    Homemade Tiramisu

If you want delicious Italian food - come to Margherita's! I'm so glad I finally came to try it out! We started with the special - black truffle arancini (5/5) crispy on the outside and flavorful inside with a delicious vodka sauce included. The mozzarella sticks (4/5) were also pretty good, the marinara paired with it was delicious. For entrees I had the penne vodka with chicken cutlet and it was my favorite penne vodka I've had! The pasta was cooked well, the vodka sauce was delicious and the chicken was well cooked and incorporated (cut into bite sized pieces. For dessert we had the tiramisu - great overall favor but the top layer of ladyfingers was a bit dry for my preference but overall still great flavor and I loved the texture with the chocolate chips incorporated. Service was excellent! Gabriella was our server and she was exceptional with recommendations and checking in on us to make sure everything was good. Ambience at Margherita's was laidback but nice, it was dimly lit so there's some date night vibes there but also a great place to bring your family and/or dinner with friends. Parking is metered street parking also available through ParkMobile app.

    Spicy Lobster Pasta

MY NEW OBSESSION? Ok, so listen Linda. I was seriously craving pasta this evening, and wanted to have some delivered. I looked through the delivery apps for pasta and came across Margherita's. They had great reviews, and the menu caught my eye right away. The main thing that stuck out to me, as in, had me salivating, was their spicy lobster pasta, made with vodka sauce and capers?! Excuse me?! Now, this was under their weekly specials, so my heart would be ABSOLUTELY BROKEN if I can't get this regularly :-( so hopefully, it becomes a regular menu item. Anyway, I ordered the spicy lobster pasta, and it was en route. So, let me start with the minor cons (again, minor). They didn't send any napkins or plasticware. Perhaps you're supposed to request it through the app, by I didn't see the option. The second con is, it doesn't come with a side of Parmesan cheese. It's an extra $2 if you want a side of Parmesan, but i think it should come with it, and I only say that because Parmesan cheese is always a part of the Italian restaurant experience. You order your pasta, it's served, your waiter offers you freshly grated Parmesan and freshly cracked pepper. My final, very minor con is, I wish my pasta was a bit more al dente. Even though it was angel hair pasta, I still love a good bite. Now, having said that, let's get into the pros, which made me look past everything! First off, the dish is beautiful! I mean, you eat with your eyes first, no? Right. It just looked so pretty. The pasta, the beautifully done vodka sauce, the capers, the angel hair pasta, the chunks of lobster, I mean it all just made me so happy from the looks alone. Now, along with a dish looking good, we need it to taste good too, no? Right. So, I get my first fork-full. It's still nice and hot and I taste that vodka sauce......girl, that was some of thee best vodka sauce I've had. It tasted like LOVE, you understand me? Just, perfection. It had a nice little spice to it, you got a lovely, salty burst from those capers, the angel hair was a great choice for this dish because it's so thin and pairs nicely with pretty much anything. The yummy, meaty chunks of lobster were heaven-sent! Just, delectable! I was in love right away. I told myself that I'd be eating here regularly, and need to go in person. This dish was just divine all around. It also came with bread that soaks up that vodka sauce, beautifully! Omg, I've been missin' out! I will be ordering from here again, and you should too! I look forward to trying more menu items, and going in person! I'm OBSESSED!

    Truffle Honey Fig Pizza

The ambiance is pretty nice - the inside is quite cozy and chic! And superb outdoor seating for summer! The food is quite average - we liked pesto pasta and fettuccini Alfredo. But the fig pizza was a turn off. The figs on top of pizza were not even roasted as can be seen in the picture. They were basically raw. The service is nice. It was not difficult to get a table on a Friday evening.

My favorite place in Hoboken. I've never failed to get a spot and I've only gone on weekends. Their atmosphere is so cozy and family oriented and their food is to die for. Always my top choice when hosting visitors.

