Food was good. Service is so awful and soooooo slow. Had to ask 3 times for water. Only one woman working in the back dining room. Took her 15 minutes to clean off a table for us. She isn't cut out for the task of managing that room by herself.

Came here for breakfast and was impressed by their menu! Decided to settle on two stuffed croissants - pistachio and Nutella along with a pumpkin mocha latte. The croissants were nice and flaky with just the right amount of filling in them and they were quite tasty. I would have liked to taste more pumpkin in my coffee, but it was delicious nonetheless! I'd like to try their other savory breakfast menu items along with lunch. They have a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating with the outdoor seating have a relaxing view of the park it's in.

Large Iced Oatmilk Lavender Latte (~$7)

Ordered: Large Iced Oatmilk Lavender Latte (~$7) Pistachio Croissant (~$5) The Hoboken Girl Sandwich (~$14): Scrambled Eggs, Cheddar Cheese, Caramelized Onions, Avocado, Crispy Hashbrown, Jalapeno/Avocado Aioli served on Sourdough Bread Aya's take: Terrace by Alessio's is a hidden gem in Hoboken! After reading some reviews about the slow service, I was hesitant to go since I was on a time crunch. I'm glad I did anyway! I placed my order online and was given an estimate of 30 mins; when I got there 15-20 mins later, my order was already prepared (although I never received a text about it). The Large Iced Oatmilk Lavender Latte was delicious! They put the perfect amount of lavender where you can taste it in every sip! The latte itself was smooth, creamy, and well-balanced. The Pistachio Croissant was still warm when I bit into it which was a pleasant surprise. It's a bit hard and crisp, not as soft and buttery as I was hoping. The pistachio cream was outstanding but there was barely any inside. The cream tasted like real pistachios but definitely got a little lost in the croissant. The Hoboken Girl Sandwich has the potential to be a perfect breakfast sandwich! From the fresh & toasted sourdough bread to the savory eggs to the deliciously caramelized onions. My main complaint is the avocado was so scarce! I love avocado in a breakfast sandwich and it was almost nowhere to be found, I thought they forgot it. Compared to the photo on their website, my sandwich had a small fraction of the avocado. The hashbrown is such a nice touch but could've been crispier to add another layer of crunch & texture to each bite. Not only is the Hoboken Girl Sandwich a very solid breakfast sandwich but the proceeds go to supporting the York Street Project, a local group that supports women & children in need. All in all, I really enjoyed my breakfast here. They have outdoor seating and it's pretty close to the park, which will be great once the weather is warmer!

    Terrace Salad

This tiny salad was $20. Not only is it a small container, but it was delivered half full. Don't get salads here. I recommend Alfalfa over Alessio's.

They ripped an 11 year old off claiming they had no change. He goes there often. Who does this?

Sampled a box of their baked goods, including some donuts, loaf breads, and a chocolate chip…read morecookie, and I was genuinely impressed. It's hard to believe everything is gluten-free because the texture and flavor are so good - not dry, dense, or grainy. The donuts were moist, the bread was fresh, and even the cookie was soft and delicious. I've also had several of their salads, which are always fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. My favorite is the Peruvian chicken. The chicken is well-seasoned and packed with flavor. Sweet or savory, can't go wrong with Alfalfa!

How I'd describe alfalfa: "Healthy, quality ingredients,…read moretasty, fresh!" 1. Thai Steak Plate: My stripsteak had a nice charbroiled flavor, sliced thinly and cooked well done. I normally prefer med rare but it didn't take away from my enjoyment. The chimichurri paired really well, but could have been a tad saltier. The broccolini was cooked well and the cucumber salad added a nice fresh bite too. Pretty balanced in flavor and overall enjoyable! 2. Matcha Glow smoothie The smoothie did not taste anything of matcha and was way too lukewarm and thick for my enjoyment. Seating was also a bit sparse inside with only 3 tables, seems to mainly prioritize to go orders + the large amount of outdoor seating which is nice when the weather cooperates! The ambiance inside this restaurant compared to their other location is a bit soulless and corporate IMO :/ for example I wouldn't have ever guessed Alfalfa is a local Hoboken born business so I'm kind of disappointed they didn't try to lean more into that and highlight it in their theming!
