We've been fortunate to visit the Destin area a couple of times in the past few months and both times we visited Sarah K's. We've had probably the tastiest breakfast I've ever had (which was kindly delivered to our rental prior to our arrival), the brownies, the clam chowder, and a few other items. Without exception, they were all amazing. Sarah is clearly an incredibly talented chef who puts a ton of time and effort into her craft. We have eaten here for 4 days in a row!!! This place is a little gem!!! We have had crab stuffed chicken, crab cakes, lobster bisque, crab & shrimp Mac n cheese. The crab cakes are made with no filler and 100% blue crab. For those use to Maryland crab cakes there are NOT lumps of crab inside. But these are made with fresh white blue crab meat (not backfin meat). For the price and quantity this place can't be beat! Plus Sarah K works in her store and is one of the nicest people around. They will even warm up food for you if you call in advance. I would highly recommend giving this place a try. We have seen many others coming back too in our few days here. For 6 people we got the crab and shrimp Mac n cheese, 3 crab cakes, crab stuffed chicken, chicken Wellington, baked potato casserole, and an order of chicken tenders for our youngest. Everyone was happy! My personal favorites were the chicken Wellington and crab stuffed chicken, but everyone else loved the crab cakes the most. But everything we ordered was really good. I am so glad I shopped here! I've been coming to Destin for 12 years, and the crab cakes at Sarah K's are the best I've ever had. We also had chicken stuffed with lump crab meat, sesame green beans and sea salt potatoes. We spent more time eating at our condo because of Covid-19 and this food was better than any restaurant! The heating instructions were so simple and there were no dishes to clean up. Our family was so pleased we are going to pick up some frozen meals to go. Holy moley. Let me preface this by saying I kind of hate going to restaurants and getting crab cakes because you never know what ratio of insides you're going to get, no matter what the server, if they even know, tells you. But this place, Sarah K's, they are a hundred percent crab and they are one of the best things to pass through my mouth. Sarah offers a great sauce to go with it but the cakes are so good I think they're a detriment to the quality but that's just me. I'll be using the sauce for other things. The cakes are perfect as is. The potato salad is also great. Probably the best I've had of that too. Check them out. read more

Just returned home with what sarah K refers to as her almost a half a pound crab cakes. Where I come from that's nearly 8 ounces!!! They looked kinda tiny like a small cupcake so I decided to weigh them on my scale. "TWO" of them weighed exactly 8 ounces. I was in town for vacay and my friend suggested we go here. Heard the food and mainly the crab cakes is one of the best in town so we decided to stop here for lunch. There was four of us so we ordered the following to share: 2 crab cakes 9.90 each 2 Chicken stuffed crab meat ($7-8) 1 Hearty meat lasagna ($5-6) and an small Togo size container for the spicy seafood sauce Sarah K offered at 1dollar and some change each. (really small size) Sarah K is mainly focusing on consumers that would like cold foods togo so they can heat it up themselves at home. But Sarah K also offered to heat up the foods there if you are planning to eat it immediately. But head ups, there is no table or chairs at Sarah K so you would have to eat it somewhere else. (Maybe in your car or at the frozen yogurt next door). After trying all the dishes we ordered, My favorite surprisingly is not the crab cakes which boast all 100% real crab meat with just crab meats and not filtered stuff. The chicken stuffed crab meat was spectacular and just the right amount of creamy with just the right seasoning as well. For the crab cakes, it was just a little too mushy and not enough flavor. The lasagna was good but unfortunately they didn't heat it up enough so it was still cold at some part and that was too bad because if it was hotter, it could have been easily comparable to the chicken. Overall, I would come back here when I am back in Destin, Fl. Just next time, I will go back to my hotel and heat it up real good. P.S. Sarah K's also offered sweets and drinks and also they do ship around the states. That's pretty cool in my opinion. Stopped by here while on vacation. After going out for dinner every night at seafood bars with identical menus, this little shop was a nice change. The food is all pre-made and comes with cooking instructions already on the box. I'm not usually a fan of crab cakes OR coleslaw but Sarah K's offerings are an exception to the rule. The crab cakes are just that: CRAB cakes. None of that 75% stuffing, 15% crab bull that usually puts me off ordering them. The slaw here is laced with mandarin oranges/peanuts, and tossed in a light dressing as opposed to the usual saturation of mayonnaise I have come to expect from restaurants. Amazing. This is truly a gourmet food shop and while the prices reflect it, the taste is definitely worth it. read more

We were in Destin for our son's wedding in mid-April and had an opportunity to tray Sarah K's famous crab cakes!!!! They were the best we've had and are true crab cake lovers. We also got a take out dinner one what which was great as well. Then to top off our fabulous week, returned to Sarah K's once more for an encore of crab cakes!!! Meh, it's okay. I have had better chicken strips and twice baked loaded potato casserole. The crab cake is all crab like stated. Definitely not the best crab cake I've had but it was okay. The crust was too mushy for me I like the outside to be crunchy. The reheated chicken strips had a mushy crunch on them of course that's to be expected when they reheat it in the microwave. Maybe invest in toaster oven incase people are trying to get lunch. two can cokes, potato casserole, chicken strips, and one crab cake the total was $$25 and some change. Visiting Destin area from Jax, I have heard about the crab cakes for months and was pleasantly surprised. 1/2 lb of jumbo lump crab meat! All meat, no bread or fillers. Very Very Tasty. The staff was amazingly friendly and quite helpful with great suggestions. Death by Chocolate! Need I say more? And decadent macaroni and cheese to bake at home was sinfully delicious. We were hoping for a cupcake but were distracted by and decided on the death by chocolate brownie. We were very disappointed in that brownie. For a splurge get the crab cakes (there's a reason they win Best Crabcake every year), or split one of their chicken dishes, get a few sides and a chocolate brownie and you've got a great dinner for two. After reading all the great reviews on the crab cakes, I had to go buy some while we were down here this week visiting Destin. Bought 3 crab cakes. They were big, and they were full of crab meat. However, I did not find chunks of crab meat on the inside as people were raving about. Instead it was nothing but mush. I found strings of crab meat mushed together. I was very disappointed that I spent 30.00 on 3 crab cakes. The establishment seemed to have good other choices, but did not try them. read more
