Best Shrimp and Grits I've had in a long time and the catfish .... Now it is a little spicy well not to me but my husband definitely needed some water with it
I am usually not a catfish girl, but I had to try it! It was the perfect addition to a very hearty bowl of shrimp and grits. As I've shared in other reviews, I can be a little particular about my shrimp and grits. I need to be able to get a spoonful of grits alone, but this bad boy was LOADED with everything. I sometimes feel like I lose the essence of a thing when it has a lot going on - and that's the case here. Not bad at all. VERY flavorful, which I appreciated. It had a little kick, so maybe not for you if you don't like some spice. It's just a very busy dish. I also got the traditional breakfast and biscuits and gravy to take to family. They enjoyed it! It definitely looks like a Mexican restaurant. I tried looking it up and saw that the co-owner and chef (I think) is half Black, half Mexican, so that tracks alongside the name of the restaurant! I'd definitely go back and try other things. They also play great 90s R&B music if that's your jam.
Finally made it in! It's a great location off of keystone, and I loved how they have decorated it. They have a great menu selection, and I enjoyed my salmon and eggs Benedict and oj! Def want to come back and check out some other menu items!
I came for the catfish! I had heard so many things about the catfish and grits prior to coming. Actually, the dish is shrimp and grits, but you can add catish for a $5 upcharge. I don't eat shellfish, so I just got catfish. The dish comes with two huge catfish filets on top of a bed of grits with cheese, bacon, peppers, tomatoes, and spinach in a creamy sauce. Very generous portion and had pretty much a full meal left to take home! The restaurant was bigger than I was expecting, and very busy. The music was great, and our service was awesome as well. They also have a pretty large bar top in the back that you can easily miss if you don't already know. I ordered the crisp and chill cocktail that's made with tequila, cucumber puree, lime juice + agave. 10/10! My fiance got the espresso martini which was ok, but rather watery. Overall great experience and can't wait to go back!
My husband chose this restaurant. I was leery of the location and design of this "brunch" restaurant. It was great. All kinds and ages of people enjoying a good meal. I had an everyday breakfast which included eggs, potatoes , bacon And a waffle. Too much for me but my husband could eat the rest. He had the traditional huevos ranchero and said it was wonderful The restaurant was clean, tables wiped and silverware sparkled Our waiter was very attentive and checked back with more coffee several times. He asked if we had suggestions for the menu, we gave him a couple of suggestions. The bill was reasonable, coffee hot all the time. Good food and great service. Will we go back again? You betcha
First time here, at 12:30 on a weekday. Restaurant was fairly busy but we were able to walk in and seated immediately. There were a few items on the menu that were not available. I ended up ordering Huevos Divorciados which was excellent. The potatoes were seasoned perfectly, and eggs cooked over medium as ordered. My friend ordered catfish and fries. The fries were just perfect, soft inside and crispy outside with good flavor. We requested tartar sauce but they did not have any, they offered sriracha or a few varieties of hot sauce. There are several unique items on the menu. I observed plates of French toast being delivered and it looked delicious. I would like to return and try it.
This is the experience you're looking for when dining out. The food, the service, the environment - all 10/10. Our server, Johnathan, was friendly, funny, and knowledgeable; in an authentic way, not the "I'm doing this for tips" vibes some servers give off. The food came out quickly and correctly, even with modifications for allergies and dietary restrictions. He shared that everything is cooked to order, so I'd definitely recommend checking them out if you have special requirements as it's not an issue here. Everything was delicious! I wanted to come back the next day, but I did go home and immediately try to recreate the lychee margarita because it was The only thing I didn't see was the restroom but my sister went and didn't come back with anything bad to say, so I'm assuming it was up to par as well!
This was a new restaurant to me and my daughter wondered try it out. All the reviews looked great and we stopped there on a Sunday so it was a little busy but not hard to get a table. Our waitress was awesome and she took care of us very well and answered most of our questions quickly we enjoyed everything we ate and will definitely be back. My daughter got the flight of mimosas and these who actually could taste the champagne instead of just the juice so that was really good some of them it was hard to tell what the juice was and they changed the order of the way they said it so it's hard to tell but if you're gonna drink them all, it doesn't really matter. I had the classic breakfast combo with two over medium eggs, bacon, sausage, and French toast with hashbrowns. My daughter had the classic breakfast combo with two over medium eggs, bacon, sausage, and French toast with fried potatoes. She also got a side of catfish. That catfish was delicious light and flaky, etc. didn't need any tartar sauce. Also, both of our breakfast were really good and plenty of food for the cost of only $14. I believe our catfish was another seven dollars. There are so many other unique things to try. We did not branch out this time, but we will definitely be back. They have some wonderful pancake flavors like red velvet, lemon, blueberry, cinnamon roll, and waffles. I would also like to try some of the huevos rancheros and possibly the chicken and waffles. Everything was really good and the experience was really nice. The location was beautiful and they had the most unique dining room lights. Overall, I think everyone should go and enjoy this location. Amazing job to all that served us.

