I was pleasantly surprised to discover El Porto today! It's located where Queso's once was off of Hazel Dell and 146 in Noblesville. I had the Veggie Enchiladas and they were some of the best enchiladas I've had in Indiana in a while. My husband had the Chorizo Quesadilla and loved it. The guacamole is also delicious! All of the staff were so welcoming and seem very dedicated. I will definitely be back to enjoy the patio and cute decor! Thank you

Came here for quick lunch alone! Special lunch menu. I tried fajitas that were amazing! Chicken had great flavor and veggies cooked to perfection. Crispy and full of flavor. Will have to come back to try more menu options. Lots of seating avail. Full bar although don't try anything.

This place never disappoints, I've already come back more times than I can count. David is such a great waiter and is very attentive. If you catch Luis at the bar, he'll treat you right with the perfect beverages he creats for you. I love the music and the atmosphere is always welcoming! I highly recommend coming here again and again.

Corn from a can, store-bought salsa, and flavorless chicken fajitas--just not worth it. It felt like a waste of money for us.

The hostess was completely dismissive as take the table we give you or leave. It was my sister's birthday so we didn't have much choices if we left for a Saturday night. We sat down to order drinks and the bartender missed the mark in the Mule drink. It was all the taste of jalapeño to the point a different drink has to be ordered. So far not a good start to the night. We ordered empanadas as an appetizer and 2 were served in a plate with a side of salsa. They were very bland with no flavor in the filling. The puff pastry and the salsa were the substitute for the flavor. Entrees were Crab stuffed Salmon with Asparagus, tomato/horseradish soup with 2 cheese crostini's, 2 small crunch salads. The portions were on mark,Not too big not too small. Salmon was blackened and cooked to perfection. Salads had fresh veggies and the dressing complimented the dish. The soup is amazing however it was served more in the warm side. The server was sub par. Not too friendly, she was all business and didn't t see her much. This was the 4 time I was there and was so disappointed this time. The food was good but the service was horrible.

When Plan A Falls Through, Sometimes You Find Something Better…read moreOur original restaurant choice was closed for the month. Time for a pivot. My father-in-law works downtown Noblesville and suggested we try Bar Ellis. Little did we know, we were about to stumble into one of the best dining experiences we'd had in a long time. Walking through the door, I was immediately struck by the interior. Historic brick walls met comfortable, chic modern design. The space was warmly lit and welcoming, and fortunately, so was the team at Bar Ellis. The hostess seated us quickly, and Grant, our server, arrived moments later with drink menus and a genuine smile. Then came the real challenge: helping my non-seafood-eating wife find a gluten-free option she'd actually enjoy. After a thoughtful conversation with Grant, she made her choice. I followed, excitedly ordering the salmon BLT. "Is this one any good?" I asked. Grant's face said it all. I was in for a treat. He wasn't exaggerating. My sandwich was one of the best I've ever had. The salmon was perfectly prepared. The bacon was crisp and full of flavor. The bread was toasted just right, crispy but not too thick. Every element worked in harmony: the crunch of the bread, the tenderness of the salmon, the crisp bacon, all elevated by a dill mayo that tied everything together. I know it's "just" an elevated BLT. But it's the best one I've ever had. I was genuinely sad when it was over. It was one of those rare meals that left me wishing I could be hungry all over again. As we finished, I sought out the manager, Chamron. She greeted me warmly and asked how everything was. After sharing my compliments about the food and service, I asked about the story behind Bar Ellis. She smiled and told me about two sisters and a brother-in-law, a chef with a passion for exceptional food and desserts, who dreamed of creating a restaurant that was both classy and hip. Then she shared something unexpected: Bar Ellis transforms on Friday and Saturday nights from 9 PM to midnight. Friday features karaoke, Saturday brings live music, and the whole place shifts to a 21-and-over scene. Even the lighting changes, creating a darker, moodier atmosphere. The scratch kitchen stays open throughout, so you won't miss out on that incredible food. I'm usually too old to be out that late, but I just might need to make an exception to experience this transformed space and enjoy that delicious salmon BLT again. If you're looking for a restaurant that's genuinely cool, serves exceptional food, and employs a team that actually cares about your experience, check out Bar Ellis in downtown Noblesville. You won't regret it.