Small, loud, dimly lit and fun! Third visit here and consistently great! Tonight the pappardelle bolognese and their special 12" pie with fig, arugula and honey truffle oil, topped with thinly-sliced prosciutto was outstanding! We started with PEI mussels and they were fresh, clean, plentiful and the marinara was piping hot and delicious! Add a couple (OK, more than a couple) of Limoncello Mojitos and woohooo - great dinner!

I have to admit I hit the jackpot with this special. The regular menu is a bit to basic for my liking, but the staff are friendly, the place is cute, and an added plus, you can actually make a reservation for it in Hoboken which is rare nowadays

I came here for dinner with my family of five after helping my sister move into her apartment down the street. The staff was very nice and the service was excellent. Our meals were very good across the board. I ordered the chicken parm with vodka sauce, and it was outstanding--the pasta might honestly be the best I've ever had. The drinks were just as impressive. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and I'd highly recommend this spot to anyone in the area.

The freshly made pasta here was so delicious! Ambiance - cozy space and decor - candles on the tables are beautiful and warming Service - attentive servers - food came out quickly Food: Complimentary bread was warm, crusty and delicious - mozzarella sticks: cheese stretch was perfect! And this classic appetizer was fried perfectly and delicious - Penne Arrabbiata: pasta was perfectly al-dente! I loved how the hot cherry peppers added some spice and tang to the dish. Marinara sauce bought so much fresh tomato and herb flavors

Our favorite lazy Sunday dinner spot when we want some good comfort food. This place never disappoints and is consistently good. We tried a peach and honey pizza that was on the specials menu and it was DELICIOUS.

The food is delicious! We got a pizza with pepperoni and green peppers, chicken sandwich and a spicy vodka sauce penne. Every bite was delicious. The reason it isn't 5 stars is the service. We were one of 2 tables in the restaurant, but our server barely checked on us, and was hard to get her attention. She was hanging at the bar talking to another employee most of the time.

First time here, and will definitely be back. They have a full bar with very reasonably priced drinks and bottles. The bread brought to the table comes with olive oil and balsamic drizzle is extremely warm and fresh. We opted for a calamari appetizer, which was the perfect portion to split between us three. We decided to all order different entrees to share and try. The penne vodka is absolutely divine and a must try. The pizza is fresh, and flavorful. The chicken francese was absolutely cooked to perfection. The only downside is there are no reservations so from time to time expect a wait for a table. Will definitely be back to enjoy their dessert menu and drinks.

First time coming here for someone's birthday. We were a party of 5 and it was a Thursday around 7pm. So it was during the dinner rush. Only one table available. The place was packed. Lots of families and kids. Noise level was pretty high. The ambience is very casual, like a pizza joint. No tablecloths. Nothing fancy. It took at least 45 minutes for the food to come. We were starving. My friend said his chicken parm was dry. I had a mozzarella appetizer, which was huge but a bit boring. I ordered Spicy Sausage Orecchiette--bland and the pasta was overdone. I had 2 Aperol Spritz. So much ice, I didn't feel the alcohol at all. Portions are medium to large. Our server was friendly but he didn't check in with us about how we doing. My advice. Stick to the pizza. That looked good. Bottom line: I'll keep exploring Hoboken for a standout Italian place.

Penne Spicy Vodka Tortellini Chicken Francese Rigatoni Pesto with Sundried Tomatoes

This is my favorite Italian spot in Hoboken. The pasta is so thick and fresh, sauces are unreal and the portions are huge. The penne vodka and chicken francese are some of the best I've ever had. ALSO U MUST GET THE BAKED CLAMS!!