There was a long wait and quite a bit of chaos among the greeter and staff, which made the check-in process slower and a little confusing. Once we were seated, our server was amazing, the service was fast, and the menu had plenty of options for everyone. The food was fresh and flavorful, and the mimosas were the perfect touch. The restaurant is spacious with great music and a lively, diverse vibe. In the end, the overall experience was fun and satisfying.

And I added a piece of catfish that was delicious. My husband's pancakes were so fluffy (had to steal a few bites)! Staff was great and I had no complaints about our service. Mexican/American brunch spot here. Large exciting menu with loads of items from both cuisines. And even better, they do serve alcoholic beverages, if you'd like to get a head start on the day drinking. Portions were decent sized, food was delicious, drinks were good and the service left a little to be desired. But in the servers defense, she had to not only wait on our large party, but had additional tables also and that just makes it difficult. What's more they are group friendly here. I do recommend making a reservation or calling ahead and they will make accommodations for you and your group.

The soundtrack alone sets the tone, with 90s and early 2000s pop and hip hop mixes blasting like a carefully curated cantina playlist straight from YouTube DJs across the galaxy. Our party went all in. Chicken and Waffles, T Bone Steak and Eggs, and Country Fried Steak all landed on the table looking like they were plated by the Jedi Council itself. Presentation was on point, and the portions were absolutely massive. These are not Padawan sized meals. These are eat first, question your life choices later portions. Everything tasted great, comforting and satisfying in a way that makes you immediately understand why this place stays busy. The food came out hot, looked fantastic, and delivered exactly what you want from a proper breakfast or brunch mission. Between the music, the energy, and the sheer scale of the plates, Huevos Etc is a whole vibe. Come hungry, pace yourself, and trust the Force. This is a breakfast spot worth returning to.
My daughter suggested this place. I had no idea it was there. It's located in the strip mall near Walmart on Keystone. There is plenty of parking. We did have a reservation and apparently it' was good because it was pretty busy and they had several large parties. The menu has some really good stuff on there, not your typical breakfast at all. My order was shrimp and grits without the shrimp but replaced it with catfish. It was amazing!!!! They have R&B music playing which was a treat, I love when the music is right when eating just makes it a more enjoyable experience. They do have a full bar as well. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because the host wasn't very pleasant. She never once smiled and she had quite the attitude when she was seating me. Didn't feel very warm. On the flip side my server, I think her name was Yvette was amazing and has a very pretty smile.

the vibe inside is was great. their music playlist was 10/10. service and speed of service was excellent! our server was nice and even the others who came to help since we were a larger party. it was my mom's birthday and everyone there made her feel so special!!! there's a full bar at the back of the dining room with tv's so that's an option as well. i didn't love the food/my food. everyone else did! i ordered french toast; the portion size was large! bread was nice and thick. there were an array of meals on the table from catfish and grits to the tbone. read more

