    Spectacular Pizza

We did the carbonara and the spectacular pizza and it was PHENOMENAL. 10/10. Also we sat out side and the ambiance was incredible. I'll admit service is a little slow but not enough to hinder our experience. We will be back here

It's been years since I have stopped back in and thankfully they redeemed themselves with the pizza! It's pretty good. I've dined in and ordered using Slice app for pick-up. Bread quality is delish and everything tastes made to order. It's around 23$+ for a small pie depending what the toppings are. I usually get the more expensive pies and feel they are so worth it. Would continue to order the pizza here! Have yet to try pasta again.. but a lot of people around us seemed to love a lot of other items. Would recommend if you live on this side of town. Note: they do not take reservations on Fridays.

Another pleasure to review after a spate of nasty places and owners (Ridgewood) excellent Panello with food, service, ambiance and value. Another Hoboken home run Italian with naturally risen pizza and bread so beautifully done. Also homemade pasta and nice starters The pizza dough and bread they give you uses sour dough technique - as all the high end places are doing and was the original method. It's not sour tho. Naturally risen product yields far more tasty and lighter bread which is pure and deep in flavor and much better for the digestion and gut. Look it up. But the toppings and ingredients here are super fresh and top-tier so the pizzas and pastas are very much like you'd get in Italy. Also the burrata here one of the best around - served over nicely breaded eggplant. The wide pappardelle with porcini and shitake so good, they added pan fried prosciutto which added a bit more salt than was necessary tho. Orriechette with sausage perfect - like grandmas, and the carbonara excellent. Salads wonderful, dressed perfectly and again, super fresh. The top off of the experience was the Canolo. Nearly impossible to find the real deal anywhere in US even at the famous Italian pastry shops where the Canoli cream is thick like wall paper paste and far more sweet than creamy. Not here - here just like southern Italy and Sicily where the ricotta is lightly sweetened and still creamy, milky and perfect. And the shell is wonderfully crisp and tasty, not like the soggy toilet paper tube at many other places. To me, good canolo is almost as good as ... - well you get the picture. Certainly sets up the mood (nothing pisses me off more than a crappy meal) - so last night was a good nite - if you get my drift ... Lots of love in the product here. Like some other great places in Hoboken the real deal. Nice friendly staff too. Recommended.

Still a great place for pizza and pasta! Always enjoy the cacio e pepe and carbonara. We sometimes share as an appetizer then get a few pizzas. Red one and white one!

Hoboken has a lot of competition when it comes to italian/pizza places and I like each in there own ways. Ambiance and quality is what comes to mind on this gem! The pizza is very delicious and you can taste the quality in the ingredients. They also are located on the very west part of hoboken which is typically less crowded and quieter than the other areas here. I love sitting in their outdoor seating at night, great place for a date to have quiet conversation too. Pro tip, they make their bread in house, order some fresh!

Honestly had a great meal a few months ago, that I talked it up to my foodie friends. Went back tonight with a group of 5, our main courses were never cooked. My fiancé had went inside to ask where they were. A few seconds later 3 pasta dishes came out then we were told 5 mins until pizzas come out. This was after the table next to us was told their pizza was forgotten and it just went in the oven and only takes 3 mins. It was either new owners or new water or dough, but aside from the service, the food was wildly disappointing in comparison to what was served just back in August.

The gold standard of wood fired oven pizza. Ridiculously delicious creative hand crafted recipes are to die for. Pasta and appetizers were also out of this world. Would eat here every night if I could.

I'm not even going to do a big review on them because it's not worth the time. But ya pretty much i was hoping my cacio de Pepe would be worth the waiters bad attitude, but it wasn't. It was noodles and pepper. No other type of flavor.

If I could give this place 6 stars I would!!! Let's start with ambiance. Nice cute Italian wood brick oven restaurant at a corner in the cute city of Hoboken. Wine store is so conveniently located next to it, that you can grab a bottle before walking in. Onto the SERVICE, which was impeccable! We had the pleasure of having the lovely servers Cagatay and Elie, who kindly served us throughout the night and accommodated my party on a busy Friday. I had the opportunity to also meet with the chef, Basak, and the owner, Iggy. Basak made our incredible pasta dishes (papardelle and penne vodka). You can tell how passionate and hard she works to make the costumers happy. The truffle pizza was also so delicious and fresh of oven! The owner is incredibly sweet, born from southern Italian family, who takes pride in his business and employees. I truly love this establishment. If you are in Hoboken this is a must try restaurant. See photos for what we ordered.

Amazing pizza and the vibe was so nice in there! Service was super duper fast and the waiters were friendly. Really enjoyed the buratta pizza. The artichoke appetizer was also pretty good. The bread was probably the most memorable

Very cute rustic local Italian eatery. The pizza was thin and perfectly portioned. Was quiet for a drizzly Sunday night but I would return any day of the week for that pizza! They did have other food options I just didn't eat them. Sorry!

