Happy Hour menu

We stooped in on a Friday night and it was very busy. They were short staffed due to thinking the evening would not be busy. Every table was taken and it took about 20 min to be seated. The pitcher of margaritas are a little pricey ($45-$50). There's a great Happy Hour special for $25 pitchers. My bowl was delicious and the guacamole was a perfect appetizer. Very fresh!!

This is a great new addition to the SoBro dining scene. My kiddo and I got in on a preview night right as they were opening and were really happy with everything we sampled. I'm just now getting around to catching up on my reviews..... The vibe is colorful, loud and fun, equally appropriate for dining with kids, dinner for two or a girls night out. LOVED my passion fruit margarita (options let you choose different flavors and juices) and the salsa flight - your choice of four dips with a sheet pan full of fresh chips. Yum. At the server's suggestion, I tried the hot honey fried chicken taco and the Korean pork belly taco (my fave of the two). The arroz con pollo my daughter got was delish as well, crispy battered boneless chicken breast with a creamy cilantro rice (and she doesn't even like cilantro.) We would definitely come back.

I'm glad there's somewhere to get margaritas and tacos within walking distance! Great addition to the SoBro neighborhood. Our server was very attentive and service was quick. Mixed drinks (Palomas) were better than the margaritas which surprised me a bit. Food was decent and there was a good selection of things to choose from on the menu. Fun atmosphere. Looking forward to warmer weather to enjoy their patio and give the margaritas a second try .

Staff not waiting on customers.

I normally don't time staff in a restaurant, but I knew in my gut that this is going to be a bad experience. Taco Tuesday 7:00pm and 78 degrees. We sat at the bar for 7 minutes before anyone got behind the bar. One bartender/waitress only and she was making all the drinks and also waiting tables. -menus delivered at 15 mins -water at 18 mins - Queso delivered at 20 minutes and chips spilled on the bar. -Margaritas were delivered at 28 minutes -Food order was delivered 42 minutes after we sat down. There were only 24 people at 7 tables in the restaurant and 20+ outside. 6 wait staff on the clock. How can you have only 1 bartender on your busy weeknight that also waits on tables? I had hoped that they would survive in the neighborhood. I wanted a company with good financial backing to make this location work. The bartender did the best they could, but had to cover way too much real estate. I can't believe I'm saying this... Bring some staff from Carmel/Downtown to train and work at this location.

Look forward to coming back again to try other things, but for my first foray, I went with tacos. Also shared guac and chips- thought it was a bit expensive for how much you got, but it was tasty, and I loved the spice they put on the tortilla chips. Tried the monthly special beef taco- quite tasty! A shrimp taco, which was really good, and mushroom taco, which was breaded and fried, so that was my least fave due to preparation. Also loved that they had so many alcohol free options- I got one of their N Sync drinks that are like an Italian soda- so so good. Hubs loved the bowl he got, but don't recall which it was

Shrimp & Chorizo Grits

Our foodie group came to the new Social Catina Broad Ripple location for brunch one Sunday and it was a delightful experience. The new location has a beautiful ambiance with a excellent bar area, and it is very attractive looking with nice decor all over the restaurant. Our server was excellent and was on top of everything. She was very professional and friendly and was attentive to our needs throughout the dining experience. The food at Social Catina was very good. I ordered the shrimp & Chorizo Grits and the presentation was very nice. It tasted different, but in a good way. There was a lot of oil on the plate, which made the dish not so desirable, but I did enjoy it with the unique taste and flavors. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the chorizo was a very nice touch on the palate. All in all, I did enjoy it, but not what I have been used to from other restaurants where I had shrimp and grits. The nachos with guac and queso was excellent and the churros with dipping sauce were amazing and very fresh! I enjoyed this Social Catina Broad Ripple location, just like I enjoy the Social Catina Carmel location. This is a great place for Mexican food, and the cocktails are superb as always. I do hope this Social Catina location lasts a long time because it is a great addition to Broad Ripple. Everything is worth the price!

Bad tacos, bad margaritas, cool location, sad. It's not that hard but everything is over fried or tasteless.

