I am a Night Shift nurse in the local area. I had gotten off working four shifts in a row and wanted to enjoy brunch with my coworkers. Milan greeted us with a warm welcome and provided excellent service and experience. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommended the blueberry lemon mimosa. Worst possible that I have ever had here. The food was tasteless and very bland. Spoke to the manager who decided to cut me off every time I tried to explain why I wasn't happy with my food. Instead of just listening to the customer. I didn't ask for it to be removed, I was letting her know what I didn't like. Her first interruption was that I didn't order it right. Had she listened and not interrupted me she would have been better off. I paid for my meal, she tried to give me a complimentary meal next time I came in, I didn't accept it. I paid and left, my wife was in waiting for water to go, and the manager decided to talk about me to the bartender, didn't realize my wife was there. We were on vacation staying at Hotel Effie so the walk to Harbor wharf was close and I was so happy to see Another broken egg. There was a 30 min wait but it gave us time to stroll and see the shops nearby. I originally told the hostess we would prefer first available table but preferably inside. So when she did call us she brought us to a table outside but it was hot so I asked my waitress Howaida since I didn't see anyone else waiting if they had any tables inside. She was very accommodating and found us one which seemed to agitate the hostess ,who was saving it for someone who hadn't arrived yet. I explained I asked her earlier for first available but preferably inside. The host wasn't happy but Howaida said come inside we got it under control. I truly appreciated that. Not only was the service from Howaida excellent the food was delicious, and strawberry mimosas on point not one complaint. There was a sign up wait time of 5 minutes- after waiting 40 minutes with people continually asking us to move out of the way- they told us it would be at least 20 more minutes and then we would have to wait 40 minutes for food. We had a wonderful brunch here. We used to frequent Another broken egg often when they were located in another spot. This is a great new location. We love that this location offers a full bar. Truly we went for the spiked coffees on the menu. They were great! Also had the eggs benedict on the specials menu. All food was great. We asked for potatoes to sub for grits. We were accidentally brought the grits but they quickly brought out the potatoes. Server was nice and helpful. He asked if we had dined with them before. Went in to ask if we could sit outside and the most unfriendly hostess just grunted and gave me two menus. We waited at least 15 minutes no one came to greet us. I have been to Another Broken Egg Cafe before in many different states. With this one in particular I was so disappointed with my service and food. My group of 9 waited 30 min just get our drinks because the staff was arguing about who had to take our table. It ended up being the bartender who took our table while the other waitress staff were on the phones and talking at the front desk. The bartender did great for it not being her job. To top it off after an hour and ten min wait our food came out cold and varied in portions drastically. I would not recommend ever especially if you don't have 3 hours to kill. read more
