Went to Grimaldi's for dinner when we were in town and it was quite good. The restaurant is clean and lovely and you can see into the kitchen and watch them make the pies. We ordered a Margarita and leaded veggie pizza and both were super tasty. Their sauce is soo good. Service was friendly and helpful!

Traditional and Margherita Large Pizzas - very good, not too sweet or salty. Attentive staff, outdoor & indoor seating.

White White with Garlic Pizza (add tomato) & Penne Vodka

Stopped in on a Wednesday evening - service was very nice and many tables were taken. We sat right next to the pizza oven area, was kind of fun to watch. The inside is a bit small but they do have several tables outside which is great especially if you have a pup! Pizza was excellent, ordered a white pie (add tomato slices +$4) - pie came out hot and fresh from the brick oven. Crust was crispy and chewy. It was very good! We also tired Arugula salad (with dried cranberries, goat cheese & pear slices) it was refreshing and good to share! We ordered penne vodka but sadly this was a total fail. Not flavorful and a bit pricey IMO for just a plain dish. Overall wouldn't order pasta here. Absolutely come for the salad and pizza!!

Ordered to go from here via the Slice app and saved 5%. We got the mozzarella cakes and a large Don pie. The order was ready quickly. The mozzarella cakes were pretty good. The pizza was tasty. I liked the sauce. They were a bit skimpy on the pepperoni and meatballs and the dough was a little soft/undercooked in areas but pie was still pretty good.

    Small custom pie

Delicious pizza. Our two custom order pies were brought out at lightening speed! Didn't feel disgusting after ingesting so many carbs, which speaks volumes after not the healthiest of meals. Medium pie is perfect to split between two. Small pie would work for a hungry man. Large pie is good for a family. Recommend getting a custom margarita pie and adding 2-4 toppings to make it a filling meal. Each topping is an additional $4-5, but it's worth to make your pizza flavorful and vibrant. You can make half a pie one combo and another half, another. A great combination that I loved was meatballs, onions, ricotta, and bacon. Give it a try! Swift and efficient service. Casual, relaxed ambiance. Outdoor and indoor running options available.

Excellent pies! 10/10! This place never disappoints! I bring fellow crew members here all of the time and they all agree it's one of the best pizzas they've ever had. Sean was the contractor for the original Grimaldi's under the Brooklyn Bridge... Mr. Grimaldi made him a parter and Sean's been at this location for 35 years. The pandemic hit him hard, but Sean took care of his staff and never let them go. Local businesses have not come back... he used to deliver pies to many businesses in the area.. many buildings are still empty as people are working at home. Look no further for excellent pizza!

This is my second time coming here, first time was over 5 years ago. Came here on a Sunday late afternoon with friends. We were seated promptly after entering. The pizza itself has not changed, solid, filling and delicious. Ended up getting a large half pepperoni margarita pie and salad. The pizza taste similar to Brooklyn Pizzeria, which I believe are related in some way. The place has a warm vibe to it and the service was great. I would def come back here again and highly recommend trying this spot out if your in the Hoboken area. Street parking, good luck.

Sausage, peppers and onions on a well done pie

Please note in my picture that I ordered the pizza well done. It's supposed to look like that. I've been coming to Grimaldi's for the last decade and they always exceed expectations. Today was no exception. Service was fast and great. Ordered two large pies for plenty of leftovers (it's over an hour drive for us so might as well. Totally worth the drive). Bathrooms are downstairs (please note for mobility issues). Very casual inside with a full bar. Sausage, pepperoni and onions on a margherita well done. Also had a plain margherita. Ordered penne vodka and garlic bread to go. Plenty of street parking but during busy times may take a while. They do accept credit cards with a 3.5% fee. Plain Margherita pie is $20 + $3-$4 per topping. Totally reasonable especially for the quality.

    Margherita Pizza, personal size.

Could this be the best Neapolitan pizza anywhere in the US? If not, we haven't found it, and we've been looking for some time now! We ordered the classic personal-size Margherita Pizza, with a Caesar salad to share while waiting for the pizza to bake in their coal-fired oven. The salad was stunningly good! Made with romaine lettuce tossed in just the perfect amount of garlic, oil, and anchovy, crowned with shards of freshly shaved Parmigiano Reggiano. Unfortunately there's no picture because we couldn't resist diving right in. After what seemed like an interminable six-minute wait, an incredibly beautiful (and blazing hot) creation appeared at our table. So hot in fact that I had to start with the puffy, crispy outside/chewy inside crust! At that point I knew this was a very special pizza, since the crust alone was so delicate and delicious. Neither of us will ever forget our first bites of that flavorful cheese and garden-fresh marinara perched atop that wonderful crust; it was absolute perfection! The interplay of textures and flavors was sublime yet unbelievably delicious, and arguably addictive. It's definitely the best we've ever had and that includes pies we've sampled on countless trips to Italy and Switzerland--albeit not to Napoli, so that's our next stop!

