was so kind and provided awesome service. This place never disappoints. Even though they are known for their "well done" pizzas, they have many other favs, like wings and eggplant Parmesan dishes. Stopped in for a mid week pizza. Food was decent. Ordered a pie, half shrimp scampi, half Paulie's Pie. I like Anthony's pizza because it's thin, and they char it. The pizza could have actually been cooked a little more. Service was lacking. Never checked in once during the meal or refilled water. Wayne, PA 11/30/25..take out horrible. their pizza may be great but we went 0-4, no pizza. Meatballs were not cooked thru (imagine biting into a meatball that's not cooked??) ....garlic knots....need to see the picture...they were biscuits drenched in garlic and oil. Vile. Literally...uneatable!! Tossed them. Hands down one of the most miserable dining experiences I've ever had. Here's how it went down- I walk in this place for lunch and there are ZERO people in the restaurant, not even at the bar. I ordered two items off for lunch menu, wings and a pizza. The wings come out with ONE napkin (the waitress eventually brought more napkins when my pizza arrived three days later). Looking around at all the empty tables I saw that there were no napkins on any of the tables. Must be the owner's way of trying to skimp and save money. Wings were mushy, slimy with no good quality about them whatsoever. We get it, you "oven bake" your wings, but there is no reason to have them coming out like that. "Bake"them longer if need be. Finished with the wings now. Ten minutes go by. 15 minutes go by. 20 minutes go by....where is the pizza??? Again , there is NO ONE in the restaurant. After over a half hour my small, lunch special pizza comes out. Not even close to being worth the wait. Crust and dough were terrible, cheese and sauce barely passed as average. I will never understand why a pizza would come out 1/2 hour after I finished those wings. First off, why wouldn't they serve everything at once?? These are two lunch special items; I'm not siting at some fine dining restaurant with a group of people ordering appetizers expecting to wait on entrees...is this how simple brained the cooks and staff are? Even if that was the case, why would you not even start to make my pizza until my wings were finished?? The whole thing lasted over an hour. Food great service great! We go several times a month. Tonight we walked out. Others did too. A table of 8 college aged kids (they said Nova) were loud and obnoxious. It went on for 20 minutes before we left. We told the servers, but no action. We all enjoy a good time with friends. After a while you know when you are too loud. Be considerate of your neighbor tables. Please Curb your friends. We will give them a pass from now on. Too bad. A polite word from a manager would have sorted this out. read more