Amazing food, amazing service, cool vibe and the playlist is EVERYTHING!! What I love most is the unique menu. Not your average brunch spot. There are two restrooms and they are private. The women's restroom has a baby changer not sure about the men's. The restroom was clean, spacious and plenty of cleaning supplies. Huevo's Etc be bumping!!! It's definitely a lively atmosphere, and everyone is nice. Starting from checking in to this establishment, all the way to dining. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance. More than a few days, almost a week. We took our chances and arrived early, and I'm glad we did because this place gets busy quickly. It took us forever to decide what we wanted, but two of us got the shrimp and grits with catfish, another got the fish and grits, and the last person got a basic breakfast. We all had drinks we enjoyed, and the people behind us couldn't finish their pitcher of mimosas, so they gave it to us. I will say it's not often you visit a restaurant where the food is actually seasoned, but here at Huevo's, there is nothing lacking. They provided us with a chef's kiss. I will be going back for repeat business. Check them out on a day I'm not there, so you don't take my place on the wait list. LOL! read more
First time we tried to come, they didn't have any spots available and suggested a reservations. Initially I couldn't find away to make one but a few weeks later and they have a website and making a reservation was easy peasy! We were seated right at reservation time. Staf is nice and curtesy! The drinks are really good. We had what is like an espresso martini and the drink with mezcal ..both FIRE! Can't wait to explore the menu more. I tried the veggie omelette and side of fish. The fish is well seasoned and fried to perfection! The omelette was just ok and the hasbrowns were good. We also tried the shrimp and grits and that was delicious!! Visited yesterday for lunch and enjoyed the food so much! We stopped by closer to the end of lunch, we were sat quickly and our server got us our drinks promptly. We ordered two entrees and a pancake to split. We love trying a little bit of multiple items. The shrimp and grits, with the catfish filets, were BOMB! I would highly suggest trying this item on the menu! We will definitely be back, everything was delicious. read more
We were greeted when we walked in. Everyone was super friendly. The menu was a little pricey on certain things. The pancake batter has eggs in it, so I couldn't get it. I opted for the avocado toast. It was $17 and came with a protein and eggs. I asked if they could substitute it for grits and potatoes since I dont eat meat or eggs and was told no. I'm not sure what the issue was. Paying $17 for a piece of toast was a little insane. The restaurant was cute and clean. They had a full bar but didnt offer any mocktails so I ordered an orange juice. read more

It's been a long time since I've found a great brunch spot and this is it! Music going, drinks flowing, food hitting....checks all of my boxes. I ordered the shrimp and grits with catfish fillets on top and I'm still thinking about it. The most perfectly seasoned and fried catfish as well as wonderfully prepared shrimp and grits....I'm a fan. We ordered mimosas to go along and they were fresh and delicious. Drink responsibly. My wife and I took a day date to this spot for brunch and we were blown away! The food is absolutely delicious. The music ready set the vibe off right. Bottom line, my food was delicious. No crumbs remained of my catfish and fries. I came in thinking I would do brunch. But I took the servers suggestion and got a flight of Mimosas. It was sweet like Boone's Farm (I drank it all) so I ended up ordering savory. I saw someone's catfish and grits and it inspired me to order the catfish but with fries. It wasn't on the menu like that but the server made it work. There weren't many veggie options as sides. The menu changed so there were several items they don't have (like soup or Brussels sprouts). It was super busy but they got us our food in a timely manner. Gotta say the atmosphere was great and a little unexpected. I decided it's a Mexican/Soul Food fusion. The dining area is big and has a full bar in the back. The decor is a little DIY but cute. Looking forward to trying out the breakfast items. read more