Cool atmosphere but the food was bland. Pretty, nice presentation but sort of like flavorless chipotle on nice plates

In fact, they have five different spritzes on the menu, which I love to see. Of course, they have the classic Aperol spritz. But they also have some creative takes, like the rose spritz, which is what I chose. It was very tasty, light and refreshing, and not too floral, which can happen with a rose-flavored beverage. Spritzes are amazing but not enough sometimes, so I also got a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. Yum! The pour was generous. I kept my drink orders simple this visit, but Thieves has a whole menu full of creative cocktails. What you do when you enter is just sit down, and someone will come by and take your order. But if you're visiting for coffee (because Thieves is also a coffee bar), you can order at the counter. I don't recall if they offer food. This is mostly a place to get drinks. And it's a lovely place to get drinks. Thieves is located in the heart of Broad Ripple, which means that parking is atrocious. I parked near The Vogue and walked over, but maybe you can find street parking, if you're lucky.

After debating venturing out into…read morewinter weather and playing the downtown parking hunger games, we decided staying in the building was the move. Convenience: 10/10. Turner's itself is a good sized establishment with a pool table and a few different seating areas, which makes it feel like a solid spot to hang out whether you're there for drinks, food, or killing time before an event. They also have a cut out window where you can order Julieta Tacos, which is a really cool option if you want to mix things up food wise without leaving the space. We grabbed seats at the bar where a bartender (didn't catch her name) greeted us and handed over menus. I mentioned we were there for the Devour menu and was told it was over... which was interesting since Turner's website was still advertising it earlier that same morning. After a quick check with a manager, they honored it, which we definitely appreciated because nothing says "Devour disappointment" like ghosted food promos. The Devour deal included a hot dog, chips, and a cocktail. I ordered the Miami Vice and honestly, no notes. Solid drink. We also got to pick snack sized chip bags hanging behind the bar, which felt a little like choosing snacks at a gas station, but hey, variety is variety. Now for the plot twist... We were told our hot dogs were ready and to grab them from the warmer. Exciting, right? Except when we opened the warmer, the foil wrapped hot dogs were... cold. Cold. Like they, too, were braving the Indiana winter. When we let staff know, there was a bit of a team huddle on how to handle it, which felt slightly awkward and unorganized. It also felt like we accidentally became "those customers," simply for wanting our hot dogs to be warm. Thankfully, another bartender, Andre, stepped in like the calm in the storm. He got fresh hot dogs warmed up and brought them out and he continued checking on us for the rest of our visit, which honestly saved the experience. Overall: Cocktails were good, the location is super convenient if you're already at The Stutz, and shoutout to Andre for turning things around! That said, I can probably check Turner's off my list and doubt I'll make a trip back unless I'm already at The Stutz & if I do return, it would likely be for drinks only!

I had the gumbo and recalled it being yummy but again I was starving. Fast forward, I finished my nail appointment in ripple and had t eaten so I thought I give them a try. I got there early as the kitchen doesn't open until 5(not for sure if that's everyday). So I had a 15-20 minute wait which was totally okay with me. I asked my server which should I get: burger or wings and she suggested burger and I got the gumbo. The burger was underwhelming. Nothing special and the patty could have been a little thicker. I did appreciate the freshness of the burger salad. I like to cut my burgers. So I got up from my area and walked to the bar to ask for one. Didn't mind that at all but this is where I have a side eye. My server gets up and is like "I believe there are some back here" referring to their patio area. Proceeds to point in that direction and doesn't grab it for me. Smh. I remind her about the gumbo she apologizes and comes back out with it about 10 min or so later. The gumbo indeed was tasty. Has a nice kick that's not too much. However I could have used more meat. I had 4 quartered sausages only. The gumbo was my favorite and I'd return there for that. My rating is based on the spotty service. While she checked in on me, having me grab my Own knife after she got up did not sit well especially since at the time I was the only person there. And also the burger itself wasn't super filling.

Our server was on top of it throughout the night. My only qualm with the outdoor area is the booth we were at is a two top, and there is a four top about two feet away- we could hear all the conversations down to the word next to us, and most likely vice versa. We started off with the pimento cheese. The bread was crispy, and the kimchi on top tasted authentic. We then transitioned to the birria mandu- the sauce was a little salty which I liked, and the mandu was flavored. I appreciated the pickled onions with it. We then got asparagus- probably our least favorite part of the meal. The asparagus was crunchy, the sauce was a nice touch, but the price for what we got seemed a little excessive. We split a burger and half chicken for our mains. Probably my favorite burger in all of Indy. The half chicken breading was thick, the sauce was sweet, and the mashed potatoes it came with were creamy. I could do without the broccolini on top- I didn't see how it goes with the vibe of the rest of the meal. I had an Oaxacan daiquiri as well. It was strong but not particularly overpowering. Would probably try something else when we return. Overall, the ambience was nice, service was quick, and the food was fantastic. We can't wait to return.
