We had a great time at brunch at Patachou! We have a gluten allergy and they did amazing making sure there was no contamination. They also have local bread made that is gluten free and using that for the cinnamon toast was delicious! The service was friendly even thought they were busy on a Saturday morning. We always have a great time and yummy meal at Patachou.

Great service, great food and interesting dining rooms are what you find in any of the Cafe Patachou restaurants around town. This location is somewhat hidden, maybe only the locals know about it. The dining room is upscale. I was immediately greeted when I walked in. The restaurant is pretty loud but still inviting. Our server was fantastic. Didn't rush us, but was attentive and quite friendly. They have a self serve coffee bar in the back. I ordered the Cafe Cobb Patachou Salad. The portion was large with lots of fresh lettuce, avocado, bacon, chicken. The dressing was tangy and good. I loved this salad. There is parking out front. I'll be back.

Cafe Patachou is the perfect place to meet up with friends. The whole restaurant is filled with bright light and gives off a warm and cozy vibe. They have plenty of seating since they have an indoor/outdoor space with heaters as well. The food is always great here. I had the Patawich breakfast sandwich. It has sausage, cheese, and a pesto Mayo that was so good! It comes alone, though, so order a side if an English muffin sandwhich won't fill you up! The cinnamon toast is so good, but pretty buttery, so make sure you are in for a rich (almost) dessert when ordering! The best part about Patachou? The self-serve coffee bar They even have a rotating flavor of the day. It's been blueberry one time I went and this time it was snickerdoodle, YUM!

Dropped by Cafe Patachou for a nice brunch and I personally loved it. The vibes were great, very relaxed and intimate. We got to sit outside for brunch and I got to eat a salmon bagel (which was amazing btw) Our server was amazing and so friendly! Will definitely come here again.

A must try in Indy/surrounding areas. Patachou is a solid choice regardless of which location you visit! Every location is cute, clean and the staff is always happy! Pictured is their vegan sandwich option and their salmon salad. The dressing on the salad is more oil based so we decided to add more lemon, but that was just personal preference! Of course it is not a proper experience without an order of their fries and some of their fresh coffee!!

A real local gem in Carmel. I was here for a work meeting and enjoyed some great coffee and delicious food. I had the Cuban breakfast bowl with eggs on top and a side of cinnamon toast. The cinnamon toast was wonderful and very delicious. The Cuban bowl has the right mixture of chorizo, black beans, and rice. Vibe here was pretty modern and friendly. Would highly recommend!

Had lunch here on a Saturday. As expected, it was busy and there was a wait. We were seated inside after a 20-minute wait and our server was cordial. For lunch, we had the tuna salad sandwich on wheat with chips and a green goddess salad. All was fresh and tasty. I also enjoyed a lavender bubbly cocktail which I highly recommend. If you go here at a busy time of day, set your expectations for a hard-to-hear / hard-to-have a conversation experience. The good side of that is normalcy is starting to return!

Had a great experience at Cafe Patachou this afternoon! I took the brunch route and ordered the Avocado Toast, and my friend ordered the BLT. We both were satisfied with our meals and both loved the bread! It was definitely busy when we were there, as to be expected on a Sunday afternoon. Our server wasn't super talkative or personable, but he was very efficient and brought us our food out quickly. I would definitely come back again to sit out on the patio at a less busy time.

We came for a late lunch and arrived 30 minutes before they closed so I was a little worried if we could get service or not. Our food was fresh and came out pretty fast. My wife loves the quinoa and the hamburger I got was pretty tasty. The ambiance is chill and the dress code is casual. This is my wife's favorite place to eat. She loves the healthy and veggie foods.

