The brunch here is amazing! I came on a Saturday afternoon with a group of friends and it was super busy. They had to push our reservation back 20 minutes but offered each of us a complimentary glass of champagne during the wait which was very nice of them. We started off with the Nutella donuts and they were decadent and delicious and was a perfect treat to split between a group. I ordered the mushroom omelet and asked for light amount of goat cheese which they easily accommodated. The rest of the group ordered the buratta frittata, guacamole and chorizo Benedict, and the French toast and bacon Benedict. Everyone loved their meals and the portions were so generous none of us could finish our plates. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because of the service. After we were seated, it took around 20 minutes for someone to come to our table and take our order. We had the Jalisco flower cocktail and you just can't go wrong the tequila with the sparkling wine makes this cocktail so subtle and tasty. Let's talk Benedicts!! They have mastered these dishes and the potatoes that come with them are just perfectly flavored! You have to love a group of friends that you can split your meal with because that's what we do. We all had different favorites. And ironically it was not what we ordered for ourselves. My favorite was the French toast croissant it's the perfect sweet and savory. It had 3 rooms each cuter then the next. We were in the middle room. They have outside seating but because of the movie there were restrictions for sitting out there and since we were doing a catch-up we ate inside. The basil was a nice flavor and not over powering. The potato's were really well seasoned and crispy, which was my favorite part of the whole dish. Best brunch I've had, hands down! We arrived ~830am on Sat morning and were the first patrons. The Mr. ordered fresh OJ, I the cappuccino and we split the delicious French Toast and Southwest omelet sans ham. All I can say is, WOW! The shredded coconut butter was genius although I would've appreciated warm maple syrup instead of that artificial gooey stuff. The omlette was fluffy and had the right balance of veggies and cheese. It had been a while since I visited Anthony David's but I had a great brunch here over the weekend! They have indoor and outdoor seating (with heat lamps) and the service was very quick for a Saturday morning brunch time. I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. By the time we left around 1, we noticed people waiting for seats. They now have BYOB and in-house cocktails; I think that the last time I visited it was only BYOB. We still opted to bring our own champagne for mimosas which worked out well! The Sicilian omelet is just as good as I remember! Also, it was nice to be able to swap the bread for a side salad (I love their balsamic dressing). However, the breakfast potatoes were a little mushy; I was hoping they'd be crispier. 5 stars for food the vibes and the Guacamole and Spicy Chorizo Benedict! 1 star deducted due to the customer service. The food is slow and don't expect that they will fill the water for you. And their default minimum tip is 18%. Definitely they don't provide that service.. Other stars deducted due to its credit card fee. It's a small fee but I don't like that the restaurant doesn't disclose it until the bill comes over. I think by law, they should disclose it somewhere at least before people order it, but they didn't. And paying by credit card is mandatory. We had a debate with the waitress, but she said that's what other restaurants do as well (but it's my first time seeing this fee while I eat outside everyday). There's a warning that's goes: never trust a man with two first names. I want to give Anthony David's a second chance, which makes me question my sanity, but the positives slightly outweigh the bad. Service was neglectful & awkward. Our waiter did not check on us during dinner, had to be reminded repeatedly about the drink my companion ordered, & didn't wash his hands after tending to a baby. The other strike was an issue with the Tuscan Fried Chicken ($26) which gave the people who ate it a stomach ache. Usually this would be a deal breaker but the issue was mild, shall we say. Despite these two issues, we really enjoyed the flavors in the dishes we ordered & everything was plated beautifully. We started with House Whipped Ricotta ($15) which came with two slices of toast & cherry & fig marmalades. You can't go wrong with spreadable cheese & sweet jams. My companions shared the Branzino ($36) which was pan roasted & went well with its whipped potatoes & veggies. Taste-wise, Anthony David's doing something right. However, our dining experience was tainted by less-than-attentive service & a preparation blunder in their fried chicken. Dinner last night was unusually perfect! Service couldn't have been nicer and food was excellent! We shared Pork Chop Parmesan and Truffle Carbonara Pasta. Both were seriously so so good! I loved the potatoes as well that came with the pork chop. They were extra crispy! Portion was big for pork chop but breading was kind of soggy and overall felt like kitchen is just phoning it in. My husband liked his branzino but the fish portion was very small. Had brownie for dessert which was warm and good. For a classic brunch spot that ticks all the boxes this is a great spot! Came for the first time on MLK and while parking was a little difficult (as expected for the area) once we arrived it was a great time. My friend and I ordered drinks (BYOB or they have their own offerings) she got the Jalisco flower and I the rose sangria, both delicious! For food she got the toast and Benedict and I the French toast (recommend anything with "coconut butter" on it). Ambiance was upbeat without being rowdy and service was consistent. I'm knocking a star because the food wasn't amazingly remarkable but definitely reliable for making this a go to spot. I also thought our service while pleasant and consistent wasn't as friendly (felt too transactional) but it was a holiday and brunch is a busy time. Let me start by saying that the food was fantastic! All 3 of us really enjoyed our meal. As for the service, hands down the worst. We sat down at the table and 15 minutes later had to ask if we even had a server. Then it took another 10 for the waiter to even come to take our order. That was the last time we saw our waiter until the end of the dinner. We asked for a cup of coffee and 10 minutes later we just asked for the check. Oh yes, the lights above us were out and we had to use our flashlights on our phone to even be able to look at what was on our plate. This was my second time at AD's, both experiences vastly different. The first was for breakfast where the food was amazing and the service was just alright. This time for dinner was almost the opposite. Great service, food was good but not great. 4 stars again, just in different ways. We spoke with the manager and the server at length, and they made us feel at home. The ambiance was awesome as we went on a quiet night. So we sat inside in a relatively private environment. We had the Taleggio Arancini to start and loved it. The tomato sauce was rich and perfectly spicy. For mains, we had Scallops and Brown Butter + Sage pasta with Biscotti. The scallops were tasty, though we only got 3 and one of them were significantly smaller than the others. The sides/garnish didn't bring much value, and at the price point I think more scallops would've been appropriate. The pasta was delicious. Never have I seen biscotti crumbs added to the top of pasta, but it worked. This dish was sweet and savory, something I was pleasantly surprised with on a cold night. Dessert - we had both the Nutella and bourbon glazed donuts. I was excited to taste the bourbon glazed but it tasted as if a shot of bourbon was poured over the top. Way too strong. I recommend the Nutella or a different dessert. Having now been for both breakfast and dinner, I'd prefer breakfast at Anthony David's, but it's a great spot whichever way you slice it. read more

If I hadn't driven on Bloomfield St slowly one Saturday morning, I would have totally missed this little local gem serving up fancy champagne with their decadent brunch menu accompanied by live band playing on the weekends!