We went here on Sunday night 5/25, and after sitting there for over 15 minutes with no service (and with a 5 year old child!), we got up and left. We didn't even get menus! We had to walk up the host stand and grab a menu ourselves. My husband went to the bar to let them know that we were leaving since no one was waiting on us, and they just stared at him and shrugged their shoulders like they couldn't care less. Horrible service. I waited tables years ago in my 20s, and one thing I learned is that if you at least bring people drinks, that buys you some time and forgiveness. Though I haven't been in the physical location to talk about the service or the atmosphere, I have tried the food. I did get their wings and garlic knots to try, as I am on the hunt for good wings. Looking at the pictures online, the wings did look good; however, when I got my wings they really sort of fell flat. I ordered wings with buffalo sauce, and the sauce was barely coated. I used to go to Anthony's in Ft Lauderdale when I lived there 15 years ago. Being new to the PA area, I noticed an Anthony's, which brought back good memories of the restaurant - so we went for pizza and wings. We sat at the bar and immediately noticed the 'fruit-like' flys. I've seen them before at a restaurant, and the new owner of that restaurant had to tear apart the bar to rid them. I sense something not right back there. Nevertheless, we sat and ordered a large margarita pizza and garlic parm wings. The pizza was no more than a cheese pizza with a very few basil leaves - very few. The pizza had a few extremely black burnt crust areas unacceptable and unedible even for coal-fired pizza where it is inherent and expected. The garlic wings were tasty, but not very temperature hot. I found the pizza here to be pretty perfect. I liked the thinner, crisper crust. There were three of us and we decided to get a six slice half spicy sausage and half mushroom. It came out fast and our server graciously and literally "served" us our first slices. We attacked it with vigor. I also liked the decor and ambiance. Love their pizza but ordering is a nightmare! Online order never made it to restaurant, had to reorder and pick up what should have been a delivery order. Manager told me essentially it was MY fault that order did not go through. Your entire order process is a mess. My family and I made an impromptu visit to Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza on Sunday, May 12 ( Mother's Day). It was our third option as everywhere was pretty busy because of it being Mother's Day. My family and I had no plans on going out to eat but had some time to spare and decided grabbing something quick like pizza would've been a good idea. When we walked in Anthony's, we were pleasantly surprised to see that there was one bar guest, a table of two ( mother and son) and then my table of seven. I was shocked considering this was our third place because everywhere else has been so busy. Our server greeted us right away ( Izzy, I think her name was- beautiful girl, very pleasant and bubbly) she asked us if we have ever been to Anthony's before , we said no, she suggested trying a free sampler to try the app selections. We agreed and she offered to put two samplers in since we were a bigger table. We also ordered spinach dip, a lg Tony's hot pepperoni pizza and lg white pizza ( half ricotta/half without). Our spinach dip came out 15/20mins after we ordered with 6 pieces of bread to dip- we didn't even have enough bread for everyone at the table. The spinach dip was delicious and the bread they give you with the dip was also top notch. I did request to have more bread for our dip because we had so much dip still left. I also had to ask another server for refills ( we tend to not be needy but at this point we were already here for 40mins and only gotten our spinach dip and one round of beverages). Our pizza came out 45 mins after we ordered and at this point we were the only table besides the bar guest that was there when we first sat and ordered. Our white pizza was burnt, and not like a charcoal burnt. Like B U R N T - we didn't make a stink about it because we already waited so long for the pizzas and we were all starving at this point. The Hot pepperoni pizza was also very charred on the bottom but it was better than the white pizza. The white pizza was straight trash. The half that didn't have ricotta was hard- I even told my mom at one point that I thought I was going to chip a tooth. We also had to ask the host for napkins, and another drink for my dad, daughter and son. ( their second drinks- my mom, husband and myself got our second round when we ordered the spinach dip) What should've been a 45/60min dining meal turned into at 2.15min meal. I will say that we did arrive at a random time. It was too early for dinner but too late for lunch but the entire 2hours we were there.. we were still the only ones there and had to ask for everything. I totally understand we all have our good days and our bad days, and every girl working were adorable, happy and glowing. They were all super sweet and kind whenever I did ask for anything but it's the fact that I had to ask for everything. I also will not blame her for the amount of bread that came with the dip or how the pizza was cooked and how long it took; kitchen mistakes shouldn't fall fault on the server. This post isn't about the server- because again, we all have our days and maybe she was busy doing some kind of side work or other work. I get it, people get distracted and don't realize how much time has passed. I did write the company and got some standard HR message, which is also fine. I wasn't contacting them for something for free because I most likely won't be eating at that establishment again. If you like charred pizza, and waiting an hour for your food then this place is the place to go... if not, then find a mom and pop pizza shop! read more

Was working nearby and stopped in here for lunch. Ordered a lunch size pizza with bacon. The pizza was great, more of a thick Neapolitan style crust vs ny style. Cheese and toppings were great, but also hard to mess up bacon. Service was friendly and efficient. I do think it is a bit overpriced for what it is, but good option nonetheless read more

This is a chain, although most of the locations are in East PA and NYC suburbs. This review is for the Wayne, PA location only. Pizza here is "well done;" from various trips and times ordering from here, I can say that how "well" the pizza is cooked is variable--if you like your pizza "doughy" this is certainly not the establishment for you. If however, you're okay with some char on the crust, the pizzas are generally pretty flavorful. Garlic knots, wings, and salads have also all been good in my experience. Meatballs are the best non-pizza item on the menu. Overall, it is not the best pizza on the main line but it's a good choice for changing things up. The value is okay: there is better pizza in the area for significantly less. The in-person experience is consistently mediocre but not explicitly bad. As useless as this statement is: I'd recommend trying it if you like this style or pizza and avoiding if you do not. read more

The takeout service was a horrible experience on a Wednesday- today!I ordered online and it said ready at 7:49pm. It took almost a full hour after that for it to be ready- they hadn't started wings or meatballs & forgot extra sauce which took more time. Pizza was cold- they added an extra topping not ordered and the place was empty! Young servers all talking and not helpful. Floor was slippery too. I can't believe I added a tip online when ordering. I opened it up in front of him while the door was still open and of course it was all smashed into a corner of the box. I feel like delivering pizzas requires a basic requirement of keeping the boxes flat, something that I would hope businesses would make sure their drivers understand. In this case it seemed malicious. When I opened the box the delivery guy kinda shrugged and smirked. Also, the sauce I requested was not included.