Grimaldi's the absolute gold standard of NJ Neapolitan pizza. The dough is crisped to a perfection and the red sauce is so unique. I love everything about this pie, especially the little round crispy pepperonis. Grimaldi's is the absolute spot and it's bound to be poppin if NYC bans coal fired pizza (travesty).

Authentic Italian... As long as you order their homemade pasta. Please note that on the menu they have a specific section for the pasta they make by hand and the pasta they do not. I heard a table next to us saying something again to the positive taste homemade but they ordered from a section where it didn't say it was lol. What makes this place great is you can pretty much make whatever kind of dish you want when it comes to the pasta. They offer a variety of sauces as well. Surprisingly on this night, I wasn't very hungry and I ended up only getting their soup, which was also delicious. The chicken franchise was delicious, as well as the eggplant Parmesan. However, looking around at the restaurant, I can see the winner is the chicken Parmesan and the muscles. They seem to be very popular dishes. Not only is the food here great, but it is affordable. The only mention I will make as a knock against it is it gets extremely loud in there. This is not somewhere you want go for a date... Or if you intend on talking to anyone you're eating with and hearing what they have to say haha. That's only for the indoor section though. I'm sure outdoor is less intense with the sound. Only a few tables, cozy without feeling cramped. Service was excellent all night super friendly and welcoming. It's BYOB, which is a plus, and there's a liquor store about 30 seconds away. We grabbed a couple bottles of wine and they corked them for us. We went a bit off the beaten path with apps and ordered shrimp and scallops plus a Caesar salad. The shrimp and scallops were phenomenal, easily the standout, and the Caesar was solid. For mains, the pasta setup is great, almost like a create-your-own. I went with veal rigatoni in vodka sauce, and it was unreal. Honestly an 11/10. You can mix and match sauces and proteins, which is a nice touch. Finished with coffee gelato, and they even brought out a free dessert, which was an awesome surprise. The staff really made the experience. Also worth noting: it's a quieter spot compared to a lot of Hoboken restaurants, so if you want a cozy place where you can actually hear your table talk, this is it. Exceeded expectations -- I'll definitely be back.

The space was not large, but they really made the most of it, offering a decent number of tables with reasonable space between them. My friend and I were quickly seated and immediately greeted by a charming server that opened our bottle of wine (it's BYO) and offered us still or sparkling water. I had read in other reviews that you had to pay for water, so I was not surprised by the $6 bottle of Saratoga that wound up on our bill. In addition to our engaging server and the happening atmosphere, the food was similarly incredible. We decided to order a load of things to share, so that we could try a greater variety. We started with two appetizers that were seasonal Spring additions to the menu. The Hamachi Crudo included five thickly-sliced, tender pieces of Japanese yellowtail sitting in a broth of rhubarb aguachile and topped with white strawberries and basil seeds. It was an unique blend that we would not have expected to work, but boy was it delicious! The sweet toppings infused a load of flavor into an otherwise mild fish. We also enjoyed the Fava-mole, a creamy puree of fava beans studded with balls of hand-pulled mozzarella and pea tendrils, all drizzled with zesty ramp oil. I had not been sure what to expect from the dish, but it offered fresh, bright garden flavors. We also decided to share a pasta course and an entree. The Fettuccini was tossed with spring truffles and maitakes in a light, yet heavily aromatic, wild mushroom cream sauce. It was one of the best dishes I had had in quite some time. Then, as we were waiting on our seafood entree, we received a second pasta, courtesy of the Chef. I had mentioned that I had heard rave reviews about Flour from a server at Heirloom Kitchen, a top NJ restaurant. Apparently, our waiter had let the Chef know about that glowing praise, and the kitchen further verified that positivity with the generous gesture. In fact, they wound up sending out the Linguine with white clam sauce, razor clams, and wild ramps, the other dish about which I had been most curious anyway. Well, it was another winner! It was garlicky, herbaceous, and rich with flavors of the sea. Speaking of seafood, we next received the Branzino 'Bahn mi', a perfectly cooked piece of Mediterranean sea bass with Vietnamese sausage and pickled vegetables. The branzino's crispy skin and flaky, moist interior were excellent, and we loved all of the other smoky and briny flavors on the plate. After all of that excellent food, we would have loved to try one of their appealing desserts, but we were just too full. Between the ambiance, welcoming vibe, and delicious cuisine, our Flour experience was simply divine! It has now became one of my favorite restaurants in the area, and I cannot wait to try their pizza at some point as well.

In terms of the dishes, great execution. The toast and spicy-ish salad were great. Just wish the salad had a bit more of a punch or zing to meet the name. The pasta dishes were pretty great as well. I recommend the Mexican street corn as well as the mushroom linguine dish. The mafaldine missed the mark and needed a bit more citrus and a bit more peppercorn. The dessert was okay. Tasted more like corn bread than olive oil cake. The olive oil used seemed to not be earthy or robust enough to punch through. Overall, worth a try. May have been an off day, but I'd still be picky on what dishes make sense to actually try.