Luke was our server and he was super friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. We enjoyed being seated in his section! He described the Carrots appetizer as having a "100% success rate" which sounded hyperbolic but absolutely was not !! GET THE CARROTS! Even if you don't like cooked carrots (which I don't!) they are sooooo good and there's no other way to describe it. You just have to try it yourself. After the carrots, we thought it would be hard for the rest of the dishes to live up to that but our daily soup (always vegan) was so yummy! It was made with leeks/root vegetables and forbidden rice - absolutely delicious and very earthy! I was so pleased with just those two items, I could've stopped there and had a perfect experience. We both ordered the mapo tofu - and it was not like mapo tofu you'd get at a korean/chinese restaurant. It wasn't a saucy dish at all - in fact, it was intentionally dry - practically charred. It included rice cake which was interesting. I appreciated the charred/crispy texture with the chewy inside. I wouldn't order it again but if you like textured, spicy dishes you might enjoy it. Luke offered to get us something else but we were already full, so we declined. He also gave me a complimentary blueberry sorbet which was delicious and sooo fresh, and wished me a happy birthday! It was very delicious and necessary to rinse the palate. We had a great time and can't wait to come back when the patio opens up - we loved their mission to assist with providing job opportunities for autistic adults, too. It's a great restaurant with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere and phenomenal service.

The service - exceptional. We ordered the lemon drop martini, Elmo Cola, the Gatsby and liquid love affair. I asked for the liquid love affair to have a very light pour of alcohol and they obliged. Everyone loved their drinks. Even me. And I am NOT a drinker. We ordered shrimp cocktails, lobster bisque, steaks and lobster. Everything so good. My son's steak was overdone but they happily remade it and ALL the sides that came with it. Just immaculate service. We also ordered the chocolate mousse pie. We asked our server to place the candles we had brought on top. Lemme tell you. The service. Just so good. She realized they were sparkler candles so she waited to light it until she was at our table. We did ask the manager if we could present our son his gift during dinner. It was a firearm and we didn't wanna cause any drama or "unsafe" feelings even though, obvi, it wouldn't have been loaded. We did want to respect the establishment and their other patrons. He kindly declined and, of course, we understood. Can we talk about service? Just so exceptional. Customer service for me will make or break any experience. The bills was... A LOT. The event takes place on the patio area, it's small and intimate. It is great for networking and mingling and making new connections. The staff was absolutely amazing and engaged with the crowd the entire night. I felt the vibe that they really love their job. They don't let you know about the menu prior to , which I was a bit apprehensive about but it turned out great! For starters we had some chunky guac, watermelon pico, and some kind of verde salsa with chips. 10/10! The Watermelon pico was new to me and very refreshing!! Next we had some steak fajitas with rice. I was not a fan of the rice and the steak wasn't seasoned to my liking but still a good dish! Lastly we had dessert that put me in the mind of being at the state fair. It was a pastry fried (think like funnel cake taste) and fruit ...so yummy! Now the margaritas! Enjoy as much it as little as you like! I loved experimenting and trying different combos. My favorite was the mango spicy flavor! They said they have these events quarterly or so and I can't wait to go to the next one!

When Plan A Falls Through, Sometimes You Find Something Better…read moreOur original restaurant choice was closed for the month. Time for a pivot. My father-in-law works downtown Noblesville and suggested we try Bar Ellis. Little did we know, we were about to stumble into one of the best dining experiences we'd had in a long time. Walking through the door, I was immediately struck by the interior. Historic brick walls met comfortable, chic modern design. The space was warmly lit and welcoming, and fortunately, so was the team at Bar Ellis. The hostess seated us quickly, and Grant, our server, arrived moments later with drink menus and a genuine smile. Then came the real challenge: helping my non-seafood-eating wife find a gluten-free option she'd actually enjoy. After a thoughtful conversation with Grant, she made her choice. I followed, excitedly ordering the salmon BLT. "Is this one any good?" I asked. Grant's face said it all. I was in for a treat. He wasn't exaggerating. My sandwich was one of the best I've ever had. The salmon was perfectly prepared. The bacon was crisp and full of flavor. The bread was toasted just right, crispy but not too thick. Every element worked in harmony: the crunch of the bread, the tenderness of the salmon, the crisp bacon, all elevated by a dill mayo that tied everything together. I know it's "just" an elevated BLT. But it's the best one I've ever had. I was genuinely sad when it was over. It was one of those rare meals that left me wishing I could be hungry all over again. As we finished, I sought out the manager, Chamron. She greeted me warmly and asked how everything was. After sharing my compliments about the food and service, I asked about the story behind Bar Ellis. She smiled and told me about two sisters and a brother-in-law, a chef with a passion for exceptional food and desserts, who dreamed of creating a restaurant that was both classy and hip. Then she shared something unexpected: Bar Ellis transforms on Friday and Saturday nights from 9 PM to midnight. Friday features karaoke, Saturday brings live music, and the whole place shifts to a 21-and-over scene. Even the lighting changes, creating a darker, moodier atmosphere. The scratch kitchen stays open throughout, so you won't miss out on that incredible food. I'm usually too old to be out that late, but I just might need to make an exception to experience this transformed space and enjoy that delicious salmon BLT again. If you're looking for a restaurant that's genuinely cool, serves exceptional food, and employs a team that actually cares about your experience, check out Bar Ellis in downtown Noblesville. You won't regret it.