Authentic Italian... As long as you order their homemade pasta. Please note that on the menu they have a specific section for the pasta they make by hand and the pasta they do not. I heard a table next to us saying something again to the positive taste homemade but they ordered from a section where it didn't say it was lol. What makes this place great is you can pretty much make whatever kind of dish you want when it comes to the pasta. They offer a variety of sauces as well. Surprisingly on this night, I wasn't very hungry and I ended up only getting their soup, which was also delicious. The chicken franchise was delicious, as well as the eggplant Parmesan. However, looking around at the restaurant, I can see the winner is the chicken Parmesan and the muscles. They seem to be very popular dishes. Not only is the food here great, but it is affordable. The only mention I will make as a knock against it is it gets extremely loud in there. This is not somewhere you want go for a date... Or if you intend on talking to anyone you're eating with and hearing what they have to say haha. That's only for the indoor section though. I'm sure outdoor is less intense with the sound. Only a few tables, cozy without feeling cramped. Service was excellent all night super friendly and welcoming. It's BYOB, which is a plus, and there's a liquor store about 30 seconds away. We grabbed a couple bottles of wine and they corked them for us. We went a bit off the beaten path with apps and ordered shrimp and scallops plus a Caesar salad. The shrimp and scallops were phenomenal, easily the standout, and the Caesar was solid. For mains, the pasta setup is great, almost like a create-your-own. I went with veal rigatoni in vodka sauce, and it was unreal. Honestly an 11/10. You can mix and match sauces and proteins, which is a nice touch. Finished with coffee gelato, and they even brought out a free dessert, which was an awesome surprise. The staff really made the experience. Also worth noting: it's a quieter spot compared to a lot of Hoboken restaurants, so if you want a cozy place where you can actually hear your table talk, this is it. Exceeded expectations -- I'll definitely be back.

The space was not large, but they really made the most of it, offering a decent number of tables with reasonable space between them. My friend and I were quickly seated and immediately greeted by a charming server that opened our bottle of wine (it's BYO) and offered us still or sparkling water. I had read in other reviews that you had to pay for water, so I was not surprised by the $6 bottle of Saratoga that wound up on our bill. In addition to our engaging server and the happening atmosphere, the food was similarly incredible. We decided to order a load of things to share, so that we could try a greater variety. We started with two appetizers that were seasonal Spring additions to the menu. The Hamachi Crudo included five thickly-sliced, tender pieces of Japanese yellowtail sitting in a broth of rhubarb aguachile and topped with white strawberries and basil seeds. It was an unique blend that we would not have expected to work, but boy was it delicious! The sweet toppings infused a load of flavor into an otherwise mild fish. We also enjoyed the Fava-mole, a creamy puree of fava beans studded with balls of hand-pulled mozzarella and pea tendrils, all drizzled with zesty ramp oil. I had not been sure what to expect from the dish, but it offered fresh, bright garden flavors. We also decided to share a pasta course and an entree. The Fettuccini was tossed with spring truffles and maitakes in a light, yet heavily aromatic, wild mushroom cream sauce. It was one of the best dishes I had had in quite some time. Then, as we were waiting on our seafood entree, we received a second pasta, courtesy of the Chef. I had mentioned that I had heard rave reviews about Flour from a server at Heirloom Kitchen, a top NJ restaurant. Apparently, our waiter had let the Chef know about that glowing praise, and the kitchen further verified that positivity with the generous gesture. In fact, they wound up sending out the Linguine with white clam sauce, razor clams, and wild ramps, the other dish about which I had been most curious anyway. Well, it was another winner! It was garlicky, herbaceous, and rich with flavors of the sea. Speaking of seafood, we next received the Branzino 'Bahn mi', a perfectly cooked piece of Mediterranean sea bass with Vietnamese sausage and pickled vegetables. The branzino's crispy skin and flaky, moist interior were excellent, and we loved all of the other smoky and briny flavors on the plate. After all of that excellent food, we would have loved to try one of their appealing desserts, but we were just too full. Between the ambiance, welcoming vibe, and delicious cuisine, our Flour experience was simply divine! It has now became one of my favorite restaurants in the area, and I cannot wait to try their pizza at some point as well.

I recommend the Mexican street corn as well as the mushroom linguine dish. The mafaldine missed the mark and needed a bit more citrus and a bit more peppercorn. The dessert was okay. Tasted more like corn bread than olive oil cake. The olive oil used seemed to not be earthy or robust enough to punch through. Overall, worth a try.