With them being open so late it was our last stop of the night after going out with my sister and brother in law. The bartender was really nice and we ordered a round of shots and some beers and chatted at the bar. Later on we got one last round of shots before getting an Uber back. It is a fun place for cheap drinks and hanging out with friends. It is also nice to have several bars that are walkable from everywhere in downtown Noblesville. They also have TouchTunes, so I went to play a song as soon as we sat down. There was a man in a blue short-sleeved shirt who was apparently Lord of the TouchTunes that periodically would go stand in front of the machine for 5 minutes (or longer) and spend what I assume was hundreds of dollars that night to skip everyone else's songs and play what he wanted to. That is risk when using TouchTunes since people can pay more to skip and play their songs, but it was super annoying since he did it the entire time we were there. We stayed an hour, hour and a half, and as we were cashing out the song I had paid to play when we first arrived finally came on.

For that reason, The Goat got in trouble by the city a while back, and was shut down for a time. But then it reopened, and now it seems to be minding its Ps and Qs, for the most part. You will know you're at The Goat when you see a big American flag flapping in the breeze outside of the restaurant. You'll also know you're at The Goat when you spot the Donald Trump beer tap handle at the bar. OK! They must really like the movie "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York" here. There really is a place for everyone, and I somehow found myself in this place. But you know what? I got nothing but love (or like, really) for The Goat. My experience was great. The service was excellent. The beer, wine and spirits list was outstanding. The music they were playing was nice (heck yeah to whoever chose to play mid-90s Incubus, Bush and Marcy Playground.) I'm the type of person who goes to a dive-ish bar and orders wine, and the kind people at The Goat didn't even blink, and poured me a nice, generous glass. Fine, two glasses. If you're the kind of person who drinks bourbon, your heart will start beating faster when you step into The Goat. They have an amazing bourbon list. On Wednesdays, they do $12 pours of select bottles, some of which are $100+ per bottle. So, you can try out some top-shelf bourbon at a decent price. Mark your calendar for Wednesdays at The Goat, if you're into bourbon. My visit was just for drinks with a small party, and we didn't try any of the food. But we got a variety of drinks among us, including red wine, beer, straight bourbon and blueberry cider. They have a lot of different types of alcohol to please an adult palate. Speaking of adults, this place is 21+ only!

I'm told the late night scene is excellent for the 21-35 crowd. I'm typically there between 3 PM - 6 PM. My experience with the service has always been good. Be sure to follow their social media accounts if you're a whiskey connoisseur. They have some killer monthly specials.

We went for a 3:00 show on a Sunday such that by the time we got out, it was 6:00-still early. It was in the 30's outside and already dark (thanks DLS time). Yet as we reached the top of the stairs to the lobby I was immediately disappointed that there was no fire lit in the fireplace. There were only three parties in the place. One was around the corner in the adjoining sitting area and may or may not have been drinking. There were two couples at the bar, where we considered also sitting. But the only empty spot for two had two dirty drink glasses from a previous patron still sitting. So we opted for the leather couch and chair in the main area just across from the bar. And that's where we waited, and waited, for almost 30 minutes, before giving up on getting served (or acknowledged). There was only one bartender, so we were fine with going up to order but communication would have been helpful. We stood at the bar while she chatted with the two couples, who'd all been served. We couldn't really figure out what she was doing as she seemed busy-ish yet wasn't serving, or clearing, or washing, and we were chatting between ourselves and didn't really give it much thought. Then she said she was out of something and was leaving the bar to go fetch it. We asked her to let us know when she was ready to serve us, and we took our seats to resume our conversation. The bartender returned after a while, and she served one of the original couples ... for another 10 minutes at least. Again we were talking so, while an irritation, it was in the background. About 50 minutes into our visit, she came over and took our drink order. This was my third or fourth visit, and I'd ordered my drink, an old fashioned, before and knew what to expect: bourbon of choice, Luxardo cherry, and a dehydrated orange slice. Ten minutes later we got our drinks. Now mind you, my friend ordered a glass of wine. Nothing time consuming about that. She noted that her pour was smaller than the other times she'd been there. Mine came with the whisky cube already on its way to melted, a broken (a.k.a. piece of) cherry and a twist. What? Where's my glorious little crunchy orange wheel of goodness? I had spied them on the bar earlier. No soup for me! Also, and I can't be sure 100% sure of this, but I tasted neither bitters nor syrup. Was this really just a bourbon rocks? It took a minute but we realized this gal cannot tend and talk at the same time. My friend commented that she had no idea what will happen when the place gets busy, as it has been every other time I've been there. We left after 8:00, after one drink, and for me, $21 lighter. Yeah, it's pricey. And the Carmichael crowd is a discriminating one. So we expected better. Much, much better.