He's a semifinalist for the Best Chef: Great Lakes (IL, IN, MI, OH) category. What an honor! I'm curious to see if he gets the medal, but even if not, hopefully this recognition will draw people to visit Lone Pine, because people really need to visit. I don't know how Lone Pine would describe its menu, but I would call it elevated comfort food. One of the things my table ordered was chicken piccata. When was the last time you saw chicken piccata on a menu?! It was delicious, and served with mashed potatoes and lettuce leaves that added a nice, fresh crunch to each bite. We also got the roasted salmon, which was served with fingerling potatoes in a pesto sauce, with arugula on the side. This, too, was delicious and rich, yet fresh. I ordered the short ribs, which came with polenta and caramelized pearl onions. The short ribs were just fatty enough, and the sauce that they were surrounded by was unctuous and wonderful to eat with the polenta. I guess I should have started this review by writing about our first course! We got the French onion soup, bloody Mary wedge salad and the Caesar salad. The Caesar salad at Lone Pine is probably the best Caesar salad that I've eaten in Carmel, and maybe in all of the Indianapolis area. The thing that Lone Pine does differently and spectacularly is that they use breadcrumbs and not croutons. That makes all the difference! Granted, it does look a bit like a pile of pencil shavings on a plate, but sometimes the dowdiest foods are the best-tasting foods. The result is a satisfyingly salty, crunchy, creamy, crispy salad that I couldn't stop eating. I know I will be back to Lone Pine for the Caesar salad. We ended our meal by sharing two desserts: the apple pie panna cotta and the Lone Pine chocolate cake. Both desserts were amazing, but the cake won us all over because it looked deceptively heavy, but it was light and airy, and came with slightly sweet whipped cream. The service at Lone Pine is exceptional. They pay attention to detail here, and all of the little things are taken care of. Our server gave us just enough time between courses. Our water was refilled unobtrusively. We didn't get asked whether we've dined there before (because who cares?) and the menu wasn't over-explained (thank goodness, because I can indeed read). One thing we also noticed that we appreciated: The music was just loud enough to hear it, but not loud enough to notice it too much! It's these little things that come together to make a great dining experience.

My first experience at the restaurant was decent, so I figured we would give it another shot. I recall my first meal being a bone-in pork chop that was overly salted. I'll make my review brief. The restaurant was not too busy but our service was fairly slow, two separate drink orders that were requested never made it to the table, the environment was noisy/music too loud, etc. I decided to go with something very basic for my food order. My thought was, "I'll see how good they are at doing something simple." I got the black and burger cooked to the chef's preferred temperature (medium). My burger came out dry/crumbly/crispy/well done. Yikes. The server did offer to provide a complimentary drink while he asked the chef to prepare another burger (a nice gesture). However, the second burger came out raw (see photo). I'm a medium rare steak guy but this was inedible. The fries were very good. I'm not typically someone who is overly critical of restaurants but for the amount of money you're paying for these meals, the food and service should be excellent. My two experiences were fair and poor. This is very unfortunate because I've visited the sister restaurants (Beholder and Milktooth) many times and have had nothing but great experiences at both. Probably the last time I'll go.
