We recently visited this new location on 82nd st because we love the Meridian location but it's so far from us. The inside is beautiful and the service was AMAZING! We arrived around 8am and they were not too busy yet (outdoor seating YAY!). We ordered and our food was out in no time. The food was perfect! Came here with my mom over the weekend for brunch. Atmosphere was pretty busy but everyone was calm at the same time. My girlfriend and I came here on a Sunday afternoon. We're told there's a 25min wait..No problem totally expected on a Sunday. Then 5 minutes later they sit us in a FREEZING cold back room with 6-8 wide open tables. Server was ok but in the weeds with 3 tables. We order an appetizer that never came out until our food came out! Then we're told our appetizer was given to another table?...The food was worse than IHOP!! My lord! Overcooked omelette that had barely any cheese on it. My girlfriend ordered french toast that was so hard on the edges, you couldn't even chew it... Definitely don't recommend and won't be back! I'd recommend IHOP over this location any day! read more

At first the vibe is First Watch and a modern Cracker Barrel had a baby so confused expectations. The menu had some southern roots with a modern take and healthy options so I started to get my bearing. Then I noticed a gluten-friendly menu option and was ecstatic. I decided on the Gluten-friendly Bourbon Street Pancakes with chicken sausage. They were delightful and had a lot of flavor without being overly sweet. Positive change is electric!! Have been going to this location for breakfast over the past year off and on. Today there was a whole new positive vibe as soon as you walk in the door. There was energy, smiles, we were acknowledged and greeted immediately, within a few moments we were seated. The staff was friendly, smiling, happy and super attentive, the food came to the table quickly and was delish. The service continued to be attentive following up on our experience, satisfaction with food and making sure drinks were refilled. Before going to work I was wanting, to have brunch. I found this spot and It's a beautiful place, there is outside seating. They serve alcohol and their alcohol menu looked amazing, I will definitely be back to try a few! I ordered the Eggs Benedict which my favorite breakfast food, and the protein is thicker than the normal but I love that because I usually feel hungry a couples after an eggs beni probably because there's usually not a lot of protein. The side of potatoes they're smaller cuts so they make it crunchy. I personally love crunchy but I know some people may have a texture issue with that they offer other options if don't like the potatoes. I'm also fascinated by the presentation of the tea. My server was also amazing. She gave the best customer service and she knew I was almost rushing because I had to go to work and she was able to execute. It goes a long way. Food took 30 minutes to arrive at our table. Cinnamon Roll French Toast left a lot to be desired and used to be delicious. They would not take my "Buy 10 get one free" cards because they said the punches had to be all on one card. Bad policy that I've never experienced anywhere else. This location has been nothing but great for us usually. The waiters and waitresses are amazing and the food is great. But I recommend not coming here if you have a party greater than 4. They are not very accommodating, and today we had a very poor experience with a very rude door greeter (maybe manager? He didn't seem very concerned with much and very cold in customer interaction). We called to see if we could get a reservation but were told no, but we could get put on the waitlist. That is okay, that is their practice. BUT this manager said if another large party arrives, even a minute earlier than us, then they would get the table, even if we were in front of them on the waitlist. In our experience, that is not how the waitlist worked when we were a party or 2 or 3. Even if we were there before others on the waitlist, we had to wait. When we tried to ask about any solution because one of our party had somewhere to be at noon (trying on wedding dresses! So poor girl was already stressing), we were again met with the cold, annoyed manager/door greeter. We asked about putting tables together or being close together, and he basically said no sorry. Eventually, we were sat split up (two small booths facing back to back, when 4-top tables were free nearby) and the waiter wasn't even told we were a party of 8. Again, the wait staff are amazing and the food is always great, but the welcomer/manager could have matched that atmosphere of the place too, and I recommend that any parties of 5 or more find somewhere else to go for brunch if you plan to do anything else with your day (spent 2 hours total there, some had to take our food to go and leave earlier than that to be at the bridal place across the street). Lastly, I hope that man treats his coworkers better and interacted with them warmer than he does guests. read more

A friend and I met for breakfast around 8am. Barely anyone in the restaurant since it was so early. I ordered the Country bowl. The atmosphere was nice. It was scrambled eggs with ham onion and tomatoes over cheddar grits. The menu stated there would be an oversized biscuit baked bacon and gravy. None of those items were included. About half way through I remembered there should have been gravy and I told the server. She brought gravy that was barely warm and quite lumpy like it hadn't been stirred well. I didn't remember until I got home that a biscuit and bacon should have been included. I did not have to pay for my meal. But I was pretty disappointed with the meal. The place wasn't busy at all so I didn't understand the error. Also my friend ordered waffles with strawberries on the side (they were not on the side). Also sausage and soft scrambled eggs. It took quite some time for the eggs and sausage to come out. We were told because soft scrambled eggs take longer. Um that may have worked with someone that's not an excellent cook but we both are so no. My first time was an excellent experience with shrimp and grits. This time well not a great experience. My friend didn't have to pay for her sausage and eggs. We didn't come for free food we came for a good meal. read more

Eggs are the kind that probably came from the carton because they're pure yellow and not even scrambled. This food cost too much to be this nasty. Southern inspired food. Second time coming here and I highly recommend it. Dishes are fairly priced. $12-$18 for everything. The hot honey sauce they gave me to put on top of the chicken tenders was good but I wished they tossed the chix in the sauce before bringing it out. I understand letting the customer put as much as they want because some people are very sensitive to "spicy" but I know for next time to order more sauce. I wish they would've gave me another waffle because paying $14-$16ish for 3 tenders and one waffle don't really sit right with me. I mean don't get me wrong, it was good and i ate it all but another waffle wouldn't have hurt. The shrimp and grits was really good too. They had a good amount of shrimp throughout the meal. I met two friends for breakfast this week, and we thoroughly enjoyed our food and our experience. I had the Bourbon Street Pancakes. I was happy the bananas, pecans, and gooey drizzle was all throughout the stack, not just on top. The eggs and bacon (made crispy just as i ordered!!) were just right, too. Went here this morning. Was told it was a 35 minute wait for a table for 2 and waited over an hour. Sat down and waited 20 min for someone to take our order. Ordered and waited 45 minutes for our food which was just omelets. It took another 30 minutes to get out check taken and completed. When we got home my friends credit card had been charged twice. Overall 2 1/2 for 2 omelets. We spoke with the manager while we were there. Seemed to be a normal busy for them. Won't be going back there again. read more
