    Quiche and fries
    Rocio T.

Excellent food and great portions. I felt like having fries and good thing I asked, so fresh and crispy outside but moist inside, yes fries, were really delicious and masala chai was out of this world. Will be going back for sure. Need to try more dishes yum!

This is a pleasant cafe on Washington street. They have indoor and outdoor seating. A decent size menu and various coffee choices and flavors. I went with the homemade quiche and loved it. The service was great. Although it is a small cafe they can accommodate bigger parties it seems.

Was walking around in Hoboken and found this cute restaurant that serves breakfast. We ordered the fruity crepe and eggs Benedict. Both were pretty good. The crepe tasted like most crepes I've had, nothing special but I didn't expect anything spectacular. The eggs Benedict was cooked perfectly. The potato side had an unusual flavor (kind of metallic). I also ordered a chai latte, which was pretty much watery milk, I didn't like it. I wish there was more flavor. The service was really good, waiters were kind and super funny! I'll most likely come back here to try their other food. Side note: Vince Vaughan and Joe Manganiello were dining next to us and apparently this has been their go to spot.

Very limited menu options, nothing wowed me and food was mediocre at best. We got eggs at home

Small, cozy brunch place with great breakfast/lunch options. Stopped by with a friend to catch up and without a reservation, we were seated. There is an area near the front that can seat larger parties, but the restaurant mainly has smaller tables. I got the croque madame which was good and very very filling.

La Bouche is very cute inside and a great place to go for brunch or lunch with one or two other people - it is not suitable for a larger group. I went for brunch and ordered the mushroom crepe (no ham), a side of potatoes, and a latte. Although I generally enjoyed my meal, all of my food was relatively bland and could have used more seasoning. I would still recommend stopping by if you are looking for a nice and cozy brunch spot. I do have to mention that there were practically no vegan options on the breakfast/brunch menu, so be warned if that is your situation.

The food is hot and straight forward. The service is prompt and quick. It's tiny inside so I would suggest just two person party there is meter parking outside.

This place is fantastic. It's so cute on the inside and there's so many great breakfast and lunch options. We got the avocado toast with a fried egg and I couldn't recommend it more! The potatoes were delightful as well. As a spicy girl I really appreciate how they leave hot sauce on every table. LOVE YOU LA BOUCHE.

Cute little cafe on Washington street! There's a few tables inside and more seating outdoors by the entrance. - Service was very quick, we had a 12pm reservation for brunch on Sunday. I'd recommend making a reservation, pretty much every table was full. - $3 per person for BYOB, but they don't uncork your bottle...so you're basically paying $3 per person for an ice bucket. That's on top of paying for mimosa mix. - Food was good! I ordered the cheddar and bacon omelet, which was a large portion and came with potatoes on the side. The bacon was on top of the omelet instead of inside, which was interesting. - The potatoes weren't your typical breakfast potato, tasted closer to a potato salad (I prefer mine crispier like home fries, but they were still fine). Overall I think I'd come back in the future (maybe not for BYOB though). The croissant breakfast sandwich looked very tempting and I was told their lattes are amazing!

I finally got a chance to stop and try the new location and had such a great experience! La Bouche used to be tucked away off of the main ave and I very vaguely remember stopping in for brunch years back. This new location on Washington had wonderful service, a very cute interior and a menu of my dreams. I met my friend for lunch and was so happy when she suggested La Bouche. I started with a London Fog (my newest tea craze) and loved that it wasn't made too sweet. We spent a while catching up so it took us a bit long to decide on an order but our waitress never rushed us. I ended up getting the warm goat cheese salad topped with grilled chicken and it was delicious! The big heap of warm fried goat cheese was incredible and the chicken helped the salad become a perfectly filling and hearty lunch. I also loved the balsamic vinaigrette that it was mixed with. A perfect spot if you are looking for a nice lunch and great coffee/tea.