Authentic Italian... As long as you order their homemade pasta. Please note that on the menu they have a specific section for the pasta they make by hand and the pasta they do not. I heard a table next to us saying something again to the positive taste homemade but they ordered from a section where it didn't say it was lol. What makes this place great is you can pretty much make whatever kind of dish you want when it comes to the pasta. They offer a variety of sauces as well. Surprisingly on this night, I wasn't very hungry and I ended up only getting their soup, which was also delicious. The chicken franchise was delicious, as well as the eggplant Parmesan. However, looking around at the restaurant, I can see the winner is the chicken Parmesan and the muscles. They seem to be very popular dishes. Not only is the food here great, but it is affordable. The only mention I will make as a knock against it is it gets extremely loud in there. This is not somewhere you want go for a date... Or if you intend on talking to anyone you're eating with and hearing what they have to say haha. That's only for the indoor section though. I'm sure outdoor is less intense with the sound. We will definitely be back!

Only a few tables, cozy without feeling cramped. Service was excellent all night super friendly and welcoming. It's BYOB, which is a plus, and there's a liquor store about 30 seconds away. We grabbed a couple bottles of wine and they corked them for us. We went a bit off the beaten path with apps and ordered shrimp and scallops plus a Caesar salad. The shrimp and scallops were phenomenal, easily the standout, and the Caesar was solid. For mains, the pasta setup is great, almost like a create-your-own. I went with veal rigatoni in vodka sauce, and it was unreal. Honestly an 11/10. You can mix and match sauces and proteins, which is a nice touch. Finished with coffee gelato, and they even brought out a free dessert, which was an awesome surprise. The staff really made the experience. Also worth noting: it's a quieter spot compared to a lot of Hoboken restaurants, so if you want a cozy place where you can actually hear your table talk, this is it. Exceeded expectations -- I'll definitely be back.

Linguine and clams was so bad it was pretty much inedible. Again just beware, a high price point for this dish. Shrimp marinara fra Diablo was definitely spicy and was solid. It would be ideal if there was more pasta though, so make sure to request that (although you really shouldn't have to) Pasta w/ shrimp/clams/mussels was good THE DRINK: Can't remember the wine, but the Negroni before dinner wasn't good, and seemed like someone didn't measure, but free poured

I…read morehad been eager to try their pies, as well as their full meals, but only just made it to their dimly lit, hip and happening main dining room. The space was not large, but they really made the most of it, offering a decent number of tables with reasonable space between them. My friend and I were quickly seated and immediately greeted by a charming server that opened our bottle of wine (it's BYO) and offered us still or sparkling water. I had read in other reviews that you had to pay for water, so I was not surprised by the $6 bottle of Saratoga that wound up on our bill. In addition to our engaging server and the happening atmosphere, the food was similarly incredible. We decided to order a load of things to share, so that we could try a greater variety. We started with two appetizers that were seasonal Spring additions to the menu. The Hamachi Crudo included five thickly-sliced, tender pieces of Japanese yellowtail sitting in a broth of rhubarb aguachile and topped with white strawberries and basil seeds. It was an unique blend that we would not have expected to work, but boy was it delicious! The sweet toppings infused a load of flavor into an otherwise mild fish. We also enjoyed the Fava-mole, a creamy puree of fava beans studded with balls of hand-pulled mozzarella and pea tendrils, all drizzled with zesty ramp oil. I had not been sure what to expect from the dish, but it offered fresh, bright garden flavors. We also decided to share a pasta course and an entree. The Fettuccini was tossed with spring truffles and maitakes in a light, yet heavily aromatic, wild mushroom cream sauce. It was one of the best dishes I had had in quite some time. Then, as we were waiting on our seafood entree, we received a second pasta, courtesy of the Chef. I had mentioned that I had heard rave reviews about Flour from a server at Heirloom Kitchen, a top NJ restaurant. Apparently, our waiter had let the Chef know about that glowing praise, and the kitchen further verified that positivity with the generous gesture. In fact, they wound up sending out the Linguine with white clam sauce, razor clams, and wild ramps, the other dish about which I had been most curious anyway. Well, it was another winner! It was garlicky, herbaceous, and rich with flavors of the sea. Speaking of seafood, we next received the Branzino 'Bahn mi', a perfectly cooked piece of Mediterranean sea bass with Vietnamese sausage and pickled vegetables. The branzino's crispy skin and flaky, moist interior were excellent, and we loved all of the other smoky and briny flavors on the plate. After all of that excellent food, we would have loved to try one of their appealing desserts, but we were just too full. Between the ambiance, welcoming vibe, and delicious cuisine, our Flour experience was simply divine! It has now became one of my favorite restaurants in the area, and I cannot wait to try their pizza at some point as well.

Although we came at presumably off peak (5:30), the service and attention to detail was a miss. I can't imagine how much more it could fall off during peak hours. In terms of the dishes, great execution. The toast and spicy-ish salad were great. Just wish the salad had a bit more of a punch or zing to meet the name. The pasta dishes were pretty great as well. I recommend the Mexican street corn as well as the mushroom linguine dish. The mafaldine missed the mark and needed a bit more citrus and a bit more peppercorn. The dessert was okay. Tasted more like corn bread than olive oil cake. The olive oil used seemed to not be earthy or robust enough to punch through. Overall, worth a try. May have been an off day, but I'd still be picky on what dishes make sense to actually try.