Great spot for brunch. The restaurant gives me grown up vibes with the music but it is a family friendly restaurant. Be sure to make a reservation or get there when they open because it stays busy. I ordered the shrimp and grits add catfish. The shrimp, grits and catfish were seasoned to perfection. My only request would be that the grits be a little thicker. The catfish was actual catfish not the swai that most restaurants pass off as catfish. I also ordered an expresso martini to wash it all down with, it was tasty.I will definitely be back for more. read more
Huevos Etc ... baby. Y'all did your thing. The food was amazing. It's been a while since I been to a restaurant and wanna come back and try everything on the menu. My friends and I decided to try them out for brunch and it did not disappoint. We started off with a strawberry mimosa pitcher which gave us at least 4 glasses each. It was my type of strong and the flavor was there. The service was quick and the waitress we had was very helpful and polite. Had great suggestions and answered every question we had. The place it self was cute in decor and the music slapped. The vibe gave ATL brunch. I had the shrimp and grits and added the catfish to it. You MUST add the catfish with it. The roux was flavorful, the shrimp were big and juicy and the catfish was crispy and well seasoned. The whole dish was a 10/10. According to my friends their dishes were equally satisfying. I had a good time at this new breakfast spot! I went on Sunday morning it seemed pretty busy but the wait time wasn't very long at all before getting seated. They had an urban DJ mix playing that made you wanna dance a lil bit. My server was really good and making sure we had everything we needed! I ordered the All In One breakfast which was pretty big I had to cut it in half. & FYI they do have kid options as well, it's just not on the menu! But overall definitely worth a try. read more

Nice looking brunch/breakfast spot with great music. It was definitely a vibe but not too loud where conversation can still be had. I came on a week day around noon so the place was pretty empty and our food came quick. Our server was very friendly and helpful. The mimosa flight (about $12) was good. I love when you can try new flavors of mimosa besides orange juice. My favorites were the passion fruit and peach, but all were tasty. I got the T-bone steak and eggs, à la mexicana (w/ peppers and onions), which was delicious . I thought the steak would be thicker but it turned out to be the perfect size and just enough food. Just wish the potato's were cooked a little longer, a few of them were still hard. The Huevos Skillet came with bacon and chorizo on top of plantains and potatoes with eggs, it was delicious and filled with flavor. You can also add other meat options as well. Overall I'd give it a 3.5/5! Would recommend and return! read more
this place is mediocre at best . came here on a friday afternoon for brunch , as they had happy hour drink specials advertised on their instagram . i decided to sit at the bar and not hold up a table . the music is loud and uncensored as if it were a club . the drinks were decent , but not special priced as advertised . the server/bartender checked on me as needed and she did a great job. the chicken for the chicken and waffles lacked flavor . it had bacon stuffed into the chicken , however the bacon was so flimsy due to being half done . when the my brought the check , they bring a piece of candy , and i thought that was cute . overall it's a decent place for an early meal . but if you see anything advertised on their social media , confirm it's correct before ordering read more

I went to have brunch here with a group for my moms birthday! All of our food was cold and just very subpar. My brother's chicken was not cooked all the way through. My sister's Birria was cold to the touch. The service was fine but it was very slow and inattentive. When we mentioned to the server that our food was cold he offered 15% off of the bill. That was not our need. We just wanted hot food. More than likely won't be attending this place again. I feel it was overhyped by TikTok and social media. We left hungry. read more

Extremely flavorful food! How is this place not more well known?!?!? After going to the farmers market in Broad Ripple I was looking for a new place to have brunch and thankfully stumbled upon this place. Nothing super fancy looks wise but what's important is what you're going for and paying for which is the food. Food is 10/10 and I can't wait to come back. read more
We were in the area and decided to try this viral new brunch spot. There was no wait at noon on a Saturday. The decor is colorful and set up to take social media photos. It is also extremely loud. The menu has many options for breakfast and lunch. I chose the classic breakfast with blueberry lemon pancakes and my companion had the birria biscuits and gravy. The food was really tasty. I especially liked the pancakes and sausage. My companion did not like the bacon because it was too fatty. Portions were pretty decent. The downfall was a $50 check for 2 breakfast entrees and an iced tea. The food was good enough to make this an occasional option but I wouldn't call it a regular breakfast spot. read more