I had a lovely experience at this adorable and quaint cafe! I remember seeing La Bouche on a more quiet street in Hoboken, so I was surprised to pass by their store front while walking down Washington Ave. I was meeting a friend for lunch and coffee and La Bouche seemed like a perfect pick. The inside is super tiny and cozy. Think exposed brick and hanging string lights and greenery. I could easily see myself posting up for hours and getting work done here. There are a few tables set up and it was easy to socially distance from other customers. The menu is pretty large and has a variety of brunch and lunch options with a french influence. Sweet and savory crepes, omelettes, croques, breakfast and lunch sammies and more! So much sounded good that it was tough to choose -- especially between sweet and savory! I went with a savory crepe and it was literally as large as an entire dinner plate. The crepe was stuffed with swiss, ham, mushrooms and roasted peppers and it was incredibly satisfying. My friend ordered a salad that looked fresh and delicious and came topped with lots of grilled chicken and goat cheese. Service was friendly and speedy, coffee was strong and overall this was a relaxing and delicious dining experience. I find myself in Hoboken for work every now and again, and if I'm looking for a coffee or lunch spot I will certainly add La Bouche to the list.

How I want to love this place more than I did. Entering the restaurant , it's a cute French place beautifully decorated. However was very stuffy and humid so we opted to sit outside. The ambiance itself is very cute. The food looks amazing and has a great presentation but everything lacked greatly and left something to be desired. My French toast was dry, potatoes were not cooked well and the eggs lacked seasoning. My latte was not hot but lukewarm and the chai was not as flavorful as the usual chai lattes I get. The service was another disappointment. The woman who assisted my server was pleasant but my server himself (bald gentleman), was pretentious and not hospitable. His jokes were dry and not welcomed. Probably wouldn't go back. Stars are mostly for the nice presentation. Not worth the $75 we spent.

The duck confit was the only dish that fell a bit short for me. While the duck itself was cooked well, the flavor did not stand out much, and it was slightly too salty for my taste. There are 2 other Buvettes in Asia and one coming soon in London. Buvette does not do reservations. Buvette is a charming but tiny/cramped space, made more tiny within the last year by NYC's removal of pandemic-era street patios which greatly helped dining capacity. Buvette may sometimes have a few front sidewalk tables, and there's a tiny outdoor patio in the back. The tables and dishware are also tiny. There's a kitchen in the back, but some food is also prepared below the bar in front, where there seem to be some ovens. The food seems reliably consistent here. The menu is short but there are daily specials. I ordered a non-alcoholic ginger soda, crab tartine (a special), lobster a l'Americaine (lobster pot pie) and frites. The soda is always on the menu and is refreshing, with a nice snap of ginger. The crab tartine was fab, a fresh crab salad with avocado atop toast. The lobster pot pie was made in the under-bar oven, a small serving of lobster and veggies with a golden puff pastry topper. Delish. The frites were nicely crisp, served with an aioli. Service was okay, but my hot food took about 45 minutes to come out, apparently because my ticket was lost. Overall a pleasant meal, my first during this visit.

But it's legit around the corner from the Northwell Hospital on 7th Avenue in the Village. Cute setup and interior with little booths and fake lavender popping up behind you, lovely floral twined around a pillar. It's giving cozy cute french cafe. They do have an affordable-ish drink menu for brunch that I was tempted to indulge in but I restrained myself. It's a 2-for-1 on $16 cocktails. So $8 a pop I guess. But they are more unique sounding cocktails like the Mimosa Royale, Cafe Framboise, and Brunch Au Paradis, and Lavender Margaritas all sounded very tempting. For my entree I was torn between the Filet Mignon sandwich, truffle mac and cheese, and the Croque Monsieur or Madame. Ultimately went with the Croque Monsieur, which I kind of wish in hindsight I ordered something else. It was decent. There was nothing overtly wrong with it. It just wasn't kicking. I've had better Croque Monsieurs/Madames. Maybe it was the cheese or bechamel. Maybe it was the white ham or bread that just didn't taste fresh as I got closer to the edges. Who knows. The fries were also seriously soggy. My friend got the same thing but the Madame version and asked for an overcooked egg since she does not eat or enjoy runny eggs. They also couldn't substitute bacon for ham on the sandwich but convinced her that she could still buy a side of bacon. The egg with no surprises arrived completely runny and they had to recook it and I was surprised that the side of bacon came to the table in bite sized bacon bits instead of you know. . . . like strips of bacon. Small things. But I wasn't wowed by the restaurant. I'd return to try something else at brunch or maybe try their happy hour some day. But another thing that kind of veered me away was their anti cash attitude. They accept basically only card but will accept cash if it's in the exact amount. That's the tricky word around way of saying we generally don't take cash with making it still legal.
